Hidden Desires

Matt's POV:

My phone slides back into its resting spot my pocket. I'm still chuckling after the phone call I had just had with Allie. She told me how Zacky had called her.

Also that he mentioned what had happened between the two of us. Allie told me that to ease Zacky's mind she explained our deal to him. I had to wonder what Zacky thought about it.

He was so worried about effecting our relationship he spilled the beans. I couldn't be angry with him at all. In fact it made me happy to know Zacky is such a good guy and he cared enough about Allie and I to make the call. I'm sure it wasn't ready for him.

The five of us hit the stage. It's time for another sound check. We blaze through it.

On the way off the stage Zacky catches me elbow. We agree to go to lunch. It would be just the two of us.

A couple of building down from the venue is a Wendy's. We place our orders. Once our food is ready we take it to a table.

"I spoke to Allie." packy says nervously.

"I know." I answer after swallowing the bite of my Dave's hot and juicy burger.

"You know?" He asks.

I nod my head choosing to enjoy my food rather than speak. An uneasy smile tilts his lips. With a swish of my drink a finish off my burger.

"Thank you." I honestly am thankful to have a friend like Zacky.

"You're not angry?" Zacky questions looking shocked.

"Of course not. You cared about both Allie and myself enough to call her. She already knew what was going to happen but you didn't know that. I really appreciate that."

Zacky nods his head. It's clear he's totally confused. Leaning in closer I decide to elaborate.

"Allie and I made a deal. If I give her what she wants than I'm allowed to get have something I've desired for a long time." Zacky doesn't need to know exact details. We both get up. Throwing our trash away we leave.

I get into the drivers seat. Zacky climbs into the passengers seat.

"I'm going to help you." He says.

"With what?" I question.

"Achieving your goal." Zacky replies.

I scoff. There's no way I believe he can. He doesn't even know what my goal is.

"So who's next?"

It's my turn to be shocked.
