Big Not So Bad Wolf

Allie's POV:

That feeling followed me everywhere I went. I wanted to claw off my skin. I wanted to become invisible. Maybe even be somebody else.

At this point I'd do whatever I could. Any thing to make this feeling go away. I couldn't deny I was being watched any longer.

After a weeks worth of this torture I was at my wits end. I finally lost it one night. Another night I couldn't sleep was the last straw.

I dash down stairs. Cocoa and Molly lift their heads giving me puzzled looks. I ignore them I whipping the sliding glass door open.

Stomping out on to my back yard lawn. My arms shoot in to the air. With my feet firmly planted I open my mouth.

"I'm right here you motherfucker. If you want me come and get me you bastard!" I scream.

I'm sure the whole neighbourhood could hear me. I didn't care at this point. I'd be willing to bet they all believed I had lost my mind.

The truth of the matter was I questioned myself about why I'd allowed this to go on for a week. I would have to agree with their assessment. In fact I knew that my sanity was gone or just about gone.

I don't know how long I stood there just waiting for someone to show themselves to me. It struck me all at once, it's the middle of the night and I'm yelling at air. I suddenly felt ridiculous.

As I'm turning to go back inside I see a pair of red eyes starting back at me from the woods behind my house. There's no way in hell I was staying outside any longer.

A part of me was curious about what kind of creature was attached to eyes like that. I wasn't about to go find out though. Cocoa and Molly were the safer bet any day.

I high tail it back to the safety of my home. The lock on the sliding glass door seemed flimsy. I fumble with the curtain to cover the glass.

I walk down stairs. I greet my dogs telling them I'm happy to have their company. I fill their food dishes then wait. Each chows down immediately.

They tell me they're ready to go out side. I pull the curtain away from the back doors. Written there on the glass are the words; I'm watching you!
