Where Do We Go From Here ?

This is just ridiculous I pinched the bridge of my nose while scanning through Matt's checklist by this point I was exhausted and I need my sleep we were set to tour around September according to Larry's email we had two months to get everything in order I couldn't take sergeant Sanders for another day this was getting to be too much on all of us our private affairs were to be handled before hand I need a beer... I thought to myself. I watched peanut wrestle with his chew toy and flipped through the channels on TV nothing seemed to catch my interest as far as I'm concerned I could just watch Spanish soap operas and not have a care in the world.

I had gotten off of the couch and walked to the kitchen and grabbed a beer from the fridge Lacey had been gone since this morning she was always the early bird and I admired her for her functionality on a Sunday morning she is so determined to get things done I on the other hand was the complete opposite I loved being lazy on Sunday mornings in my boxers watching the news.. Yes I'm that type of person who watches Spanish soap operas... I thought to myself. Lacey walked through the door 3 minutes later with a handful of flowers and wedding favors.

"Who's getting married ?" I asked

"You know who smartass." Lacey replied

"Emma and Brian." I said.

"Yeah but they had gotten into a huge fight and Brian is in the hospital." Lacey said sitting down the bags on the table.

"What the hell happened ?" I asked

"I don't know." Lacey replied.

"I'm going to drive over there I'll be back soon." I said walking out the door.

"Okay." Lacey replied.


I walked out to my car and drove to the hospital... How could this happen ? I thought to myself. I stopped by Matt's house to pick him up because he needs to be there he will most likely yell at Brian like he usually does but he needs to chill out for one day. and handle his affairs with Val before were set to hit the road.

I pulled up in the hospital parking lot and parked next to a woman who has a bumper sticker that says... Mrs. Varkatzas parked here deal with it. I laughed and parked up next to her car and turned off my engine and ran into the hospital entrance with fear in my eyes. BRIAN ARE YOU HERE?!? I yelled loud enough so that he could hear me the receptionist pointed her finger at me motioning me to walk over to her.. She wasn't impressed ? I thought to myself. I walked over to her desk and with a nervous smile plastered across my face.

"Sir are you visiting anyone ?" She asked

"Yes a Brian Haner ?" I asked curiously.

"Oh he's in room 23B on the hallway to your right." She smiled.

"Thank you." I whispered.

I rushed down the hallway and located a woman with jet black hair and watched from a distance coming from Brian's room she sat down in the waiting room and watched a repeat of Master Chef on TV I walked into a bandage up Brian's room expecting the worse. he looked okay and seemed just fine so what happened that badly to send him here ? I thought to myself.

"Dude what happened to you ? I asked

"Emma and I had gotten into a huge fight over Michelle." Brian groaned turning over in his hospital bed.

"Why ?" I asked .

"She doesn't want Michelle at our wedding." Brian said.

"We will talk about this later I need some sleep." Brian said

"Okay I'll be by tomorrow morning." I said closing the door behind me.

I wasn't looking when I bumped into Hollie she had this short jet black hair and a Misfits t-shirt and diem jeans.. This is my type of woman I thought to myself. I had shaken that thought from my head and walked out to my car and drove home with a lot to think about.


The Next Morning..
7:30am had come around quickly and I wasn't in the mood for Matt's boot camp today I just wanted to lay in my pajamas and eat junk food until I can't eat anymore Lacey was out and about as usual so I didn't need to worry about it I grabbed my Atreyu sweatshirt and put over my worn out body then I proceeded to carry myself downstairs to prepare "breakfast" which consisted of a bowl of cereal and coffee I was supposed to go visit Brian today but I couldn't get myself up in time and visiting hours ended at 8:00 so I decided to visit him some other time.


Lacey returned from running errands she looked up at me exhausted and needing my help I greeted her at the door with a helping hand and carried half of the load into the kitchen she asked me to wash up for lunch and I just sat there with my headphones in my ear slowly falling into my own little world trying to not hear a word she was saying but then my phone buzzed right beside me on the coffee table it was from Hollie.

Hollie- Hey I think you left your wedding ring in the hospital lobby mind if I drop it off to you ?

Me- Sure

I pressed send it felt like my heart was racing in my chest I couldn't breathe and then I made the decision to get into my car and drive and meet Hollie without consulting Lacey first and drove down to Hollie's house to retrieve my wedding ring she was sitting outside tanning.. typical California girl. I thought to myself.

She spotted me getting out of my car running towards her she had my wedding ring in her right hand she handed me my ring and hugged me.

"Thank you so much." I said

"It's no problem." Hollie said

"Do you want to grab lunch sometime ?" I asked

"Sure." Hollie said smiling.

"Okay." I said

I rushed back to my car and drove back home to set a date for Hollie and I to have lunch a smile spread across my face I was excited and nervous at the same time but this one on one time needs to happen.
