Big Not So Bad Wolf

Zacky's POV:

After what fells like an eternity but I know was actually shorter than the GPS said it would thanks to Matt's skillful driving we finally arrive at the house. I jump from the car before it's parked.

The guys follow not a minute later. All the doors are left open. The keys stay in the ignition. None of us are worried about someone trying to steal the vehicle.

Matt's foot slams into the front door. Out splitters down the middle. Pushing it aside he steps in to the house. Johnny and Brian shoot past us racing up the stairs.

The diminishing scent of honeysuckle and caramel liners in the air. I know it belongs to Allie. Also I know that Allie is no longer here.

There are two other scents I recognize. The soon to be dead mother fucker who killed Jimmy. Plus that douchebag Elizabeth who would be joining his cohort.

Another unknown smell hits my nose. It belongs to a female wolf. I can't say much more than that. Part of me hopes that this wolf is Matt's mate.

Even though he hasn't said anything I know it's hard on him. He's the only one of us yet to find their mate. Out of all of us I'd say he's the most deserving.

Foot steps on the stairs draws my attention. Johnny is walking down with a girl clinging to his side. I well up with pride seeing how well he's carrying for her.

Brian isn't far behind. His arms full with a mass of white fur. It's clear the wolf is unconscious.

He whispers soothingly to her. Telling her everything is alright. As well as that he's got her and won't let anything or anyone hurt her.

The pair turn to look at me questioningly. I shake my head telling them that Allie isn't here any longer. There smiles falter.

It didn't matter to mean if this mystery would was or wasn't Matt's mate. As far as I'm concerned she's now part of our pack. That means she's our responsibility.

For now we'd have to settle in the knowledge that two out of four women are safe. We wouldn't stop looking for Allie and the other women however. We won't rest until they're found. Along with bringing them back safe and sound.

A sudden noise catches my ear. Dashing out the front door I see some one run around the back of the house. Chasing after him I tackle him to the ground.

I quickly discover it's a kid. Opening his mouth he begs me not to hurt him. I pull him up and tell him to explain.

"Elijah has my family and is going to kill them if I don't spy on you and report back." He tells me.

My blood fires even hotter. This poor kid can't be more than thirteen years old. He didn't need this kind of stress in his life.

I release him. Before I let him run off I promise I'll bring his family back to him without any harm coming to them. I didn't tell him I was going to kill Elijah to do it. Some things are simply better left unsaid.
