Sunny Disposition

I knocked back the last of my seventh whiskey. The attractive bar lady stared at me hopelessly, pouring me another without my go ahead.

"You can't stay here all night" she sighed. "Just cos' I am, doesn't mean you are"

"Giving you money aren't I?" I said taking the eighth drink from her painted finger tips. My voice was monotone, had been all night. I stared in one spot all night too. Just staring at the bar lost in thought. The one thought of the woman I loved falling for somebody else, better than me. I was prepared to do, anything really to have her. I could not stop daydreaming. All day.

I dreamed :

It was morning. I woke up at 9:30AM. A lay in for us. We never slept at night since. I dragged myself out of bed, stood in front of the large window staring into the back garden which was whitened with frost. I yawned loudly, stretching my partially naked body as far as it would go. I felt arms wrap around me. Warming my cold body, instantly making me smile. The familiar touch I felt everyday.

"Good morning" she sang, kissing every inch of my back that she could reach on her tip toes. "I hope you got more sleep than I did" she was the one getting up all the time.

"Wish I could help," I sighed annoyingly. I span around and hugged her softly. I kissed her gently and smiled into the kiss. "I love y-" We was interrupted by a scream. Followed by loud barking. "My turn"

I rushed out of the bedroom into the little one's room. Saw our daughter screaming and moaning. She was 6 months old. Unexpected, but she was the best and most secretly wanted surprise. I picked her up, hushing her, rocking her. I held her over my shoulder so her big beautiful eyes (which she got from Sophia) could see the world.

"You really didn't sleep well did you?" I frowned slowly calming her crying. "Well - we didn't either, thank you" I sighed. The sleeping sucked, but - she really was the best thing to happen to us. Suddenly, her cries stopped and a huge giggle replaced it. I turned around and saw Sophia walk in the room carrying a teddy of hers, which she rescued from the washing basket. It was a small toy, an elephant. It was soft, gray - and covered with sick. She threw up on it last night, Sophia chucked it in the basket at 4 this morning. But, still covered in sick - in managed to make her laugh.

"Say bye bye to Mr. Elephant" she played, waving the teddy around her. "He's going in the wash" Sophia stole our daughter, Ava, and span her around. "Let's go say good morning to Joey!"

Joey was our dog. We had a husky. Another great thing to happen to us.

We had been dating again for 2 years. More in love than ever, loving each other more everyday. I wanted to marry her. I had the engagement ring. Her father gave me her mothers engagement ring. It was beautiful, it had an emerald stone which was her favorite color. I was waiting for the right moment. It took so much gut to not burst it out at random times. I wanted the perfect moment. She was everything-

"Matt?" Sophia laughed waving her hand over my eyes. "Daydreamer" she giggled. I snapped out of my imagination, and she stood infront of me.

"Sophia," I sighed. "I'm in love with you"
