Dead Memories Of Eve

Eve and Aaron

OK. First of all I'm not a native speaker. English is my 2nd language and I'm trying to improve it. So feel free to correct my grammar mistakes.
Fifty two days.
There have been fifty two days since their mother passed away. That was the end of their mourn. But twins were still so devastaded.
Eve was a short, unhealthy girl with dark hair and eyes. There was a Quran in her hands and a black coverage on her head. She was crying but she slowly stopped.
Aaron was a big boy with lots of dream in his head. He has dark hair and eyes just like his sister. He was reading Quran, too. Neither of them were muslim but their mother were. That's why they were praying.
Their mom, Latife, was buried next to her husband who died two years ago. She wanted to be buried like this. She didn't want to be alone in her "spiritual jouney" or something.
Latife was 37 when she died. She died from cancer but his husband died from suicide.
They had a sad story, like every other Turkish person has. They once had everything and they lost all of them. Latife's husband, Numan was an investor at Turkey who stealed lots of money from government. Then he escaped USA with his wife. Three years later they had Eve and Aaron. They had perfect 10 years in luxury and perfection. Eve, Aaron and Latife had no idea where that money came from. Also, they didn't care.
Then something terrible happened.
The government of their state arrested Numan from defraudition. They could not extradite him to Turkey because he no longer was a Turkish citizen. Government took all the money and put Numan in jail.
Following eight years; Latife, Aaron and Eve tried to survive without their money. Latife started to work at a factory with a low salary. She was uneducated, she couldn't find any jobs with quality.
Aaron and Eve started to work really young. They were 12. Eve was a waitress and Aaron was a employee at a Turkish hardware. It was illegal but their bosses didn't care.
At 1996, Their father Numan killed himself with a rusty razor in the jail. He was raped and nobody was sure if it was a suicide or murder.
It was sad to Latife but twins couldn't feel anything.
One year later, Latife passed out at work and she had to go to the hospital. Her tests were terrible. She was in the last stage of cancer.
But she survived for five months just to plan her children's lives. She did a payment plan, she told who to trust and what to do. She asked for their prayers then died like an angel.
Fifty two days since her last breath. Twins held hands in front of the gravestone.
"Latife Carter
1962-1998
Pray for her soul"
Her life was in three lines. Heartbreaking.
Eve couldn't help crying. But Aaron knew crying couldn't help. He hugged his sister.
"Stop it. We have to go."
"Where are we going brother, moving on with our useless lives?"
"Mom wouldn't want you to cry all day long. You're hurting her soul. Just pray and go."
"I thought you don't believe this stuff."
"I don't know what to believe right now, Havva."
They were using their names in Turkish versions. Havva for Eve and Harun for Aaron. They were about to forget Turkish but their names in Turkish were pretty cool.
Eve grabbed a little rock from her mother's grave. She kissed it and put in her pocket.
"Now, shall we go sis?"
"How can you be so unflappable about this?"
"I thing I got this from my mother. She was cold blooded too wasn't she?"
"I don't know man. I miss her smile."
"Her laugh..." Aaron said.
"And her tears..." Eve completed "I'll always remember her voice. I'll always regret every time I upset her."
"Stop... Seriously! She forgave you!"
"In her deathbed!" She said with tears.
"She's in peace now Havva, let her go. Her life was miserable. And it wasn't your fault."
"I hope you are right. I hope she is in peace."
"There's nothing wrong with thinking optimistic sis. Now, let's go home."
And they slowly left the cemetery.
