You will forever be my always

Avery’s POV

“What the hell is going on?” Brian raged, pacing our beautiful hotel room as I sat nervously twisting my hands together in my lap on the bed. “If there is an emergency, why are we sitting around in a fucking hotel room?!”

“I don’t know babe, but I’m nervous,” I admitted, looking up at him with a frown. “Something is going on… and you know how I feel about surprises.” I swallowed thickly, feeling my anxiety rising. I had no idea why were at the Bellagio hotel right now or even where my best friend was. She wasn’t answering my text messages and I really hoped she was okay. “I just wished Maya would answer me.”

“Don’t feel bad, Shads and Vee aren’t answering either,” Brian groaned, throwing his phone onto the bed next to me before flopping down. “They are all up to something and I swear it better be good. We were finally just getting to enjoy our honeymoon.” Brian’s hands moved around my waist and pulled me into a laying position next to him. “It’s not fair that we keep being interrupted when all I want to do is…” He placed a trail of kisses on the exposed skin on my stomach. “be alone…” he bit down and I let out a light moan, his touch igniting every nerve ending. “with my wife…”

“I know, babe,” I sighed, my fingers tangling in his hair as he continued his trail of bites and kisses over my body, stopping just at the waistline of my shorts. He was always such a tease. “But once we figure this out… mmm… we can go straight back to our paradise. I just hope everything is alright.”

“I can make everything, alright…” he growled, unbuttoning my shorts with his teeth. It always amazed me how fast he could change from angry to horny in a blink of an eye, or really any emotion to horny for that matter. “All I need you to do is close your eyes and tell me what you want,” he teased before pulling at my blue lace panties with his teeth. Just he feeling of his warm breath in my lower region was making me wet.

I swallowed thickly and closed my eyes, taking in a shaky breath. “But didn’t Jimmy tell us to be ready soon?” I asked, feeling him rub through my panties with his nose. Damn that felt good.

“They’ve interrupted us enough for one day… they can wait now since they threw us in a room. I cant keep away from you much—”

“HONEY! I’M HOME!” Jimmy’s voice interrupted as he beat on the door like a wild man, interrupting Brian. He groaned and put his face on my stomach.

“Fuck!” he hissed and I just patted his head. For whatever reason that called us back, I knew it had to be important. I just hoped that Brian and I would finally get some alone time after everything was said and done. “What the fuck is going on, Jimmy?” Brian asked, flinging the door open after making sure I was decent again.

“You’re wearing that?” he asked and I couldn’t help but cover my smile with my hand. “Suite yourself, I’m sure the guys have an outfit picked out for your anyway.” He shrugged and I swear Brian would have hit him if he wasn’t his best friend. “But it’s almost time! We have to go!”

“Almost time for what?” Brian and I asked at the same time, which only made Jimmy giggle.

“You will see, but come on Brian, we’ve got somewhere to be!” he said, grabbing my husbands arm and pulling him toward the door.

“Wait a minute! What about Ave? I’m not going anywhere until you start talking!” he barked and I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest. I didn’t like this at all. Something was going on that they were all obviously trying to keep away from us.

“I thought you’d say that, so I brought back up,” Jimmy replied and then whistled. Johnny came walking into the room and I raised a brow. “Now we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. The only thing I can promise is that everything will become clear soon… and that Jess will be down for Ave any minute. She has places to be too.”

“Fuck no! You better start talking, Rev!” Brian argued, at which point Jimmy shrugged and pulled him into a headlock. Brian struggled but Johnny just picked up his feet and carried him out into the hallway, leaving me gapping after them. What the hell was going on?!

“I see he chose the hard way?” Jess’ giggle sounded the opposite direction down the hall. “I figured he would.”

“Jess what is going on? What is the big secret that brought us home from our honeymoon?” I asked, feeling my frustration starting to rise now. I needed answers!

Jess just smiled and pulled me into a hug. “I would tell you but Maya would never forgive me. She wants to tell you herself.”

“Maya’s here?” I asked, my heart swelling with delight. Oh thank goodness she was okay! I was really starting to get worried about her.

“Of course she’s here! This is about her after all,” Jess laughed and my eyes snapped to her. So the emergency was about Maya? Not Matt? “But we need to hurry, we don’t have much time!”

Jess took my arm and pulled me down the elaborately decorated hallway to the room at the very end of the hall. “Is she okay?”

“She is more than okay, which I’m sure she will tell you,” Jess answered, opening the door and gesturing me inside. I looked back at my red-headed friend and cautiously walked through the suite. Most the lights were off accept for the one, which appeared to be coming form the master bathroom. “Go ahead. She’s waiting for you.”

“M? M? Are you here?” I called, cautiously moving ahead. As I turned the corner into the bathroom, my jaw dropped at the sight in front of me. There was my best friend dressed in the white wedding gown I had designed for her. She had her hair curled and half pulled up out of her face with her makeup done perfectly. She looked like one of those brides in the wedding catalog. “Oh… my… god…. Maya,” I breathed, tears filling my eyes.

“Surprise,” she said, opening her arms with a smile before I rushed her, hugging her tight.

“How? What? Where? When?” I gushed, pulling her back and looking her up and down again. “How did you even find the dress?!”

Maya laughed and kissed my cheek, before pulling me back in for a hug. “I guess I have you to thank for all this,” she smiled. Maya looked the happiest I had ever seen her. “Your little electrician set up lead to my grand proposal… and he said yes!” Maya gushed and I let out a squeal of excitement. “And we decided that we didn’t want to wait anymore, so we are getting married! I’m sorry I ruined your honeymoon but I couldn’t get married without you.”

I whisked away the tears in my eyes and waved her off, not even the slightest bit upset. “You look so beautiful and I am so happy for you!” I cried. “I knew you two were meant to be together. I’m just glad that you figured it out!”

“I know, we are a bit slow,” Maya laughed, pulling me in for another hug. “But we don’t have a lot of time. I’ve got a dress in the closet for you and Jess will do your hair.”

“Wait, now?” I asked, as she pushed me toward the closet.

“Yes now! We are getting married in forty-five minutes!”

Matt’s POV

“Is Gates here yet?” I asked, anxiously pacing the hotel suite. My heart was thundering in my chest as I walked from the door to the window that had a view of the Vegas strip.

I swallowed thickly and ran my hands over my dress pants, trying to get my palms to stop sweating. Why was I so nervous? I was about to marry the love of my life and start the rest of our lives together. It was the one thing that I had wanted for years now. I always knew that Maya was the one and I couldn’t wait until she wore my name, but did she still feel the same way? What if she was having second thoughts right now? What if she realized that this was all going too fast? Would she leave me at the alter? My heart throbbed painfully in my chest at the thought.

“Yeah, Jimmy just texted and said he will bring him up in a few minutes, so will you relax?” Zack said, lazily watching me as he lounged in the leather reclining chair. “What are you so worried about? You’re getting fucking married! It’s what you wanted, right?”

I groaned and ran my hands over my face, knowing that I was getting in my own head. Maya would show up. I mean, she couldn’t possibly abandon me after the amazing night and morning we spent together. It was everything that my original proposal should have been and more: a romantic dinner, dancing at the Bellagio fountain, a little gambling, and holy fuck the mind blowing sex. Hell, just thinking about the way Maya screamed my name, her nails leaving marks in back as she climaxed, made me hard. She wouldn’t turn away and run after all that, would she?

“Yes… but –But what if she changed her mind?” I muttered, looking up to meet Zack’s amused look.

“You really think after all this time she’s still going to run away from you?” He chuckled. “This was her idea!”

“I know,” I sighed, sitting down on the couch and putting my head in my hands. Zack was right – was always fucking right. And as annoying as it was, at this moment I was thankful to have him here to talk me off the ledge. Why was I even considering this possibility right now? Maya was all I ever wanted and needed and now we were finally going to make it official. In about an hour, she would be Mrs. Maya Sanders and nothing ever sounded so good.

“Then stop worrying and figure out what you’re going to say in your vows,” and there was that smirk again. What was he, channeling his inner Gates today?

“See that’s the easy part for me,” I shrugged and leaned back on the couch, my arms behind my head. I was finally starting to relax. “I’m the wordsmith remember?” It was true, I could come up with lyrics and words about Maya easier than I could write a song, which I would have done if there were more time. I knew Maya loved to hear me sing and maybe I would give her a private concert later, if you know what I mean.

“Fuck you and your gift of –”

“I don’t want to wait anymore! You fuckers better start talking!” Brian’s voice suddenly interrupted as the suite door burst open. “What was the big emergency that I had to come home from my honeymoon?”

Zack and I both chuckled as we turned to see a very pissed off looking Gates and a giggling Jimmy and Johnny behind him. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on me dressed in my black suite and tie. “What the fuck, Rev? You told me Shads was in the fucking hospital! Someone better start talking!” he raged and I couldn’t help but laugh. He always had quite the temper when things didn’t go his way. “And why are you all dressed up?!”

“Sorry to pull you away from your honeymoon, Gates,” I started, patting his shoulder. “But Maya and I thought you and Ave would probably like to be at our wedding.”

“Wedding? What the fuck are you talking about?” Gates gapped, opening and closing his mouth like a fish out of water. “Since when?”

“Since yesterday,” I chuckled again. “We made up and decided we didn’t want to wait anymore. We are getting married in about a half and hour and I couldn’t do it without my best man. What do you say, Gates? Will you be my best man?”

Brian shook his head as a smirk spread over his face. “Of course I’ll be your fucking best man, Matt,” he pulled me into a hug and patted my back a few times. “Shit… I’m just – congrats, man! I’m happy for you guys and glad that you both finally pulled your head out of your ass.”

“The gang is back together!!” Jimmy shrieked, tackling us in a hug. “Band hug! Band hug!” he cried before I felt the force of two more bodies join us and we all fell to the floor. Leave it to Jimmy to turn every situation in a big fucking dog pile. “I fucking love you guys! I’m so happy everyone is back together and I have two new sisters!!!”

“Love you guys too, and thanks for coming on such short notice,” I laughed, pushing Jimmy off me as I stood up, brushing off my suite.

“We would miss it for the world,” Zack replied, earning a nod and a few ‘here, here!’

“This calls for a toast!” Gates said, pulling out the whiskey and five glasses. “To Shads and Maya and their happily ever after!”

“Cheers!” we all said before clicking glasses and downing our shots. The burn on the whiskey never tasted so good, and this time I could actually enjoy it. For the first time in months, everything was turning out just the way I wanted. I had my girl and my best friends and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I was the happiest motherfucker on the face of the earth.

“Shit, what time is it?” I asked after a few minutes of laughing and talking with my friends. I picked up my phone to see that we were due in the chapel downstairs in fifteen minutes for the ceremony. “Fuck! We need to get Gates dressed in his suite and get downstairs before we miss our slot!”

The room erupted in mass chaos as we each moved in our separate directions to get ready for the ceremony. With each step I took, my heart thundered in my chest with anticipation. In a matter of minutes I was standing at the front of the chapel surrounded by my four best men, and I couldn’t wait to see my bride walk down the aisle. A small part of me felt guilty that we didn’t have time for Maya to go pick out a wedding dress, but to me it didn’t matter what she wore. She looked beautiful no matter what.

“Don’t forget to breathe, Sanders,” Gates whispered, patting my shoulder just before the music started to play. I had picked out Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” which seemed to fit our situation perfectly. She was the one that I would always come back to.

My eyes snapped up to the door, and I ran my sweaty palms over my pants for the millionth time today. I couldn’t wait to Maya and finally make her mine once and for all.

The door in the back of the chapel opened and I watched as Jess started her procession down the aisle, followed by Avery. When her blue eyes met mine she smiled and blew me a kiss. She would always be like a little sister to me and I couldn’t imagine a better friend for my soon to be wife. I just hoped she wasn’t too upset that I pulled her away from her honeymoon.

Just then, I looked back toward the door to see Maya come in with Larry leading her down the aisle. As soon as her dark eyes met mine, my heart stopped in my chest. She looked so unbelievably beautiful that I couldn’t take my eyes off her. Maya’s long dark hair was curled and half pulled up, while she had on just the right amount of makeup. She was dressed in a long flowing wedding dress that hugged her in just the right places. It was like the dress was specifically made to fit her body and make me drool. From the low cut neckline that accentuated her cleavage, to the slit up the front that showed off her tattooed legs. I could just imagine how good her ass looked from the back, and I would definitely have to explore that later.

“Damn…” I muttered under my breath as I tried to gain control of myself again. Just seeing her like that was doing things to my body that I couldn’t control. I fucking loved her more than life itself and I couldn’t wait to show her just that later.

“Bout time you two came to your senses,” Larry whispered to me as he passed Maya into my arms. I quickly pulled her in and placed a kiss on her cheek, taking in her intoxicating perfume. Damn she smelled good. “But just remember, Sanders, you better take care of my little girl, or promise you will regret it.” He looked at me and then over at my shoulder at Gates, who I heard swallow thickly.

“I promise to take good care of her, Sir. I wont let her go again,” I promised as Maya giggled and rolled her eyes at Mr. Jacobson. He leaned in and kissed her cheek, smiling down at her like a proud father. It was nice to see him treat both Maya and Avery the same way on their wedding days. There was no denying how much he loved those girls.

“You look stunning, love,” I whispered in Maya’s ear just before the officiant started to talk. The whole time he went through his spiel, I couldn’t stop looking at he beautiful woman in my arms. I was still in shock that we were actually getting married, let alone going to finally be together forever. Maya was mine and mine alone and I couldn’t wait to start our forever together.

“Now Mr. Sanders will share his vows,” the officiant said, pulling me from my fantasies of my soon to be wife.

“My love, do you remember the very first day that we met?” I stared, looking down and getting lost in her beautiful brown eyes. “That very first going away party at Gate’s house all those years ago? Or the moment when we first kissed out behind the venue in the wardrobe? I knew from the very first moment I saw you and kissed you, we were meant to be together, forever. I knew that you’re the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with,” I continued feeling a lump rise in my throat when her eyes welled with tears. Come on, Sanders, hold yourself together. “Our relationship was unique, and definitely not without it’s struggles. But I considered those days as the best moments of my life. I fought for you and I will continue to fight for you everyday for the rest of my life. Maya, you are my lover, my companion, and my best friend, for eternity, and you will forever be my always.”

As I finished Maya whipped away a tear form her eye and I couldn’t help but smile. She was so fucking beautiful and was my one and only. Gently leaned down and kissed the tip of her nose, causing her to laugh away the rest of her tears.

“Matt,” she started, her voice shaking slightly. “Because of you I laugh, I smile, and dare to dream more than I have ever thought possible. You are my best friend, my love, and my soul mate, and you have helped me become the person I have always wanted to be. Because of you I am stronger, more passionate, and loving. You are my everything, Matt and I cant wait to spend forever with you,” Maya finished and my heart sored in my chest. Damn I loved her more than she would ever know.

“Now for the rings, please,” the officiant continued, receiving the rings from Gates. He smiled at me and sent a wink in my direction. I just couldn’t wipe the smile of my face. I was the happiest and luckiest motherfucker on the face of the earth right now. How I ended up being so lucky and with a woman like Maya by my side, I would never know, but I would forever be eternally grateful.

“Matt repeat after me,” the officiant placed the ring in my hand and I took a deep breath. I we were so close now. “With this ring,”

“With this ring,” I smiled.

“I thee wed, forever and always.”

“I the wed, forever and always.” I carefully slid the ring up Maya’s slender fingers, a smile shining brightly on her face. As soon as the ring was on her finger, I pulled her hand to my lips, sealing them with a kiss. I couldn’t keep away from her much longer.

“Now Maya, repeat after me,” he continued. “With this ring, I thee wed, forever and always.”

“With this ring, I thee wed, forever and always,” Maya vowed, putting the ring on my fingers. This was it! The moment we had been waiting for!

“By the power invested in me by the state of Nevada, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride!” he said, but I pressed my lips to Maya’s before he could even finish his sentence.

I pressed my lips to hers and kissed her with such passion that she would surely feel it all the way to her toes. The kiss made my heart flutter and brought me to the verge of tears, making me realize exactly how much I loved this girl. She was mine and mine alone and I would never let her go again. She was forever my always.
