Forbidden

As I looked over at the ten-year-old on the couch my heart ached, she looked just like my Jimmy. Blue eyes, blonde hair, beautiful smile. She'd never get to know her daddy, but we all made sure to keep him alive for her.

I will always love my Jimmy, I've known him and the guys my whole life basically since my dad had me super young but they never judged him, just loved him and me through everything.

I sighed softly as I flipped another pancake then smiled when arms went around my waist ‘good morning beautiful’ ‘good morning handsome’ I smiled as I turned my head and kissed Brian, he kissed back softly and rested his head on my shoulder.

I love my Jimmy and always will, but I love Brian too, he stepped up when Jimmy passed and helped me a lot. They all did, but Brian stole my heart. It happened not long after Jamey was born, around six months is when I started to actually look at Brian.

We were both there for each other more so then the others, we went and talked to Jimmy, as silly as it sounds but it helped us.

And, he gave a big gust of wind, so much so that I actually tripped and fell into Brian’s arms. It was then that I fell in love with him just with one look into his eyes. Jimmy was ok with us getting together, so we did.

We got married when Jamey was a year old, she loved Brian but she knows he’s not her daddy. I didn’t want to tell her but Brian insisted that she know so we told her together when she got older.

‘You ok babe?’ ‘Hmm? Yeah, I'm ok’ I smiled, he smiled back then kissed me again, I kissed back and laughed when I heard our little girl annoying her sister

‘Jamey, Bree, be nice or no going to uncle Matt’s barbeque’ I yelled, they awed then went back to watching tv. Brian laughed beside me as he got his coffee then he kissed my cheek again and went off to watch tv with the girls.

Once noon hit and the girls cleaned their rooms we drove over to Matt’s and began having the best time with everyone. Catching up and partying, not like when we were young but defiantly having fun embarrassing all the kids

‘mom!’ I heard so I took my attention from Brian and looked at our girls ‘yes?’ ‘Can we go to Anna’s for the weekend?’ ‘Sure, when do you want us to drop you off?’ ‘Um, her mom said in a few hours’

‘ok, did you wanna go home now and pack?’ I asked, they nodded so I laughed and we all started to say our goodbyes.

A few hours later and Brian and I were home alone for the weekend ‘what do you wanna do?’ I asked as I walked over to him with a beer, he thanked but then placed it on the coffee table and pulled me down into his lap making me laugh

‘I know what I wanna do’ he smirked, I smirked back and bit my lip. ‘Well, what are you waiting for then?’ I whispered as I leaned in close to his lips

‘mm I don’t know, maybe a kiss?’ he questioned, I laughed and kissed him a few times then pulled away as I set my hands on his shoulders while his went to my hips

‘I love you Brian, so much’ ‘I love you too Cat, I'm really glad that we gave this a shot after everything that happened’ ‘me too, I’ll always love Jimmy, I know you know that, but I will always love you also’

‘I know kitten, I will always and have always loved you too’ he whispered, I smiled softly then leaned in to kiss him again. He kissed back then took me upstairs for a long and lovely night.
