Intro
Jacoby’s POV
I sit in the now empty hospital room staring at her lifeless body and listening to the light beeping of the machines. I remember when this room used to be always filled with tons of people whether they were from a band that we are friends with, or our bands just checking up on her, but that was almost a year ago when everything happened. Now, I am the only one who still comes almost every day to just sit and talk to her, even though I know that she will never pull through. We don’t have the heart to pull the plug so every month we get the bill for her life support, and every month we get her regular hospital bill, the one that is just for her staying there. So far its already reached over $45,000 for both this year. Its getting harder to pay for it even with the two bands putting in as much as they can, but we have expenses too.
Matt’s POV
We go on tour in three months with Papa Roach and each day I get more and more anxious. Jacoby thinks we have all forgotten Bree, but the truth is that we just can’t handle seeing her in that condition anymore. We still visit once and a while but with the tour coming up we really need to focus and get everything ready. Tracks still need to be finalized, we need to get all new equipment and all new guitar strings and a new drum kit for Jimmy as well as new microphones. It all costs a lot of money and Bree’s life support is costing so much. As much as I hate to say it we will have to pull the plug, but I can’t do it with out everyone’s consent first. I’m not that heartless that I would go and do it without anyone knowing.
Besides that a lot of things have gone on in the year since Bree fell into that coma. Zacky got married to his girlfriend of three years Amy. Brian and Michele broke up and he started going out with this really nice girl Jacee, and they are now engaged. Jimmy and Gena got married and Johnny and Leanna are also engaged as well, and as for me well I married Val and she is now in her 6th month in carrying my twin boys. Life is good, almost good enough to forget everything that happened to Bree.
Almost
The thing is that Jacoby and I have been having these nightmares almost every night. They consist of the same events over and over again. First we find her bloody body lying motionless on the floor in that skanky hotel room. Then I watch as Coby faints and becomes useless, but then the story twists and now I see what Bree has gone through. It almost feels like I feel the same pain that she has gone through. I always wake up sweating and panting like an over heated dog.
As much as everyone in Papa Roach and A7X would like to say its ok, every one knows that everyone is BrokeN’ In Cyde
