Summary
Matt Sanders was an ex-soldier of the USA army. He had served in Iraq along with his best friends for 6 years before he returned home. But the loss of one of his best friends changed him drastically.
They were all dealing with Jimmy's death differently... Matt's way to deal with the pain and the regret of his previous actions was devoting his life to God, he joined the Church and became a priest.
Hayden Somerhalder was Matt's ex-girlfriend and she hadn't seen him since he left to Iraq. She was running an Art Gallery in LA, she had her life settled, but she had no one in her life...she was a workaholic, she didn't had time to relationships. Maybe I should say she wasn't willing to deal with the possible heart break that a relationship usually meant. Last time she had given her heart, she never really got it back.
What will happen when destiny forces two old lovers to meet again? Will Matt doubt his choice? Will Hayden change her mind about love?

Brian was Jimmy's best friend... and he is one of Matt's best friends. Brian is engaged to Jade, who is expecting his child. Brian has been holding a grudge against Hayden since Matt tried to kill himself, but he is only trying to bury his own guilt for not being there for his friend. Brian is the overly protective guy, he feels responsible for his loved ones' safety; he's totally crazy about Jade and he's thrilled about being a father.

Johnny's fiancé and one of Hayden's best friends. She is a very down to earth kind of girl... she's an honest, pure, caring girl and she's madly in love with Johnny.

Matt's ex-girlfriend. Hayden owns the Aequalis Art Gallery, she buries herself in work in order to get her mind of what she wishes to forget

Brian's seven months pregnant fiancé... She's also one of Hayden's best friend. She has a bubbly personality, she's extremely funny and outgoing but she gets a little scary when she's mad. She'll do anything for Brian or any of her friends.

Johnny is one of Matt's best friend and even though he is three years younger, he served with Matt and the other guys in Iraq for four years. Johnny is engaged to Dana. Johnny is a good-hearted man, extremely loyal to his friends and the craziest in the group

Matt is a former soldier who lost his best friend in the field and struggles with that loss all by himself. Instead of asking for help when he needed it, he tried to end his own life and refuged in the cleric life after that. He's still in love with Hayden, even though he tries to hide it from everyone

Savannah is Zacky's fiancé and one of Hayden's best friends. Savannah is extremely up-fronted and energetic even though she looks like a quiet girl.

Zacky is one of Matt's best friends and an ex-soldier too. Zack is engaged with Savannah since he got back from war. He is the quiet and shy guy that's always paying attention to what happens around him.
Wow this is one very interesting story. Matt becomes a priest and then sees something bad going on tv that involves his ex-girlfriend who he decides to try and rescue. But now the question is...since he'll be reunited with her soon, would that mean that he would break his vows of being a priest just to be with her again? ooh the wait to finding out is killing me lol.
