The doorbell startled her from the heavy sleep she was in. Checking the time on her phone she saw it was around 10 in the morning. Climbing out of bed, she threw on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts before heading downstairs to answer the door.

Opening the door, she saw a guy standing out on her front step. A black Mustang was idling on the side of the road with another guy sitting in the driver's seat.

“Can I help you?” She asked.

“My name is Zacky. I live next door to you and I just wanted to introduce myself to you.” He said as he handed her a plate of brownies.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Zacky. I’m Gena. Thank you for the brownies.” She said.

“No problem Gena. I have to go now but I’ll talk to you soon.” Zacky said before heading back to the mustang.

Gena watched him drive off before heading back inside. It was time for a shower then to go job hunting.

“Do you honestly think you have a shot with her? Gena is so out of your league.” Shadows was saying as Zacky walked into the room.

“Probably not, but I don’t take no for an answer.” Zacky responded. Ever since meeting the girl a few days a girl, he was starting to develop a crush on her. She was stunning and any guy would be lucky enough to be with her.

“Well, give it time. She’s only been here for a week.” Brian responded. Zacky just shrugged his shoulders and got back to working on the song for his latest record. When the time was right, he would ask her out. But until then, he would see how things played out.
