Wedlocked

Matt's Pov
The next morning I woke up to the sound of a phone ringing. I groaned and lied on my back, before opening my eyes slowly. "It's Johnny!" I heard Johnny say into the phone. "What? No, I didn't forget it. I'm on my way, babe. Love you!" He suddenly got sober and started running around like a chicken. "What's gotten your panties in a twist, Christ?" I asked him. "I was supposed to bring Lacey from her parents' house. I'm late now, all thanks to you fuckers and your late night drinkings!" he snapped.

I looked at the time and it was almost noon. Even I should go to pick Val from her parents' house. "I'm coming with you." I said and got up. "Where are you going?" Johnny asked in confusion. "Last time I checked, I had a wife who's at her parents' house at this moment." I joked and Johnny sighed. "Will you hurry up?" he said impatiently. I fixed my clothes and hair a little bit and grabbed a bottle of water from the kitchen. "Let's go." I said and we left. Brian, Jimmy and Zacky were sleeping like dead. So we didn't bother waking them up.

Johnny dropped me at Michelle's and went to pick Lacey. I rang the bell and Val's mom opened the door. "Hello, Matt. Come inside." she greeted me with a smile. "Morning." I said showing my dimples and went inside. "I assume you're here to pick up Val." she said and I said yes. "She's up probably. Both the girls said they had a 'blast' last night." she said with a chuckle. "I'll check on her." I said with a smile and went upstairs to Val's room. I knocked on the door before peeking my head inside. "May I come in?" I asked Val who was sitting on her bed, reading a magazine. "Matt? Come in." she said and I went inside, closing the door behind me.

"Morning." I said and pecked her lips. "What are you doing here?" she asked as I stroked her hair. "Don't you wanna come home?" I asked with a chuckle. "Oh, right." she said with a smile and gathered some clothes from the closet. She got ready quickly and we went down. "Mom, is Chelle still sleeping?" Val asked her mom. "Yes, Val. You both looked extremely tired last night." her mom said.

"Okay then, we'll get going." Val said but her mom stopped her. "Aren't you gonna say goodbye to your sister?" she asked. "You just said she's sleeping." I said. "Oh, don't worry about that. Just say a little goodbye or she might get upset when she wakes up and doesn't find you." she said to Val. "Oh, okay." Val said and went to Chelle's room. "Why don't you join her, Matt?" her mom said and I followed Val inside. Chelle was sleeping like a baby, all tucked under the blanket. "Chelle, I'm going home." Val said, shaking Chelle's arm. "Huh?" Chelle said groggily and opened her eyes. "Matt's here, I'm going home." Val said and Michelle sat up straight.

"Goodbye, Val. I love you and I'll miss you." Michelle said hugging her. Val giggled and said, "I love you too." Michelle looked at me sleepily and said, "Come here, Matt. Let me tell you goodbye as well." Is she still drunk? Anyways, I let Chelle hug me and I hugged her back. "Goodbye, Matty. I love you too and I'll miss you as well. Look after my Val, okay?" she said and I looked at her. "Sure." I said.

"Get some more sleep, Chelle. I'll come in the evening, okay?" Val said and Chelle nodded her head. Val and I left for home and grabbed some breakfast on the way. "How much did she drink last night?" I asked Val. "All I can say about that is she couldn't walk straight." she answered. "She called Brian last night." I said and Val's eyes lit up. "I know but she didn't let me hear their conversation. What did she say?!" she asked. "She said she's not selfish." I said looking at Val. "Oh..." she muttered. "But Brian seemed quite happy." I informed and Val's mood lightened up again.

The rest of the day we mostly watched movies or whatever show was going on. Jimmy dropped by around 5. "What did you and Chelle do last night? Did you miss me?!" he asked Val. "We went shopping, then we went to the club, got drunk and danced a lot. And no, we didn't miss you." Val said with a smirk. "Meanies." Jimmy mumbled and I roared in laughter.

"Anyways, what did Chelle buy Brian?" Jimmy asked Val again. "That's a surprise." she said. "What! Tell me, please!!" Jimmy cried. "That's a surprise for me as well." Val said with a laugh. "So, we're going to see Chelle now. Do you wanna come with us?" I asked Jimmy. "Fuck yeah." he said calmly.

I drove us to Michelle's and once we were there, Jimmy jumped out of the car and ran towards the house. "Jimmy, slow down! You might get hurt!" Val scolded but Jimmy didn't stop. "You sound like a mom right now." I said to her. "Is that so?" she said amused. "Absolutely." I said putting my arm around her waist. "I'll think about that." she said with a smile lingering on her face.

Valary's Pov
Jimmy rang the doorbell repeatedly until Matt scolded him. "Party pooper." Jimmy mumbled and I stifled a laugh while Matt glared at Jimmy. "Hey, mom." I said as she opened the door and we went inside. "Hello, Mrs. DiBenedetto. Nice to see you again." Jimmy said politely and Matt did the same. "Val...what a lovely surprise." Mom said glancing at us.

"Am I the lovely surprise she's talking of?" Jimmy whispered to Matt, who just gave him another glare.

"Mom, where's Chelle?" I asked with a chuckle. "Chelle's right where she should be." Mom said and I started to go upstairs. "I'll go call her." I said and started to climb the stairs. "She's not home, Val." Mom said. "But I told her I'd be coming to see her." I said. "That's right. But she went out with your dad." Mom said avoiding eye contact. "We'll just wait." Jimmy said with a shrug.

"Could you guys wait here? I have something to give you." Mom said and went upstairs. "She's behaving strange today." Jimmy said with a confused look. "Even I think so." Matt agreed and I looked at them.

Mom came down a minute later with some familiar looking bags and hands them to me. "Chelle asked me to give these to you." she said and I took the bags. "These are the gifts she bought yesterday for the guys." I said and looked inside the bags. "I have no clue what's happening right now." Jimmy says and I look at Mom. "Mom, where is Michelle?" I ask and she hands me an envelope. "She wanted me to give this to you as well." she said and I take the brown envelope from her hand.

I hand the bags to Jimmy and look at Mom again. " Where is she, Mom?" I asked as panic started to rise in me. "She's asking you a question." Matt said looking at Mom. "Open it, Val." Mom said and I opened the envelope, finding a letter inside it. As I started to read, Matt and Jimmy stood behind me so that they could read it as well.

'Dear Val,
while you're reading this letter, I will be sitting on a plane making my way to Paris. Try and understand, Val. I'm doing what I wanna do, I'm just following my dreams. I told you before I cannot stay and start a family, at least not now. I don't think I could've stayed with Brian. Like I said before, things have changed. I just don't feel the same with Brian anymore. I know he loves me but it just isn't working between us anymore.
When I wanted something more from him, he wasn't prepared mentally. Now he wants something more from me but I ain't prepared mentally. Our relationship was kinda unbalanced. I don't hate Brian or any of you. Right now, I just wanna focus on my career not on a relationship. I'm not selfish, I'm doing whatever I think is right for me.
Please don't hate me. Tell goodbye to Brian, Jimmy, Johnny, Zacky and Matt on my behalf. I love you all dearly. Take care.

"Oh fuck, she's gone...." Jimmy whispered as a single teardrop fell on my cheek.
