Where Do We Go From Here ?

Two years can go by pretty fast when your divorced with a daughter I knew the guys were busy tour prepping with Atreyu I didn't want to be a bother to them but I really wanted to meet them so I will be going downtown later this afternoon to get a proper introduction from the guys what am I getting myself into I'm Brian Haner's ex wife I need to clear my mind and go for a walk or something.

Claire was downstairs with her usual bowl of cereal and watching her usual Saturday morning cartoons she seemed preoccupied with her cereal and cartoons I had gotten a text from Brian asking me to help Emma with wedding planning... Great now I needed to head over to Brian's and help his future wife plan a wedding that was going to be amazing I'm sure Brian had been knee deep into sound check when I called him and got no answer from him that's what Emma has to look forward to being married to a rockstar she's going have to deal with groupies around him every second they were out on tour I actually felt bad for Emma she needs some girl time and that's what I'm going to give her even though Val hates her and what's nothing to do with her.

"Claire do you want to come with me to daddy's house ?" I said walking downstairs.

"Yes!" Claire screamed

"Okay I will be ready in 3 minutes and then we can walk the door." I said

"I get to meet my new baby brother!" Claire ran for the front door.

I shouldn't have gave her that bowl of cereal this morning she was so hyper but she was so happy so I didn't want to ruin her moment we walked out the door to my old Volkswagen beetle I strapped her into the car seat and buckled her seat belt and I closed the door behind her I got into the driver's side of the car and buckled my seat belt Claire and I set off for Brian's house.

After the long drive to Brian's house Claire and I decided to stop for lunch at a local diner I searched for a parking spot but everything was full Claire was getting pretty hungry as well I didn't want to anger a already starving 7 year old I parked next to a black SUV I recognized Brian and Emma in the truck I didn't want to draw attention to myself or anyone else for that matter so I moved my Volkswagen beetle to the opposite side of them I tucked Claire in a blanket and walked inside without them noticing me Claire had already fallen asleep but Brian really wanted to see her so I told him I would drop her off in the morning I had a big day ahead of me tomorrow I wanted to go down to sound check and meet up with Atreyu but it was getting late so I had to get home and get some sleep.


The Next Morning
It was 7:30 in the morning when I woke up I stretched my arms out yawning the daylight sun peeking through my window I walked across the hall to check on Claire she was still asleep I didn't have to meet up with Atreyu until 9:00 so that gave me two hours to prepare my introduction speech not that I need an introduction speech but it was always great to be prepared I need to do more research on the band so I ran downstairs to my computer and googled Atreyu in my browser I stumbled upon the lead singer Alex Varkatzas he was decent looking but not that attractive and then I googled the drummer Brandon Saller he was pretty attractive but not by my standards the next bandmate in the Atreyu trio was the bassist Marc McKnight he seemed like a great catch for a woman whose into beards and ginger stereotypes not for me and then I googled up their guitarist Travis Miguel needless to say I found him attractive okay this is my inner fangirl coming out but then I came across their second guitarist Dan Jacobs and he was right on my hotness scale I also looked to see if any of the guys were married or engaged everyone was expect for Dan so I knew if I could have him steal me away from Eric then I need a plan.

Claire walked downstairs in her tinkerbell pajamas and sat down on my lap rubbing her eyes she was slowly waking up and wanted some mother daughter time she was my baby who was I to deny her all of my attention ?

"Good morning sweetie how did you sleep ?" I asked

"I slept okay I had a nightmare though." Claire replied

"Awe sweetie why didn't you tell me ?" I asked

"Because I wanted to be a big girl and make it go away with my magical powers." Claire smiled.

"And did you accomplish that ?" I asked moving hair away from her face.

"I did mommy." Claire hugged me.

"What are we doing today ?" Claire asked

"Well I have to meet some important people your going over to your dad's house today." I said

"Yay!" Claire squealed.


9:00am
I had gotten dressed because first impressions count don't they ? Claire had gotten dressed before me and I was clearly impressed with how she kept her room and wardrobe nice and neat I had everything in order and my introduction speech was tucked way in my purse so I was already super nervous already so I tried to clam myself down because I was also really excited too but I didn't want the guys to see me nervous and stuttering over my words.

I pulled up in Brian's driveway his car was nowhere in sight he must have already left for sound check so I saw no need to bother him he was kept a spare key under his doormat so I picked up Claire and gathered her things and proceeded to walk into a spotless house but when I walked in it had become a tornado of wedding invitations, seating charts, and sewing needles everywhere.. God this house was a storm waiting to rumble.

I had at least 10 minutes to arrive at sound check and meet the guys I was pretty nervous still I found a parking spot and jumped out of the car and sprinted for the door I know I had messed up my hair and I was sweating non stop because of the blazing heat but I made it one piece the Atreyu trio were finishing up their set when I grabbed a seat in the back of the room.. Hopefully they don't notice how sweaty I am I thought to myself.

Alex had walk off stage and approached me with a smilef he had his shirt off which made him more appealing to the naked eye I had to say his wife was pretty lucky to have a guy like him.

"Hi and who might you be ?" Alex asked

"I'm Michelle Dibendetto I came to hear you guys play." I said nervously

"Well welcome and it's nice to meet you." Alex shook my hand.

"You're touring with Avenged Sevenfold right ?" I asked which I already knew the answer to that idiotic question.

"Yes we are." Alex said smiling again.

"I'm coming out to see them play as well." I said nervously.

"That's awesome." Alex said.

"Yeah it is." I said

"Aren't you married to Synyster Gates ?" Alex asked curiously.

"Well I used to be I'm his ex wife." I replied.

"Oh so your the famous Michelle Haner." Alex smirked

"I wouldn't call myself famous but yes that's who I am." I replied.

"Well I have to get back to work the others should be around here somewhere." Alex chuckled.

I watched the guys rehearse for 2 more hours before Brandon walked off stage covered in sweat he looked better than his photos I had to hand it to his wife she was a pretty lucky woman to snatch up a great guy like him and then I heard a commotion backstage and it did not look pretty...

"Where were you yesterday ?! Ashley screamed

"I went to the beach with a friend." Brandon replied

"Who was with you ?" Ashley asked

"Nobody of your concern now can I get back to rehearsal ?" Brandon asked

"Go ahead but don't expect me to be here when you get back." Ashley replied.


2 hours later..
After Brandon and Ashley's big fight I decided to defuse the situation and wait outside in the parking lot Dan had come outside for a smoke break I urged myself to even get a sentence out but instead I stood there like a complete idiot... Nice going Michelle I thought to myself.

I walked to my car to grab my introduce myself to these hot guys speech.. Okay that sounded cheesy but who gives a flying fuck it sounded good to me. I didn't have time to apply more mascara because I wasn't being set up on a blind date or interviewing for the New York Times.

By the time I came back inside the only person I saw packing up was Dan now this was my chance to not chicken out anymore I need to face my fear and talk to him like a normal human being instead of being shy and nervous I walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder.. Here goes nothing.

"Hi I'm Michelle I just watched you guys rehearse and you sounded amazing." I said

"Why thank you beautiful." Dan smiled.

So I have a couple of questions to ask you." I replied.

"Okay go ahead I'm all ears." Dan said

"So how do you describe your sound ?" I asked

"Well were very melodic but also very edgy." Dan replied.

"How do you warm up before a show ?" I asked

"I start off with a couple of push ups followed by some pull ups". Dan replied

"And my final question for you ?" I asked nervously

"Don't be shy ask me". Dan replied

"Do you want to get a coffee or something later ?" I asked nervously waiting to be rejected

"Sure I'll text you my address and you can come pick me up." Dan replied smiling

"Okay does 4:00 tomorrow sound good ?" I asked

"That sounds perfect." Dan replied

"Okay see you tomorrow then." I said picking up my purse.

I walked out the door blushing like a schoolgirl I had to regain my composure before I chase him away and I didn't want that to happen so I rushed home and laid in bed staring at the ceiling before turning off my phone and drifting off to a peaceful sleep... I wonder what tomorrow will bring ? I thought to myself.
