Where Do We Go From Here ?

With the tour dates coming up I wanted to be prepared for anything and everything I was on the computer for about an hour I ran my fingers through my hair I looked over at the clock and it was close to midnight I had begun to get restless and tired so I wanted to get the last leg of this tour preparations done I walked to my truck and unlocked the door I scrambled for my phone in my back pocket I had 3 missed calls from Val I still wasn't talking to her until she came clean about the incident that night at Travis's party making amends was the last thing on my mind right now.. Lilian could come over for more than just a one night stand. I thought to myself.

I wanted to meet with everyone at dinner tonight and when I mean everyone I meant Lilian she had become a nice distraction from Val the last couple of weeks Brian had a female friend who he could come to for advice so why should I take a back seat and miss out on all of the fun Jolie seemed like a lot of fun but I couldn't steal her away from Brian he would kill me I haven't had any phone calls from Lilian but I had a text message from Zack. I scrolled through my messages and replied back to Zack's text he wants to go over the set list and the final song the song we would usually close with was always Unholy Confessions but Zack wanted to go in a different direction I saw that I had a text message from Lilian that read:

I miss you call me when you have free time I would really love to hear your voice can't wait to catch up :)

I drove home with anticipation to see Lilian in a couple of hours I needed to feel the touch of her skin her hair always had a glow to it which excited me I was on my way home to take a shower I saw Val's car in the driveway I walked in and I saw River's toys all over the place I yelled for her but she was nowhere to be found I dropped my bag on the couch and ran upstairs to see Val in a compromising position with Marc... What the hell is he doing in my bed! I thought to myself.

"Val! what the hell is he doing here!" I yelled Val wrapped herself up in the satin sheets and ran out of the bedroom Marc and I had come face to face I had been fuming with anger and frustration I just wanted to get out of there before I kill him it didn't seem like a logical solution but right now I didn't give a fuck.

"Marc I suggest you get your shit and leave now before I rip you apart." I said harshly.

"Well at least I can satisfy her more than you can." Marc slammed the front door and was never to be seen again.

"Valary Sanders Get Down here right now!" I roared

"What do you want me to do?" Val asked she was already dressed before coming downstairs she looked like she was enjoying the pounding she was receiving from Marc I was pissed beyond words she just sat down on the couch like she was waiting for me to yell at her for a wife that constantly goes behind your back and sleeps with another man doesn't deserve to be in a marriage anymore.

"WHY WAS HE IN OUR BED?!?! I yelled Val just slouched down into the couch even further without saying anything for a while I paced around the house trying to wrap my head around that my wife doesn't want to be with me anymore.

I had a new text message from Lilian:
Hey Mattybear meet me over at the pier in an hour I need you so badly right now I'm so lonely without you see you in an hour I will be wearing your favorite shirt

She didn't need to say anymore I grabbed my keys and ran for the door I left without giving Val a kiss goodbye because she drew the last straw with me and to be honest I need some space from her it was my choice to take a break I don't know how to feel about what I just saw transpire in my bedroom.


*~ 2 hours later*~

I arrived at the pier an hour early searching for her I couldn't see her in the crowd of people blocking my way I made my way through the sea of people I swear if I don't find my Irish spitfire I will go insane I saw a short blonde girl approach me from behind she looked like Lilian she sounded like Lilian but she wasn't dressed in my favorite shirt.

"Excuse me are you Matt?" the blonde girl asked.

"Yes and who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Lilian's twin sister Stephanie." Stephanie extended her hand to for me to shake

"Nice to meet you." I said smiling nervously.

"Lilian should be here in two minutes." Stephanie said

"Okay." I said still looking out for Lilian.

"Hi Mattybear I missed you!" Lilian wrapped her arms around me kissing my neck... If she keeps this up I'm going to take her in the public bathroom. I thought to myself.

Lilian, Stephanie, and I all went for a walk around the pier before I had to go to the studio and get things organized before we leave for the tour I started to get hungry and Stephanie had to leave to take care of some things so that had just left me and Lilian all to ourselves which is what I wanted I decided to take her to the best restaurant in town even though I wasn't dressed for the occasion all that mattered was that I had Lilian by my side.

Tonight was just wonderful everything that was bothering me had subsided within minutes I hadn't even thought about Val or the way she betrayed me I was too busy enjoying my time with my Irish spitfire she made me so weak at the knees but most importantly I could be myself around her and not feel like I need to be scared.


~* The Next Morning~*
The whole house remained silent Val has not been home since our argument I had a wonderful night with Lilian and I wouldn't change a thing about it if I could go back to last night I would but that was impossible I had gotten myself dressed for today I was headed out for my morning jog I put on Dropkick Murphy's State Of Massachusetts as recommended by Lilian she had a great taste in music as the music started to build I was more confident than ever... I don't know what this is between Lilian and I but it's a nice distraction from my problems with Val.


My jog had ended with me stopping at the studio to check on the progress of everything I was surprised to see that everything was in order the guys must have been working hard because when I called Brian he insulted me and said that he wants the day off I gave him the day off I sat down on the leather couch just thinking about what Jimmy would say about all of this.. I hope we're making you proud Jimmy. I thought to myself.
