Brian’s POV

I couldn’t believe just how good this day ended, not only was I about to pull Ave away from the after party a little early, no.
I looked around and saw all my friends having fun, them being happy and relaxed.

My eyes met Matt’s over the crowd of people and he was dancing with Maya slowly, he gave me a small nod and I smirked right back.
I knew exactly what he was feeling right now, he was in heaven.
He and Maya belonged together just like Ave and I did. It took us all a little longer to really notice or to make it happen, but now that it did happen, we both, Matt and I, would make sure nothing would come between it anymore.

I wouldn’t let Ave get away from me. I wouldn’t let her put any distance between us, too many misunderstandings and too many false comments had brought us to too much trouble, none of that anymore.

I knew we could work this out, I mean… Hell, she was all I wanted, all I needed, we had to make this work, with or without a child.

“So, Mr. Gates… Where are you leading me? The party is right there?” Ave asked and I heard the smile in her voice.
I guided her with both my hands on her slim hips backwards towards the door.
“That Mrs. Jacobson is a thing for me to know and for you to find out” I grinned and Ave chuckled.
“And if I want to spend more time with my friends on this party?” She asked playfully and I looked down on her from the side, so she could see the little offended look I put on.

“You rather spent time with them then with me? You do remember that this is our last night here, right?” I pouted a little and Ave put a hand to my cheek patting lightly.
“Oh, how could I say no to this face?” She placed a small kiss to my lips, which I wouldn’t let her get away with, before she could pull away, I plastered her firmly against my body.
My lips and tongue hungrily demanding entrance, but Ave gave willingly into me.

“We should go” Ave panted breathlessly when we ended the kiss and I smirked cockily.
“Told you so” I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the door, running into MB.
“What are you guys doing here outside? The party is this way?” He pointed to the entrance again and I waved him off.

“I have a better party to attend.” I grinned and MB lifted his eyebrow then smirked “Can I join?” He chuckled before I shoved him away and showed him the finger.
“You guys are no fun. Shads is even clingier now to M, I couldn’t even sneak a dance in, that asshole… and you… you just abandon the whole party…” MB muttered some more but I didn’t even hear the end of the sentence.

As soon as I had Ave in the elevator, I stalked closer to her, and caged her against the wall.
“Any special wishes, love?” I leaned down, letting my lips hover only inches from hers.
“Hmm… how about a bed, you and me.” Ave smiled and I chuckled.

We would be leaving for the airport in the morning, had some time until our flight goes, with the time differences, we would still arrive in the morning of Huntington Beach, which was really nice, so we had a full day back home, had our doc appointment and could recover from our jetlag. “Are you all talk or will you actually do something, now that you got me back in our room?” Ave asked and snapped me out of my thoughts.

“Ouch” I turned around finding a grinning Maya, “Idiot.” I narrowed my eyes on her while Matt pulled her quickly away and I had to grin, I loved those back and forth between us, and had missed it so dearly.

“Ave, is there any doubt that I want you with me? Do you think, I would let you get back to living with your Dad? When… when we might have-” I still couldn’t believe it but got used to the thought more and more.

“I-I hoped… but I don’t know” She said her cheeks blushing again and I pulled her in close “Silly little gnome”, I said with a laugh. “I’m not gonna let you leave my house… you will go there directly, we gonna get your stuff from Larry’s home… and you will move right in. There is no doubt, I want to have you with me Ave, all the time… and if you want to change something in my home, let me know… we can arrange that, alright?”
She nodded and placed a small kiss on my lips before we finally went onto the plane, going home.
Cali was already waiting for us, and another big appointment.

Thanks to some troubles at the airport and getting home, we were a little late after stopping by at my house to get freshened up, and now we really had to run to get to the appointment at the doc.

“Brian, I’m nervous.” Ave whispered when we entered the doc’s office.
“I’m too but everything will be fine. Believe me love, we will manage no matter what.” I told her and we headed straight for the reception.

“Good morning” The woman behind the counter greeted us and Ave took over with the talking, the woman brought us directly to the labor where they took Ave’s weight, blood pressure and blood samples, then she had to go to the bathroom and giving another sample.

I didn’t think about that any further, next we were brought into one of the exam rooms and were told to wait.
I saw Ave look nervously back and forth “Babe, don’t look so anxious. Everything will be okay, believe me.” I told her and let my hand rub over her back.

I tried to sound soothing and strong, but I was shivering inside, what would happen now?
What would they tell us?
Would we become a Mom and a Dad, was there a little something growing inside Ave’s belly.
A small smile came over my lips, I already pictured myself painting one of my guestrooms in a nice blue color, or maybe pink…

“Mr. Haner? Ms. Jacobson?” A woman entered the room, she was wearing a white lab coat and her name tag said ‘Mrs. Anderson’.
“Yes, hello” Both Ave and I shook the doc’s hand and she took the seat across from us.

“So what exactly brought you to me?” She asked and I frowned, she must know why we were here, couldn’t she just say the result?!
Did she have the results? Did we have to wait even longer, we were now more than two hours already here since the first test started.

Ave told the woman the whole story, well not the whole story, just the story of us having sex, her being overdue and the different tests she made with indefinite outcomes.

“Okay, and you Mr. Haner are the boyfriend?” She turned to me and I nodded “Yes.”

“We did some blood samples, they are still in the laboratory, but we will get the results in a couple of minutes, we did a urine sample and a pregnancy test with that, which was negative” The doc said and my heart sped up and stopped, and I didn’t really know how to feel about that now.

“But that doesn’t mean anything yet. We will do an ultrasound now, and to finally make this sure, we will get the results of the blood samples. Ms. Jacobson, will you please go behind the curtain and get undressed and tell me if Mr. Haner should stay or wait outside.” The doc said and I frowned, I’m not going to wait outside, but Ave was faster.

“He should stay.” Ave said and vanished behind the curtain, still the doc told me to go outside for a second and wait until she would get me back in when they were done with the preparation. I ran my wet hands down my thighs and tried to calm down my nerves.

When I was called back in, Ave lay on a bench, and the doc was already starting the ultrasound, my heart was pounding so fast, I had no idea what to expect or what I would be seeing on that little screen with black and white coloring.

I moved towards Ave’s hand and grabbed it quickly, giving her a squeeze. “Okay, let’s see” The doc moved around, a green curtain above Ave’s legs was shielding me from seeing what she was doing there exactly.

“Okay… yes.” It took her about 10 minutes, where she checked everything and then told us to wait.
“What… what does this mean?” Ave asked and I shrugged.
“I don’t know, maybe she wants to be really sure.” I said and frowned when the doc came back in with papers in her hands.

“Okay, I got the blood results and they are the same as the ultrasound. I’m sorry Ms. Jacobson, but you are not pregnant. I believe you told my assistant you had a lot of stress during the past weeks, which would describe the delay in your period, there is also iron minority in your blood samples, but I couldn’t find any sign of pregnancy during the ultrasound, as well the blood test and the pregnancy test giving the same result.” She handed the test result to Ave and turned to the door “I’ll give you a moment to yourself” With that she went out of the door and I swallowed thickly not really knowing what to do, so I did the first thing that came to my mind, I hugged Ave close and whispered in her ear soothingly words.

“Don’t worry love, maybe this was not the right time… but one day it will be and then, we will have a family, you and I, we will, I promise you that.” I told her and felt Ave nod against my chest, my feelings were torn. I got used to the thought of becoming a Dad and now, everything concerning that was taken away, but on the other side, I had Ave for a little longer only to myself, which was nice… but how was Ave feeling about this now?!

Maya’s POV

“What are your plans for today, big guy?” I grinned at Matt while we were sitting in the cab from the airport bringing us first to my home which was currently Larry’s house again, getting some more stuff and then to his, to finally settle in.
“My plans for today, huh?” Matt asked, when he laid his big hand on my thigh, moving up and down, a little further up and back down again and I grinned.

“Yeah, your plans?” I said and closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his hands on me.
The little time out we had during the bus ride and then last night in the hotel, wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy my hunger for him.

“How about we go to the gym later on?” Matt asked and without looking at him, just from the sound of his voice I knew he was grinning, his dimples full visible and I opened my eyes, staring into his smiling face.

“Gym, huh?” I asked putting his hand away from me. “I thought about some other work out, but if you rather work out with your buddies… go ahead” I told him turning to the window, looking as the familiar streets of Huntington Beach were moving past me.
When I was suddenly pulled into a hard chest, and a kiss was pressed to my lips demandingly, and I couldn’t help but open up and moan.

“You know I wouldn’t give away any chances of working out with you, babe.” Matt whispered and then licked my ear and I shivered.
“I hope so, big guy”

“But-” He added and I laid his arm around my shoulders, while I rested my head on his chest.
“We will quickly, get your stuff packed up, and then I want you in my home, my bed.. my rules.” Matt added and I smirked.
“You think we can wait that long?” I lifted my eyebrow. And Matt chuckled “We have to, that’s what I imagine since days… having you in my bed, in my home… being home.”

And I swallowed thickly the way he said that, made it even more real, I placed a feather light kiss on his lips “I love you, I’m not going away.”
“I won’t let you” Matt assured and I smiled, we quickly moved around Larry’s house, and I put into a bag everything that I found and was necessary, before we went back into the waiting cab.

“I got an idea.” I told Matt who held the door open for me.
“What would that be?” He asked and we settled inside. “Can we change the address? Please bring us first to the Adam’s Ave” I told the driver and Matt frowned.

The driver nodded and changed directions “Where are we going?” Matt looked confused and I pulled my phone out seeing I had two missed calls from Ben, making me feel guilty right away again, and one message from Jimmy.

I opened the message and saw what Jimmy wrote:

When does Haner and little Gnome have their appointment? Should we go there?

I quickly typed back:

On our way to Adams Avenue right now, meet you there in 10. M

When the cab stopped in front of the building Matt still looked slightly confused at me.
“What are we doing here?” He asked and while I told the cabby to wait for us.

I dragged Matt to the entrance, seeing Jess, Jimmy, Zack, Johnny and the Berry brothers already waiting at the entrance.
They all looked like they haven’t really been home, and decided to meet our friends here first to support them.

“Ah damn, I nearly forgot… The appointment” Matt finally said “But you think it’s a good idea for all of us to be here and… wait… I mean what… if… I don’t know, it’s not what they expect?” He asked and I pulled Matt’s arms around me, making him look into my eyes.

“Either way, they will need their friends. Either to celebrate or to be sad, we need to be here, and I know they want exactly that. Afterwards they can go home and cuddle up and do whatever those two are wanting to do, lick wounds or not.” I told him with a quick kiss to the lips when the front door opened, but not Ave and Brian came out, another pair, looking at our small group of friends standing there with a frown.

About two more pairs came out, and Jimmy was so nervous that he wanted to storm in there and demand to give his friends free, until Jess and I could calm him down. He had sat down on the pavement, Jess on his lap, me beside him, holding his hand, while Matt was pacing before us.

“If I knew this would take so long, I would have made a quick stop at a burger shop, damn I’m hungry” Johnny complaint when the door opened and Brian and Ave finally came out.

He had his arm around her, whispering in her ear and they stopped in their tracks seeing all of us standing there.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Brian asked stunned before we all rushed forward and grabbing them into hugs.

I got a hold on Ave and pulled her into my arms, before anyone else could “And?” I asked softly and Ave shook her head. “Not pregnant, they made all kinds of test, and they are sure.” She said and I heard relieve and sadness mixed in her voice.

“Hey, that’s okay. You can be happy and sad, that’s nothing wrong about it, sweetie” I told her and hugged her again.
“Thanks, I’m glad we know for certain now” She said and I nodded “That’s true, now let me get a hold of your boyfriend” I said while Matt took over the hug of Ave and I moved up to Brian.

“I’m sorry” I told him and Brian looked at me a little stunned “I know you got used to the thought, and you will be a great Dad one day.” I told him and he hugged me close “Thanks, M.”
We didn’t say more, we didn’t need to, not at that moment.

We were blocking the whole entrance and were finally nicely asked to move to the side, which we did and Ave and Brian told us what exactly happened, but when Brian’s phone rang he excused himself and went to the side, afterwards we said our goodbye’s and all moved back to our cars but not before agreeing to meet as a tradition with everyone back at Johnny’s Bar to end the tour properly and then Matt and I went back to the cabby who was still waiting for us.

He would demand a big extra payment for that, but I wouldn’t have it any other way, I wanted to be there for Ave and Brian and I knew Matt agreed with me on that one.

Another incoming message made me look down on my phone seeing again it was Ben, I sighed.
I had to ask Ave later on if James was also still writing and calling her? And what had Ben meant with the call that James recieved, he hadn’t told me about that before everything… ended.

Should I call him again and talk to him a final time? Or would that make everything worse?
“What are you thinking about, babe?” Matt asked and I cringed inwardly.
“Someone calling?” He took the phone from my hand seeing the missed calls and message.

“That fucker!” Matt raged and I quickly took the phone from him.
“He still doesn’t understand a no… Let me call him and I will make him understand it, if needed I will punch some sense into his brain!” Matt yelled even more making the cab driver look at us weird.

“Calm down, babe. Maybe I need to call him just to make it more-” I tried to soothe which seemed to upset Matt even more.
“You are not calling that asshole. If he didn’t get the message the first time, then it is his fucking problem and not yours. Or I will take matters into my own hands.” Matt looked angry, the vein on his neck pulsating, and I sighed.

“Hey… big guy, we are nearly home… We had other plans for today, right? How about you will forget everything about Ben and just concentrate on me, because all I see and wanna feel is you…” I said softly while I moved closer to Matt.
I let my hand run over Matt’s shirt, and then quickly, let it slip underneath, meeting hot flesh, and I smiled.

His muscles contracted as soon as my hand moved over his skin and he groaned quietly, “Babe” It sounded like a warning and a promise and I liked that.

I let the hand move away from under the shirt and run over his jeans clad crotch, making him swallow thickly and his home was now only a few houses away.

“You little devil, as soon as I open the door to our home, I will have my wicked way with you, and that’s for fucking sure!” Matt groaned into my ear and I gave him a smirk “I hoped you would say that”
