Damn, how could I be so careless?! Brian came home today and he's been waiting for me since god knows when. And I'm still stuck here in my office, for what?! For my boss to let me go home.

Yeah, yeah I'm twenty six years old and I still need my boss' permission to go home. Speaking of my boss, well Madison is a hard core, narsissistic bitch. She's in her early thirties, still single and maybe that's why isn't letting me unite with my boyfriend! She's met Brian a few times when he came to pick me and did anybody know that other than being lady Hitler she's a flirt too?!

"Emily!"

Speak of the devil and devil's here. I hear a high pitched voice which belongs to the one and only, Madison Burke, also known as a giant pain in my ass.

"How can I help you?" I say, showing her the fakest smile I ever let my lips adorn.

"Don't you have a home to go?!" She shrieks.

"Of course, I do. But my work isn't finished yet 'cause you see you gave me all these files to go through." I say with a pinch of sarcasm, motioning her the stack of files resting on my desk.

"Go home, Emily. And next time when you come into the office, just work rather than wasting your time on irrelevant things such as.....uh, never mind." Madison replied, cringing her face and I swear I never wanted to punch her face so bad ever before!

"What a bitch." I muttered once she's out of my cabin. I gather my stuff and put on my blue lace jacket on top of my gray shirt. The taxi ride to my house took forty minutes probably. It was almost 12 when I paid the driver and walked in front of my duplex house. At least Madison gives a high raise to all of us.

"Bri, I'm home." I say out loud, shutting the main door behind me.

Silence.

Only the dim lights are on and I don't see any sign of my boyfriend. "Brian?" I call out again, letting my bag to fall on the couch. "Hmm." I hummed, noticing the lights turned on in my bedroom. I take off my heels and slide of my jacket before pushing the door open slowly.

"Are you hiding in here, babe?" I say, a chuckle escaping my lips as I try to tip toe inside.

"Boo." Even though Brian's voice was calm as ever, it still made me gasp and turn around, only to find him standing near behind the door. His lazy pair of chocolate brown eyes scanned my body as I walked to him.

"You cut your hair?" I ask before running a hand through his now short, spiky hair. "I come home after three months and the first thing to say to me is this?" He says, cocking an eyebrow. "Yes 'cause I'll miss your long hair." I reply, smiling. "Long hair's a pain in the ass." He says, sliding his left arm around my waist.

"So should I cut my hair too?" I mocked. "Em, you know I love your long, dark tresses so much." He says, caressing my hair from the back with his free hand.

"So how was life on the road?" I ask as he kissed the corner of my mouth. "I'm trying to get you to have sex with me right now and you wanna talk about my life on the road?" He says, cringing his face.

"What?" I said, giggling.

"Okay, now don't ask any more questions. Just follow me." He said before dragging me outside through the backdoor. "It's kinda chilly out here, babe." I said, once we were out of the house. "I'll keep you warm." He said with a wink and wiggle his eyebrows, making my cheeks turn crimson.

Did I mention previously that my backyard isn't a yard actually, it's a beach? Probably not. And now Brian's brought me here in the middle of the night and 'cause it's late October, I'm shivering a little.

"I thought we were gonna have sex and fuck each other's brains out." I joked, glancing at Brian who now shot me an amused look. "We'll get there soon, Em. Geez, grow some patience." He said and glared at him mockingly. He chuckled and pulled me towards the sand.

The sand felt really cool under my feet as a slow gust of wind made my hair swept over to the side and fall over my face. "Let me." Brian said, stopping me from pushing away the dark locks of hair from my face. "Someone's in a good mood tonight." I say smiling as he pushes the hair out of my face.

"That's 'cause that 'someone' is gonna get some tonight." He sings, making me smack his chest playfully. "Come on." He says with a laugh and we sat down right at the edge of the water.

"How are the boys?" I ask, leaning my body into his and resting my head in the crook of his neck. He wrapped his muscular arms around me as I breathed in his intoxicating scent. "They're fine." He says and kisses my hair.

"So now are you gonna tell me how was your tour?" I asked and he hummed a yes, entwining our fingers together. "Great, as usual. But you were missing. " He says, making me smile.

"So you missed me." I say, glancing back at him.
"A lot." He says, fiddling with the fabric of my shirt.

"And did you-" He cut me off by pressing his soft lips gently against mine. My eyes closed instinctively and I parted my lips slightly, while his thumb traced circles on the back of my hand. I was surprised to see at how slow he was taking this. Our tongues moved in sync with each other as we took in each other's soft moans.

"You talk too much." He mumbles against my lips, making me smile. "And you still put up with me." I say, pulling away slightly. "I love you, Emily." He says, pressing his forehead against mine.

"Really?" I joked and he shot me a funny look. "I love you too, you doofus." I say, cuddling into his chest.

We sat there like that for minutes, updating each other about our lives a little bit as our feet got wet in the cool sea water. "I wanna tell you something." He says and I motion for him to go on.

"Emily, uh I, I've been thinking a lot....about us and I think that we...." He stops mid sentence and exhales. I turn around completely and kneel in front of him.

"You think that we....?" I question him, slowly running my fingers down his left arm. "Okay, don't do that now. You're making this a bit hard." He groaned, making me chuckle. "Go on, muscle man." I say and he raises an eyebrow.

"God. You're the one who's hard to put up with." I say, rolling my eyes jokingly.

"Emily," He cleared his throat and continued. "....I wanna make you mine, forever." He says, nervously. "Didn't you notice that I am your since the last four years?" I asked.

"I wanna marry you." He blurts out, leaving me speechless.
"What?" I asked, not believing my goddamn ears.

"Will you, Emily Rosalyn Meyer, marry my lazy ass and make me the happiest man on earth?" Brian said, kneeling in front of ne so that our faces were the same level now. He took out a small black box from his pocket and revealed the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.

"Please marry me, Emily." Brian said, smiling brightly. "Only 'cause you said please, yes I will marry you." I said and he slid the ring up my finger. "Thanks a lot, Em." He said, clutching my face in his hands. "Okay, stop thanking me. I'd have said yes even if you'd asked me this question ten years later too." I said, chuckling.

"Really?" He asks, surprised. "Yes, you silly. But don't expect me to wait my whole life." I said, narrowing my eyes at him jokingly. "I just lost my bachelor days. Damn!" He says in a high pitched voice, making me laugh.

"Hey, you asked me to marry you." I said, smacking his arm playfully. "I did and I'm glad that you said yes. And now I'm gonna ask you another question." He says and I motion for him to go on. "Do you see anyone else 'round here other than us?" He asked and I gave him a weird look.

"Can't you see it for yourself?" I asked but looked around anyways.

"There's no one here, Bri. I think you should-" Once again, he cut me off by smashing his lips against mine. Without a second thought, he pulled me on top of him and I wrapped my legs around his waist. As the kiss grew intense, his fingers slowly unbuttoned my gray shirt and I pulled off his black v neck once he slipped off my shirt quickly.

"You want it here?" I break our kiss and say while his fingers work quickly on my jeans. "Why not?" He says out of breath and pushes my dark jeans down, exposing my legs.

After fumbling with his belt for a while, I pulled it off and undid the button slowly. He took them off quickly before staring into my eyes. He worked to unclasp my bra and slipped it off gently. Our lips locked again, deeper this time as his warm fingers slipped off my panties.
