Dont Pray For Me

RAE POV

Matt and I decided to go to the beach early in the morning, so when we got there we parked and walked down the sandy path that led to the water. He grabbed my hand as we walked and I couldnt help but smile at him. When we reached the pier I sat down in the shade and watched the waves crash out on the horizon. Matt sat down behind me, with me in between his legs, I leaned back against his chest and immediately melted into him.

"Is this what you really want out of life?" he asked me.

I looked at him a little confused, I didnt know how to respond to him. "What do you mean" I asked still looking into his beautiful hazel eyes, when he brought up the whole assassin thing.

"Oh, that" I said looking down to the sand, he took my hand in his and rubbed it with his thumb.

"Sometimes its not what I want but its what I am good at, and most of the people are evil, deadly people anyways. It balances out in my head" I said as I began to draw circles in the sand. "Plus I need to make sure Phoenix is safe and alive, and I cant do that if im not with her".

"You know you cant do it forever right?" he asked. Well no shit, I thought to myself.

"Its just until someone can finally kill me, I want to be with my family, who are all dead. I dont want to leave Phoenix here alone but everything is growing cold around me" I mumbled.

"One day this will all be over, no more hiding, no more fighting or killing, then you will be free. You dont need to wait for death to find you, trust me" he said and with that I turned to where I could look straight at him. He grabbed me and pulled me close, smashing his lips to mine. I tried to concentrate on his words but my mind was jumbled together at this point.

My heart began to beat out of my chest as I kissed him deeper and pushed us over to where he was laying down with me on top of him. I ran my fingers through his hair and over his strong arms. I was in a little piece of heaven under this pier, with him, like this. I feel like he is what I was missing in my life and I knew that I had to follow this feeling, even if it didnt work out between us.

I got up off him and pulled my clothes off to reveal my bathing suit. "How about some water big guy?" I asked as he stood up and took his shirt off. I turned around and began to walk away when he grabbed my arms and stopped me. "What?" I asked.

He began to trace his fingers across my shoulders and my back, "I didnt know had a deathbat tattoo" he said. "You like our music?" he asked as he got the biggest smile on his face that matched his eyes that were lit up.

I laughed at him, "Well you guys are ok, I guess" I said as I ran away from him towards the water. Once I was deep enough I dove under the water and came back up to see Matt in front of me. We laughed and splashed each other with the water, it was perfect weather for swimming. He took me in his arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist as I put my arms on his shoulders. This moment was perfect, absolute bliss. I let my hand caress his face, these butterflies in my stomach woulnt go away for the life of me, so I made them 100 times stronger by gently kissing his lips.

I pulled back and looked into his eyes as he held me against the current in the water, "Matt do you know how much fun I have been having with you?" I asked him, receiving a smartass remark. "Nope, and you should tell me every time I do something you like" he said as he raised an eyebrow at me. "Well in that case, those lips always make things fun for me" I said, tucking my bottom lip in between my teeth waiting for a response.

I got my kiss and after a while we started to get hungry so we got out of the water and grabbed our stuff from the spot under the pier where we left everything.

Matts phone began to ring on the walk back to our bikes, I let go of his hand and put my clothes back on over my bathing suit and pulled my bag around my neck before I jumped on my bike. Matt looked up at me with wide eyes and hung up immediately. "We need to get back to the house right now!" he said and I knew something was wrong. I pulled my helmet on and started my bike following Matt back towards the house.

Matt typed in the passcode for the gate and we came up to the house. We ran inside and threw the helmets on the couch as we passed it, going straight to the basement. I looked around the group and seen Vengeance and Nix bloody and cut up. I pushed passed everyone and seen Ronny slumped over tied to a chair. "Fucking bastard, i've always hated him anyways" I laughed over to Nix relieving everyones anxiety as I kicked Rons body just for the hell of it.

Vengeance filled us in on what happened and then we got to work, we got the slug out of his skull and dragged his body to the furnace in the corner so we could burn the body, I guess thats the good part of being out in the middle of no where, no one would see any of the smoke.

Once there was nothing but ashes and bones left we collected the bones and decided to do the usual, throw them in the wood chipper. The guys went out to the shed and pulled the machine out and we got rid of all the evidence before going back in to clean everything with bleach.

PHOENIX POV

I put my headphones in and then pulled my helmet over my head flipping the visor down, I threw on my leather jacket and gloves before I started my bike up and waited for everyone to get ready to go as well. We decided to go down the freeway and I popped my bike up in the air and rode on one wheel before I looked over to see Rae doing the same, so I flipped her off with my left hand and lowered the bike back to the road.

I swerved in and out of traffic, speeding up and then slowing down to let the guys catch up.

Once we got to the casino I hopped off and strapped my helmet to my bag as I walked towards the group. We walked in and rented a room in the hotel that was attached so we can leave all our stuff there while we gambled and drank. I booked this penthouse room every time im on a mission, its the biggest one and had so many beds and couches that you could never run out of places to sleep. I ran to one of the king sized beds and flopped down on it looking over at the bucket of ice with champagne in it. I grabbed the note and read it.

"Glad to see you guys are back- Larry"

He always loved our business. I popped the cork off and drank a little bit, handing it to my sister as I pulled Zack down onto the bed with me and snuggled into him. He tilted my chin up and kissed me, so I rolled over onto his lap and straddled him before leaning back down to kiss him.

Rae laughed again and I sat up and tilted my head back opening my mouth as the champagne poured into my mouth. I gulped the liquid down and went back to what I was doing before.

My sister and I are so close that I didnt have to worry about what she thought while I was on top of him, its not like shes never walked in on me while I was going to poundtown anyways.

I heard laughter as I was pulled completely off of Zack by Matt. "I dont think so woman, if I dont get privacy yet neither do you two!" he said as I held onto Zacks hand with a death grip.

"Put me down!" "Im not finished yet!" I said in between laughs as Zack tried to pull me out of Matts arms.
