Follow The Tides, Wherever You've Been

Now What

We had already spent almost two hours out in the water once I realized that it was almost noon. I started to make my way out of the water, and away from the guys, who were still playing like little kids. "Hey, B, where are you going?!" Sam yelled after me. "I need to go get dressed, I've decided to look for a job today, I think it's about time that I get one!" "Oh! Okay, have fun!" I walked into the house, and made my way through the many halls to my room. I stepped in, locking the door behind myself. I didn't know what the guys would do if I didn't lock it, I wasn't taking any chances. I showered, then proceeded to slip on a tank and skirt. I slipped on my gladiators, put on some makeup, and headed out of my bedroom. I can honestly say I was surprised when I wasn't confronted by anyone on my way out of the house. I texted the guys to tell them not to wait up for me, and slipped out of the drive in Sam's truck. I knew he wouldn't mind if I borrowed it, he would be a lot more lenient than the others about me stealing his vehicle for the day. It was almost 3:30, and I wasn't having very much luck with my search, so I decided to hit a local bar called Sally's. I parked down the street a little, due to the lack of parking near the building. I was almost to the doors when a pair of hands grabbed my waist from behind. I almost screamed, but was cut off by a hand over my mouth. Shit. Why did this always happen to me?! "Now what's a pretty little lady like you walking the streets for?" The guy spoke, removing his hand from over my mouth. " You could easily get hurt, there's too many men out here that would kill to get their hands on pretty little girls like you." "Even at 3:30 in the afternoon, huh?" This guy didn't seem too threatening, so I decided to try out some sarcasm. "Yes." He replied, his face serious. "Oh." "Where you headed? I could give you a lift if you want." "I was actually headed to Sally's." "Why, you planning on getting a job there?" A hint of sarcasm evident in his voice. "No offense, or anything." "None taken? It's okay. I wouldn't mind working there, I guess, I just had never thought about it." "I actually own the place. I feel like you're too good to work there, you seem like a pretty nice girl. You sure you can't find somewhere better? Not trying to turn you away, I will gladly hire you, if you want." "Holy shit. No interview or anything? You're willing to hire me on the spot? And, I have been trying for what seems like all day to find a job, but I haven't seemed to find anything. Well, until now. Yes, I will take the job, and I'm no goody two shoes or anything, if that's what you're thinking." "Nope. Just making sure you are sure about the job. You cab start tonight if you want. The sooner the better." "You must be in desperate need of someone new then." I laughed slightly. "I guess you could say that, but it's not really the business that needs someone new, it's the customers." He smirked. "Follow me, I'll show you what you will be doing." I followed him into the bar, and was taken aback. What in the fuck had I gotten myself into?

Aww, I'm sorry to say that I won't be making a sequel to this story. This was my first story on here, and looking back at it now, I really don't like the way it turned out. But I appreciate your comment. :) it means a lot to know someone liked the story.
