Matt’s POV

“Oh hey… so you had your party last night… had fun, right?”

I sighed and turned around to see Trevor following behind Gates and I. What the hell did this guy want? We didn’t have time for his bullshit when we only had a few minutes before our next meeting.

“Yeah sure,” Gates replied, rolling his eyes as we kept walking. Hopefully Trevor would take the hint that we didn’t have time to stop and chat.

“I mean… man those girls, they come up with ideas… did you know about the plan or was it a surprise act?” Trevor continued and I clenched my fists. I was pretty sure that Gates and I had made it clear that the topic of last night was off the table at breakfast. Was he really that daft to think we would let our girlfriends do something that fucking stupid? I just hoped that nothing had gotten out to the press last night.

“Hell, of course we didn’t know. Do you really think we would have wanted for everyone to see our girls like that?!” Brian cursed, continuing to walk down the hall. We had just gotten out of one meeting about the remainder of the tour and now we were onto the next.

“No, fuck of course not. Thinking about Ave or my sister dancing for all those guys like that, how do they come up with that… fuck I mean… why would they want so many people to see them like that!” Trevor continued and I rolled my eyes.

“Fucking hell,” I grumbled, running my hands over my face. I swear if one of our guys looked at Maya or Ave the wrong way, I would punch them into next week. How could the girls be so stupid as to put themselves in that situation? Not to mention that I was beyond pissed at Jimmy for bringing it back to everyone’s attention!

“They were afraid something would happen…” I snapped, turning around to face Trevor.

“Like what? You having fun? I mean.. it was a bachelor party, last day in freedom… that’s supposed to happen, right? And you are open for it, they are open, it shouldn’t be a big deal.” Open what? What the fuck was he talking about? Had Maya said something to him that I didn’t know about?

“What do you mean?” I asked, looking between Gates and Trevor with a frown.

“Nothing really, it’s not my business anyway… And since I talked to your roadies and all…” Trevor waved us off but I didn’t like where this was going. First he tells us that the girls are lonely and confiding in our roadies, and now they are all talking it up behind our backs? I didn’t fucking think so!

“Talked about what?” Gates asked as I squeezed my clenched fists.

“Oh just the girls and… yeah the time on tour and how it is to be around them… I mean they are always there for them, when you guys are on stage and all…”

I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest. I didn’t believe for one minute that our roadies, our best friends, would do anything behind our backs. They knew better, and they definitely knew their asses would be beat if they tried. Hell, just look at Gates and Jason! Though it was kind of odd how much Maya had been talking to MB lately…

“Hey, we gotta go… we have a schedule to fulfill, we are behind already,” I said, waving it off. I didn’t know what kind of games Trevor was trying to play right now, but I wasn’t biting. But just as I opened the door to go into our next meeting, Trevor said something that stopped me in my tracks.

“Ah right, that’s what Maya said.”

I froze and slowly turned back around, my eyes narrow. I swear if he was playing more games, I would knock him on his ass and not care that he was my girlfriends brother. No one fucked with Matt Sanders.

“What did Maya say?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

“I mean.. not only Maya… We talked about the time they were in the UK, and how that was and all…” As soon as he started talking about the girls time in the UK I saw red. Fucking hell what did she say? I could feel my heart rate increase and I knew someone was at risk of getting hit if I didn’t get some goddamn answers. “… and I don’t know if she ever told you… ah no, you know.. I shouldn’t be telling you this, it’s not my story to tell.”

“Don’t start something and don’t tell… what is it?” I demanded, stopping Trevor from walking away.

“I’ll tell if you promise that you won’t say a word to Maya, that you got that from me, okay?! And you to Ave, they will not trust me if they know I told you… but maybe it will help… I mean, I want the girls to be happy.”

“So what did they say?” Brian asked and sucked in a deep breath, trying to remain calm. Nothing good ever started with ‘while the girls were in the UK’.

“Maya said, when they were in the UK she really enjoyed, and I’m sorry to say this… the spontaneously acts from her boyfriend there, what’s his name… Benjamin something?” Just hearing that asshole Bruce’s name made me want to punch Trevor square in the face. I balled my fist and clenched my jaw, glaring at him as he continued.

“She said he always came up with ideas, and that she loved how he surprised her with those actions, she misses that… I bet she doesn’t really miss it… she just said it, it’s nothing against you I bet.”

What the fuck did Trevor mean Maya missed Bruce’s surprise actions? I didn’t shit to surprise her all the time, didn’t I? It didn’t make any fucking sense! “She misses spontaneous ideas? What? What does she want me to do? How can she miss that?!” I demanded wanting more information.

Trevor shrugged. “She mentioned it, I didn’t really question it… maybe I’m wrong… or maybe, you should just try it… you know, out of the blue.”

Try stuff out of the blue? What the hell did he mean by that? Like take her out without planning anything? Or pull her into an empty room and fuck her senselessly? We had done that before and of course she liked it, but she didn’t beg for it, not like when I had her alone in our room together…

Fuck, I couldn’t just sit here and let her think about the time she had with Bruce. Maya should be thinking about her time with me! We would be engaged in two weeks if I had anything to say about it. I had to make her see that I was better than fucking Bruce in all ways and I could be just as spontaneous as he was.

“Oh here you are, we were planning to go out to lunch all together, you have any preferences?!” Johnny said, leaning out the door and pulling me from my thoughts. My eyes instantly landed on Maya as she threw her head back with a laugh at something MB was saying. Oh fuck no!

“No, I have other plans,” Gates and I said at the same time.

“What other plans?” Johnny asked as Gates pushed past me and headed over to where Ave was sitting with Jason. Well, that didn’t look good. Was Trevor right about the roadies ‘being there’ for the girls? I swear if one of them touched Maya, they wouldn’t see the light of day.

“Maya and I are going out,” I said curtly before pushing past him.

“But Larry will be here within the next hour!” He called and I just waved him off. We learned a long time ago not to keep him waiting, especially when you were planning to marry his daughters, but right now I didn’t care about Larry. All I cared about was keeping that beautifully little brunette happy.

“Hey,” I whispered, walking up behind Maya and pulling her back into me. She gasped when our skin touched but leaned back into me, closing her eyes. “Let’s get out of here… just you and me,” I purred in her ear as Dan and MB continued to tell some story from tour years ago.

“What did you have in mind?” Maya asked, her hands reaching back and over my thighs.

“I saw this nice little shop down town at the Square; we could enjoy the morning together, eat something and talk.” That was spontaneous right? Just taking her somewhere out of the blue? Yeah, she would love it… and so what if I didn’t really see a shop? We were in fucking Vegas and I could take us anywhere. Not spontaneous my ass!

“But what about your show and meetings?” Maya raised a questioning brow at me and just smiled and guided her towards the door. “What’s life if we don’t live on the edge a little?” I replied, kissing her cheek.

“Since when are you Mr. Spontaneous?” Maya giggled as I pulled her towards the elevator and pressed her against the wall. “You are always on a schedule…”

“Not always,” I growled, nibbling her earlobes and pressing my body into hers. “Besides we have some time before Larry gets here.”

A light moan escaped Maya lips as her hands moved up to pull my barely existent hair. “Lucky me… but what about the press.”

“If we move quick they shouldn’t even notice us,” I said, praying that I was right. I didn’t know what I’d do if the press surrounded us out on the streets. Fuck, who was I kidding? I would punch a bastard out if they started taking pictures of M and I, especially after what they did to Gates and Ave.

Within ten minutes, Maya and I had made our way down onto the street and were walking peacefully hand-in-hand. “It feels nice to be out and about like normal again,” Maya admitted, looking up a sun. Damn she looked beautiful. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her.

“Yeah, no fans no press… feels good,” I chuckled. “Just me and my hot girlfriend walking the streets of my favorite city. What could be better?”

Maya smiled and looked up at me with a wicked glint in her eye. “Oh… I don’t know…” she shrugged trying to look innocent. She bit down on her plump bottom lip and ran her hands down my chest and I couldn’t fight the bestial urge that surged through my body. That little movement alone ignited the beast within me and Maya knew exactly what she was doing.

“Don’t start something we can’t finish,” I practically growled, looking down into her gorgeous brown eyes.

“Oh, I think you can finish wherever you’d like, Big Guy,” she teased and I felt my mouth start to water. “We just need to find some place to…”

“There’s a coffee shop… why don’t we get a drink and see if they have a private restroom…” I teased, pinching her tight little ass. Maya let out a cute little squeak before grabbing my hand and pulling me into the coffee shop. “What do you want, babe?” I asked, pulling her ass into my front. I was definitely turned on, but the rest of the world didn’t need to know that, even if this was sin city.

“The usual,” Maya teased, circling her hips and wiggling her eyebrows at me.

“You mean a nice and hard—” I started only to hear a female shriek behind me. Maya and I both turned around to see what was going on and I instantly regretted it.

“OH MY GOD! IT’S M SHADOWS!”

“Fuck,” I cursed, and pinched my eyes shut. “Sorry M…” I whispered looking down at her. This was why I didn’t go out without our bodyguard or making reservations. Maya and I deserved to act like a normal couple and not get spotted everywhere and asked for autographs.

“Go ahead, I’ll get our drinks… then you have some making up to do,” Maya said before pulling away.

“Hey ladies,” I said, forcing a smile on my face. It was always nice to meet fans but sometimes I wished I were a normal person and not a celebrity.

“Oh my gosh, I’m dreaming right?” the girl seriously looked like she was going to faint. “Is that really you, M. Shadows?!”

“It’s me,” I shrugged, taking the girls pen and signing her coffee cup. “Are you ladies coming to the show tonight?” I asked, being polite and making small talk. The only problem was as soon as I signed one cup, I had ten more pushed in my face and a growing crowd. Fuck this wasn’t how this was supposed to go!

I quickly signed a few cups and posed for a few pictures, hoping the line of fans would die down around me. I just hoped Maya wasn’t too upset with me. And speaking of my girlfriend, where the hell did she go?

I turned to my left as I signed another cup only to see that she wasn’t standing by the counter anymore. What the hell? I felt the panic rise in my chest as I frantically looked around the coffee shop, not seeing her anywhere in sight. “Shit… sorry guys. Will you excuse me...” I said, pushing my way out of the shop. I had to find Maya! I would never forgive myself if anything happened to her…

“Oh my god, they were right ! M. Shadows is here!” A girl called, stopping me right in front of the café. “Oh my god! I’m actually meeting you!” A she cried. The woman asked me for a photograph and as soon as I put my arm around her, she pressed herself into me.

“Nice you meet you,” I said and quickly moved away from the group of fans, looking up and down the busy street. “Fuck… where did you go M?” I hadn’t been signing autographs that long had I? I looked down at my watch only to see that we had to leave for the venue in forty-five minutes. Fuck! This plan didn’t work out at all according to plan.

Thankfully in that moment I spotted Maya siting on a bench across the street. My eyes moved directly to the tall dark haired beauty, but she didn’t look like she did when we entered the coffee shop. She had her arms crossed in front of her chest and frown on her face as she looked down on her phone.

I quickly crossed the street and kneeled down in front of her. “Sorry M… I didn’t plan for that to happen. I’m—”

“It’s about time you came out,” Maya said with a frown. “I was about to call Jerry to come pull you out,” she half laughed, referring to our bodyguard.

“I’m sorry… I tired to get out as fast as I could, but they just kept coming.” I admitted, taking her hand and kissing it gently.

“It’s fine… it’s all part of the job,” she shrugged before looking back down at her phone. “But we better head back now… Zack says that Larry is there and they have been looking all over for you and Gates.”

“They can wait,” I insisted, pulling Maya to her feet. “Right now… it’s time for you and—”

“PICK UP YOUR GODDAMN PHONE! ANSWER IT NOW! ANSWER IT NOW! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU IF YOU DON’T ANSWER!” Jimmy’s voice screamed from my phone and I mentally cursed.

“Hello?” I sighed, answering the phone as Maya stepped away from me with a frown.

Well this plan didn’t work out at all according to plan…

Avery’s POV

As soon as the guys left for their meeting with the tour manager, I grabbed my cup of coffee and hightailed it out of the breakfast area. I was beyond mortified after Jimmy’s grand unveiling of our little strip tease last night at the club and I just wanted to curl into a ball and hide. I couldn’t take everyone’s not so secretive whispers and their prying eyes looking up and down over my body. It was like I was a freak in a cage that the guys couldn’t stop looking at. God I knew the whole strip club thing was a bad idea!

What the hell were Maya and I thinking last night going up on stage and disguising ourselves a strippers?! I know it seemed like a good idea the time, but what were we really trying to prove? Deep down we both knew that Matt and Brian loved us and would never do anything to jeopardize our relationships, especially after our last breakups. We vowed to trust each other and be open about everything! Hell, Brian and I were getting married in less than four weeks! He wouldn’t screw around with some other girl at his bachelor party. I felt stupid for even letting that thought enter my head! I didn’t know where that insecurity came from, but it was time to burry it for good.

“Ave, wait up!” Maya called behind me as I made my way into the elevator. “Where are you going?”

“I have to get out of here…” I breathed, feeling my heart race in my chest. I felt more than a little exposed now that Brian had left and I needed to cover myself up. Maybe if I didn’t show any skin, they would all forget about what they saw at the club and go back to normal. That had to work, right? I was still the same old Avery Jacobson they had grown to love, not some floozy!

“What are you talking about? We were supposed to stay with the Berrys while the guys were at their meeting,” Maya asked, grabbing my shoulder as I stopped in front of my room. “You know how bad the press has been.”

“Did you see the way they looked at us?” I whispered, slowly shaking my head as I pulled away and opened the door.

I quickly made my way over to Brian’s suitcase, dug out one of his zip-up hooded sweatshirt, and pulled it over my body. The smell of his cologne immediately filled my nostrils, causing me to relax slightly. I really hoped his meeting would be over soon so that I could feel the comfort of his embrace. Somehow I didn’t feel so self-conscious about the whole stripper-debacle when he was around. It was probably because I knew he’d snap at anyone who looked at me too long.

“Yeah, it was the same way they looked at us last night.” Why wasn’t this a big deal to her? Didn’t she feel the slightest bit self-conscious? Or disturbed by the way our best friends were just eye-fucking us?!

“That was different! They didn’t know it was us then! Now they do… I can’t take the whispering and the looks… you know how I feel about that,” I breathed, grabbing my laptop and cigarettes before heading down the hall to the fourth floor patio. “It was like they wanted to eat us alive… ”

Maya snorted with laughter and I shot a dirty look over my shoulder. I’m glad she thought this was funny! I was mortified and felt exposed and overly vulnerable. All I wanted to do was huddle into a ball and hide away from everyone until Brian was done. “Little Gnome you’re being ridiculous! They were not!”

“Ridiculous?!” I hissed. I quickly pushed outside onto the deserted patio and went straight for the oversized chair with big pillows. I could feel my heart racing a mile a minute in my chest as my anxiety began to raise again. “Maya, our best friends saw us nearly naked! It was different when they thought we were someone else… now it’s all they will think about when they look at us!”

“Ave, will you relax?” Maya sighed as I put a cigarette between my lips. Pulling out my pink lighter I lit up and took in a slow drag. The nicotine seemed to temporarily numb the anxiety I was feeling. “They will all forget about it after tonight. Besides, how is it different then them seeing us in a bikini? We both had bras and panties on,” Maya promised but I didn’t feel so sure. I still wanted to hide away from the world. “Now come on, lets go back inside.”

“I need a few minutes before I go back in, besides I have work to do for the wedding and the shop,” I sighed, taking a long drag and slowly letting out a cloud of smoke.

“Little Gnome,” Maya sighed, giving me a pointed look. “We have a whole bus ride tomorrow to do that. Let’s go back downstairs with the guys and relax.”

I pulled my knees to my chest and took another puff of my cigarette, praying that the nicotine would calm my nerves more. “I want to sit out here for a little bit,” I replied again, looking up at my best friend as I chewed my bottom lip.

Maya frowned and took a step towards me. “Ave please don’t—”

“I’ll be okay,” I interrupted, not wanting to hear her lecture on letting things go. Maya had known me my entire life and she knew how I worked. I just need a minute to calm down and process everything. “Plus I really should write down this design in my head before I forget about it. I’ll be in a few minutes, I promise, M.”

“Suit yourself,” Maya let out a sigh before she turned and headed back inside.

I knew Brain wouldn’t be happy if he knew I was sitting outside by myself, but right now it was a necessary evil. I just needed a moment to sketch and wrap my head around everything. I quickly pulled out my computer and my sketchpad and got to work, trying to distract my wandering mind.

“What are you doing out here by yourself, beautiful?” A voice called about twenty minutes later.

I looked up from my sketchpad through my sunglasses to see Jason walk out onto the patio. He titled his head to the side with a small frown as he looked at my huddled form in the big cushioned patio chair. “I thought you were with my brother and Maya inside.”

“I needed a break,” I admitted, pulling Brian’s sweatshirt closer to my body. It smelled just like his cologne and that in combination with two cigarettes seemed to calm me down.

“A break? It looks like you’re out here working to me,” Jason chuckled, giving me his goofy lopsided grin. Thankfully Jason wasn’t looking at me like a piece of meat. It felt normal and I instantly relaxed. He took a seat in the chair next to me and glanced over at my sketchpad. “Damn, that looks fucking amazing, Ave.”

“It’s not quite right yet,” I mused, wrinkling my nose. I couldn’t get the hemline and curve of the dress the way I wanted it yet. It was close but it had to be perfect, considering that Maya would wear it for her proposal to Matt. I knew she wanted to wear white that night but I couldn’t get over the idea of dark blue or red accents with it. Or maybe even a pale pink…

“What’s going on in that head of yours?” Jason asked, pulling me from my thoughts. I could feel his eyes on me and I blushed lightly.

“Just thinking about this design,” I admitted with a frown. “It has to be perfect… it’s for a special occasion.” I probably said too much, but I was more than a little excited about it. Not to mention that designing helped me to forget about all my problems for a little bit.

“A special occasion? Like you coming to get lunch with me today?” Jason wagged his eyes brows at me and I playfully smacked his arms and rolled my eyes. “What? It would be just like old times? What do you say?”

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw MB and Maya walk out on the patio, followed by Jimmy, Johnny, and Zack. The five of them were laughing and carrying on about something Johnny was saying.

I smiled and shook my head. Jason was always charming and I did miss hanging out with him. I just didn’t know if it was a good idea with all the press still floating around. The last thing we need was for a rumor about Jason and I to get started. “I don’t know, Jay,” I sighed, looking back down at my sketchpad. “I still have a lot of work to do with this…”

“Oh, now I’m hurt,” he mocked, putting his hand over his heart. “But come on, what’s one lunch? I’ll take you anywhere you want.” Jason set his hand on mine as our eyes met over the top of my computer screen.

I bit down on my lip and cocked my head to one side. “What’s the big push to get me to go out for lunch? You miss me that much?” I teased.

“You could say that,” he shrugged with that handsome smile. “But you and I both know you’d rather go out to lunch with me than hang out in your room by yourself while you wait for Gates to get done with those meetings They have three of them lined up before we have to leave for the venue.”

“But what about the press?” I asked. “You heard the security guard in there. He said the press has been swarming since you guys got back last night.”

“We could always eat at the hotel. We could order room service right here to the patio.” Why was Jason pushing this lunch idea so hard? Don’t get me wrong; it wasn’t that I didn’t want to eat with him. Hell, I ate most meals with him and group. I guess I just didn’t understand what the sudden urgency came from.

“It sounds great and all,” I said with a frown as I looked back at my computer. “But I have to see if I can get some of this work done first. I also have to talk to Maya about—”

“Hey, wait a minute,” Jason interrupted, as I closed my laptop. He stared me down with his dark brown eyes as his hand moved back down on mine, causing me to raise a questioning brow at him. “What about an ice cream break? I know you can’t resist rocky road,” he teased as a blush fell over my cheeks again. It was true, if rocky road ice cream was on the table, I couldn’t turn away. That stuff was my biggest downfall.

“Fine, but only if we can get it now,” I giggled. “You’ve planted the seed and now I need to feed the ice cream demon.”

“Okay, okay,” Jason laughed, taking my hand and pulling me to my feet. “I’m pretty sure there was an ice cream stand in the lobby gift shop. If not, room service can get it.”

“Where are you two off to?” I looked away from Jason to see Brian standing in the doorway with narrow eyes. How long had he been standing there and why didn’t I notice sooner.

“Bri!” I practically squeaked, moving away from Jason and wrapping my arms around my fiancé. “Jason and I were just about to go get some ice cream. Do you want to come?” I asked, looking up to see Brian staring down Jason and Trevor standing behind us with an amused look on his face. Did something happen that I missed?

“Nah,” he said, wrapping his arm around me and pulling me into his side. “We’ve got other plans.”

“What plans?” Trevor asked, stepping forward with an unreadable expression. “I thought you had a meeting.”

“Yeah, I didn’t see anything but those three meetings on the schedule,” Jason said, looking confused between Brian and Trevor as Brian’s grip tightened around me. “

“I’ve taken care of it, not that it concerns either of you,” he snapped rudely as he moved me behind him.

“What’s the big rush? We were going to get Rocky Road, babe,” I insisted, looking around him to see both Trevor and Jason looking both confused and irritated at the same time.

Brian quickly spun around and put his hands on my cheeks, forcing me to look into his stunning brown eyes. “I will make sure you get your ice cream but we don’t have time for this,” he said as I got lost in his eyes. God I loved this man. “Now if you’ll excuse me, me and my fiancé have plans,” he said over his shoulder before he pulled me back inside the hotel, leaving Jason, Trevor, and the rest of the gang on the patio.

“Where are we going?” I asked, looking up at him with a frown. What was the hurry? I guess I didn’t understand why we would have gotten ice cream with Jason first. It wasn’t like it was a date or anything; it was just a snack. Didn’t Brian see that?

“I’ve got a surprise for you.” Brian quickly pulled out his phone and began scrolling his finger over the screen like he was looking for something. “But while I get it set up, I want you to go change into something more…comfortable,” he said with a sinister smirk that sent goose bumps down my spine. I loved when he looked at me with that smoldering hot gaze. It made me feel like I was the only girl in the whole world.

“But what about the—” A soft kiss gently pressed against my lips, stopping me from voicing my concerns about the press. Brian’s soft lips and gentle caress made me forget about everything and just melt into his arms. By the time he released my lips, my head was spinning, I couldn’t think straight, and my heart was racing a mile a minute in my chest.

“It’ll be just you and me, love. No one will see us, no one will interrupt,” Brian promised, his face no more than an inch away from mine. He was so close that his intoxicating scent was making it hard to concentrate on anything besides breathing. I couldn’t believe the affects this man still had on me after all this time. “Now hurry and get changed. I’ll be back for you in a few minutes.”

Brian pulled me in for one more kiss and by the time I regained myself, I was staring blankly at the closed door inside our hotel room. My head was still spinning as I made my way over to the suite case and started rifling through my bag to find something to wear.

“Something comfortable?” I scoffed. What did he mean by that and more importantly why was I freaking out about it like it was our first date? Hell, we were getting married in a few weeks and here I was nervous about a surprised date? What was wrong with me? I guess deep down I still wanted to impress him and show him my best, especially after ruining his bachelor party last night. I was still guilty and disgusted with myself over my actions.

Twenty minutes later, I stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom looking at my reflection in the mirror. I looked over my long blonde hair in messy braid with the front pieces curled, accenting my cheekbones. My eyes slowly moved down over my body as I gently pulled down on the salmon colored layered lace crop top to meet the waistline of my low rise partially laced coved denim shorts. The outfit was completed with a pair of tan heels and matching tan hat. I still didn’t know if this was what Brian meant by comfortable, but I hoped he liked what her saw. Hell, I even made sure he could see the little heart tattoo I had gotten on my hip at the beginning of the summer. It was definitely the first in a long line of tattoos!

“Babe?” Brian’s voice sounded from the foyer. “You ready?”

“Coming!” I took a deep breath and slowly stepped out of the bathrooms. This was it; time to see if he liked what he saw.

The moment Brian heard my heels echo on the floor behind him, to turned around and bit down on his bottom lip, his dark eyes scanning over my body. I blushed and ducked my head as he looked at me. “Damn Ave… how is it that you look sinful in everything you wear?” He breathed, pulling me into his embrace. His hot breath tickled my neck before his lips pressed a kiss on my cheek.

“You should speak for yourself,” I rasped out. Brian was wearing one of his black v-neck shirts, dark ripped skinny jeans, and a pair of combat boots. He looked so handsome that I could hardly believe that I was going marry a man that looked like this.

“How did I get so lucky?” He purred in my ear before looking down into my eyes. “Damn Ave…” But what he didn’t know was that I was the lucky one in all this. I was the average girl that fell for a rock star and was lucky enough to have him like me too. He could have had any girl in the whole world but he chose me, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Over the past few years, Brian and the guys had been come my best friends and new family. God, how crazy was it that I actually got to marry my best friend?

Brian’s calloused fingers gently caressed my face before his thumb moved over my bottom lip. “So beautiful,” he continued before letting out a light sigh. My blushed deepened as his fingers grazed down my arm and took my hand in his, guiding me out the door.

“Where are we going?” I asked, feeling my heart flutter in my chest.

“Just down the hall actually,” Brian smiled, watching me out of the corner of his eye. He hadn’t stopped smile since I came out of the bathroom and it made me think back to the day we got engaged. He had acted weird like this, but at least I didn’t think he was going to leave me. No, Brian had something bigger planned.

“We aren’t eloping in Vegas, are we?” I giggled, clinging to his arm. “My dad would flip!”

Brian threw his head back with a laugh but shook his head ‘no’ nonetheless. “No, but the thought did cross my mind. I just thought you and I could have a nice inspiring lunch before we head over to the venue—just the two of us without any distractions.”

“Inspiring?” I questioned with a raised brow. “Inspiring what?” What on earth was he talking about?

“You’ll see,” and there was that cocky little smirk playing on his lips. Though I really only saw that when he was trying to prove one of the other guys wrong. Was this a bet? Nah, it couldn’t be. He was probably just proud of the set up.

Seconds later Brian opened up a large room that was lit with candles. It was breathtakingly beautiful with light reflecting on the crystal chandeliers and décor of the room. “Wow…” I breathed, looking around to see a small table with champagne and food set up, as well as an easel next to an acoustic guitar on a stand. “Wh-what is all this?” I gapped, turning to see his smiling face.

Brian chuckled as he lead me into the room and poured us both a glass of champagne. “You are my muse Ave… You always inspire me and my music, so I wanted to give you something back.” He admitted and I bit down on my bottom lip, my heart thundering a mile a minute. “Today is about you and your art.”

“My-my art?” I stammered, watching in awe as he pulled the easel over in front of me, as well as an array of different art mediums to work with. I was blown away by how much preparation had gone into this little date and my heart fluttered at the thought. How long had he been planning this? “Where-where did you get all this?”

“I called in a few favors,” Brian smiled as he moved over to grab his guitar. He sat on the stool next to mine and I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. “I want you to draw or paint whatever comes to mind. It could be a design a work of art… whatever inspires you.”

“But what—”

“Just let your mind take over…” he concluded, leaving me looking at a blank canvases. Draw what inspires me? I grabbed a pencil and looked back up at the easel but as soon as Brian started to play, all thoughts vanished from my mind.

I watch as Brian’s magical fingers flew up and down the neck of that beautiful guitar. I closed my eyes as the beautiful sound of a new melody filled the room, sending goose bumps over my body. It was original, raw and nothing at all like what he played on stage and I was even more intrigued. Honestly, I had only heard him play like this once before, and that was when he forgot to close the door to the studio when he was practice. God the sound was breathtaking and I couldn’t help but stare in awe and imagine those sexy finger moving against my bare flesh. I couldn’t help but blush with the thought and bite my lip.

As Brian played, his dark eyes watched me, taking in my every motion and reaction. Though towards the end, he closed his eyes and let the music take over, and let me tell you, it was pretty damn powerful to have one of the sexiest men you’ve ever met playing a private concert for you. I definitely was wet when he finished and I could have sworn he licked his bottom lip. Could he tell that he had this kind of effect on me?

“So what did you think?” Brian’s voice was suddenly husky and I had to swallow thickly a few times before I could even concentrate on the question. I decided that nodding furiously would be the best way to go. “So you liked it? Did it inspire your art?”

“My-my what?” I gapped, feeling my heart rate speed up even more as he set down his guitar and walked closer to me.

“Your art,” he chuckled, walking over to look at the canvas. “Let me see what you drew.” The only problem was… the paper was blank.

Notes

So there goes Trevor putting ideas in the guys head again. When will they catch on to figure out he is the root of all their problems? He truly is an evil mastermind, huh?

Mr. Sanders is being spontaneous and gets mobbed by fans, leaving Maya all alone. How will she react?

And what will Brian say when he sees that Avery didn't draw anything? Will there be trouble in paradise there too?
