Dead Memories Of Eve

When it comes to Matt, it was hard to be a special girl to him. Or a guy. Eve didn't know his sexual identify is. But it was hard to seduce him. It's because Val and Matt was dating for like three or more years. They were both faithful to each other.

That's why Matt had always been cold to Eve. She had always wondered if her existence was irritating Matt or Val. Neither Matt nor Val tried to be friend with her. They werent talking too much with Eve. And that was hurting her sometimes. But Eve cannot resist that she had feelings for Matt. He was like a forbidden fruit. And Eve wanted it. A lot.

Anyway it was april and the band was having a hard time. They had a economic problem (that they didn't tell Eve) at the last minute and they couldn't give their demo to the record company.

But for the sake of band's motivation Eve borrowed a camera from her boss and intended to make a little music video with Avenged Sevenfold. She told the idea to the boys. Matt wasn't interested as always, Jimmy laughed and said "Why not?", And finally Zacky said "Let's do this!". But Brian wasn't around.

Later Jimmy told Eve that he wasn't even in the demo album. That's why they postponed to release their demo. "We're in Pinkly Smooth, remember?" Jimmy added.
"Oh yeah!" she said. "Isn't it hard to play for two bands?"
"Nope because he's trying way too hard for Pinkly Smooth and doesn't give a shit about us!" Zacky said. He wasn't serious, of course.
"Pinkly Smooth will be way better because I'm the vocalist and I'm way better than the Matty-poo over here!" Jimmy said with a laugh.
Matt gave a "shut the fuck up" stare at both of them. He was too serious, as always. Eve rolled her eyes at Matt and turned to Jimmy "So are we recording the video?"
"Hell yeah!"

"Forgotten Faces- Skate scene attempt onee!" Eve shouted at boys whom were 10 meters away from her. All three of them were sitting on their skates and trying to move in that position. They couldn't understand that thing in the first time and they were confused but later, they turned that to a competition and started laughing. Jimmy was winning, obviously. With his willing and long legs. Zacky was right behind him but Matt was way back.
They were on a slope so Zacky lost his control and bumped Jimmy. Then Matt changed his rotation and hit Zacky. Eventually, three of them fell from their skates and started rolling together. They were laughing so hard that they were about to choke. Eve lost herself into laughter too. They stopped at one point. They laid on the ground and didn't move. They were laughing like crazy, there were little scars on their bodies. Eve ran near them.
"Oh god that was awful, are you guys okay?"
"We're good!" Matt said and they giggled again.
"Why are you going to do this video?" Zacky said.
Eve was still recording. "I don't know."
"What is the point of this scene?" Jimmy asked.
"I don't know that either."
"Do you even know this song?" Matt asked with his annoying serious voice. Once Jimmy told that he was only serious around Eve. But that was a secret.
"No, I don't but now I have the most pointless video in the world. Perhaps, if you guys will be famous and I would love to share this video."
"How's that possible again?" Matt said while he was trying to stand up "Don't say things like that."
"Like what?"
"Like 'Oh you're going to be famous someday!' You always say that. I'm sick of it! You don't even know us! You're here because Jimmy is too kind for you. We're not making our music to be famous or shit!"
"But.."
"But... What?" said Matt loudly "I didn't ask for this. I've never wanted you around. You're irritating me for years." He stopped for a moment to catch his breath. "And you guys..." he continued "Are you done with her, because I'm fucking bored."
"Damn... Matt I know you don't like me but you don't have to ruin this moment."
"Yeah man, she was just being kind." Jimmy said.
"Whatever. We're wasting our time anyways. I'm out." and he slowly left that street.
"Fuck, what was that?" Eve said with a fake smile on her tiny face. That was heartbreaking.
"Don't mind him." Zacky said "He's just angry about Brian or something." He wrapped his arm around Eve's shoulders.
"Yeah I know."

They met at the Eve and Aaron's place to watch Eve's edit. There were beer and cheap, tasteless donuts. They were sitting on the couch in front of the little TV. Eve was about to put the tape on the VR but the bell rang. She rolled her eyes, the video was so good that she couldn't wait to show it. But who was that?
She opened the door in a hurry. When she saw Matt, she couldn't believe her eyes.
"Hey!" Matt said with a shy smile.
"Hey Matt I thought you didn't like me. What are you doing here?"
"I'm umm.." Aaron showed up behing Eve.
"Here is the asshole of the day!" Aaron said with an ironic tone.
"I'm here to say sorry. Will you let me?"
"Oh yeah, you'd better be sorry you jerk. We are friends for like five years and you shouted my sister like a little bitch!"
"It's not that important Harun, can you leave us alone?" Eve said with an half smile.
"Okay, if you say it's okay..."
"It's okay brother."
"Well then. But I warn you Mr. Sanders, if you make my sister sad again I'll shit in your mouth." he said and left. Matt gave Eve a confused look.
"Not literally of course." said Eve, rolling her eyes. Then she saw Matt smiling, she made him smile! "So..."
"Yeah, I'm really sorry about this morning. You know, as band, we have some problems and there are somethings with my parents, my alcohol addiction. You don't even know about Val..."
"Woah stop there big boy. I'm not your therapist. It's okay I forgive you."
"Thanks I guess..." he was trying to look inside over Eve's shoulder. "Hey I know I was little rude today but may I.."
"Of course come on in!" Eve said with full of her hospitality. She was still upset about Matt but she was Turkish. It was in her blood. Turkish people cannot act badly to their friends, no matter what.
While coming inside Matt wrapped his left arm onto Eve's shoulder. She looked at his face and smiled "I assume you and Val have a new attitude on me."
"Yeah, it was a boring, bitching, endless fight." He smirked.
"Eve look, I'm so sorry..."
"No it's okay."
"Are you sure?" he stopped walking.
"I'm positive. Hey, how many years we've known each other? Five? I can't be mad at you."
"Okay." then they entered the little living room.
The room was simple and cheap. It had a big grey overly uncomfortable sofa, a little TV on the ground, two chairs, one little table and a little kitchen.
Zacky and Jimmy were sitting on the ground with bottles of beers. They were chatting about something. Aaron was on the left side of the sofa, enjoying his beer.
"So are we watching this or what?" Jimmy said "Oh hey Matt. Are you still angry, want to puke your anger on Eve? Since you like it very much."
"Yeah man what the fuck was that?" Zacky added him.
"Look guys, it's okay by me. Stop being protective. I can defend myself. I'm the oldest one in this room."
"With ninety seconds." Aaron said like a little boy.
"Anyway, I worked my ass off for this edit and I want to watch it okay?" she put the tape to the VR. Then sat on the sofa with Matt. Everybody in the room started to watch the video attentively.
First, there was a black text on a bloody background saying "Forgotten Faces" music started and little Jimmy and Matt appeared in the screen. They were fourteen on that video. They were arguing about something in a childish excitement. Pantera's logo was painted in Jimmy's forehead and Slayer's logo on Matt's.
"Damn, how did you find this video?" Jimmy said.
"Your mom gave me."
Then Zacky, Brian, Matt and Jimmy appeared on the screen. It was from a party last November. They were happy and high.
There were lots of videos on that edit. The video was about seven minutes and everybody except Matt lost their shit at some point. Matt sat in silence. At the end of the video, Eve realized that Matt was playing with her hair.
