Maya’s POV

I couldn’t believe what just happened, I got fired… I got freaking fired.
“Maya, hey don’t worry” Ben’s voice sounded beside my ear “I’ll talk to him, I’ll take the blame… I was the one who-”
But I shook my head before he could even finish “No, he was very clear with Avery and me, I fucked up and he meant it. Shit.” I ran a hand over my eyes in frustration, I should have known better, but let the fun get the best of me.

“I can still talk to him, or James will… He will calm down, okay?” Ben took my hand in his and he intertwined our fingers, but I knew even his trying wouldn’t get us far.
When we walked away from the back room I saw Avery coming our way.

“What the hell, Maya?” Avery’s expression looked stormy and I sighed “I know… it’s done and too late, spare me your speech, Ave.” I said and she rolled her eyes.
“Couldn’t you two wait for a couple of hours?” Her eyes moved to Ben in a judging way and he shrugged “She is that hot, don’t blame me… but I told her already, I’ll talk to David… we will manage” With that Ben gave me a kiss to the cheek and walked towards David behind the bar.

I saw them discussing, David shaking his head and I sighed, I knew it wouldn’t lead to anything.
“And now?” Ave asked and I shrugged “Now, I don’t have a job anymore.”
“We don’t have a job anymore” Avery said and I frowned “You still have your job, Ave. He just fired me.” I clarified but Avery shook her head at me “That’s where you are wrong. I told David if he fired you, I’m going as well… So any plans for tonight? Even though I still think we should have tried to keep the job until our Graduation in two weeks.” Avery gave me a small push to the side and I laid my arm around her small shoulders.

“You really told him that, little Gnome?” I asked a little proud of my best friend and she nodded.
“Yup, I did. We belong together, right? So if you go… I go.” Ave nodded with a smile and I hugged her even more into my side, when we reached the bar and I saw Ben shaking his head when he walked towards me.

“Sorry, love… no can do, he is behaving like a stubborn ass, so he rather fires his best employee than make a freaking exception” Ben sounded pissed off and talked so loud that David had to hear him.
I had to smile at his attempt to make it right and kissed his lips in reward.

“Thanks, but it’s okay… I will just find something else… only a couple more days until we are done anyway…” I said and Ben’s eyes widened “What… do you mean?” He asked and Ave cut in “I’ll go over to James, we will go outside have a cigarette, alright?” She asked and I nodded.
“Yeah, thanks, babe” I was glad she gave me and Ben a second, but we got interrupted again from David, even before Ave could turn to leave.

“Maya, you know the rules, I’m sorry, and Ave you really wanna go as well?” He asked his eyes moving between me and Ave back and forth but Avery nodded “Yeah, we are a package, when Maya goes so do I.” I saw Ben looking at Ave with a smile and something like proud or awe, I wasn’t too sure.

“You can still think about it, alright? But if not, come by in about a week to collect your last paycheck, and I am really sorry, but I have to keep the rules and if I start to make exceptions, everyone thinks he can do anything here… It’s still work, I am sorry, but done is done.” David looked pointedly at Ben and I nodded.

“It’s okay. I’m sorry, we will come by and collect our last paycheck… and thanks so far” I didn’t want to talk about it any further, like he said done was done, and he wouldn’t change his mind, and I honestly didn’t give a fuck, we did have a good time and I should have known better, but then again… too late now. With that we all turned to leave and Avery quickly met up with James, vanishing into his car, while Ben lit up a cigarette outside the bar and stared at me from the side.

“What did you mean with you are done in a couple of days anyway?” Ben asked inhaling deeply and I watched the cigarette lightning up with his inhale.
“Well, we are nearly done with college, only two more weeks, then we have our graduation… so then Ave and I need to think about our future… and need to find something to work so we can start built our dream” I said and Ben nodded, I told him about Ave and my dream of working together and when we have enough money saved we would start our own business.

“And how about I’ll organize something for you to work? Something with the band? Would you want to do that? That way we could also still spent time together, so can James and Avery?” Ben sounded casually, like he was just thinking about it but I saw the way he watched my reaction and I had to smile, had he been thinking about this for longer or really just thought about it?!

“Of course, I would like to do that… but do you really think you could manage that?” I frowned and Ben had a smirk on his face.
“Don’t worry, love. I promise you, I’ll manage” He threw the cigarette stump down and stepped onto it, then pulled me into his arms “So now, what are we going to do with this remaining evening? Any ideas, M?” Ben asked and I grinned, “How about we let someone else bring us some drinks and then head home with a cab?”

“Sounds like a plan… go write Ave a message that they should meet us…” Ben said and I nodded, pulling my phone out so we could spend the evening together with our best friends instead of working, not too bad if I come to think of it, and I just pushed the other thoughts away.

James’ POV

“You liked the food? I mean, instead of going out I thought I’m gonna try my cooking skills for you” I asked Avery who helped me bring the empty plates to the kitchen.
“It was delicious. I didn’t know you were improving your cooking skills, but I have to say a man that can cook it pretty damn hot” Ave winked and just when I wanted to grab her, she moved out of my range chuckling.

“Oh you little witch… I’m gonna get you” I quickly set the plates aside and Avery moved around the kitchen island to grab Avery but she was faster.
“Damn it, you sneaky little-” There I nearly got her, but again slipped through my fingers.

“You gotta be faster than that, Jamesss” She grinned and boy did I love to see her smile and be so carefree, another week had passed since Avery and Maya had now every evening free cause they got fired or well Maya got fired but Avery quit as well.

We had been spending most of them together as four, or as a band, when we had our meeting but this evening I had different plans, I wanted Avery just for myself.
So we had a nice self made dinner, in which I really outdid myself. I mean hell it tasted good and I didn’t burn down the house, and everything was ready when Ave arrived here, so more perfect wasn’t manageable, I guess.
Even though I knew that Maya would be here in about 2 hours to pick Ave up for their final time going to the bar and getting their last paycheck, David had called them and told them to come by tonight so they could settle the last open things.

I told her I could drive her, but the girls insisted on going alone, I guess they needed some girl time, so I asked Ben to come over when Maya was picking Ave up. I wanted to talk to him about something when Ave and Maya weren’t with us, so that would be the perfect timing anyway.

And 2 hours were plenty of time now for me and Ave, to play around and for other things I had in mind and I hoped Ave would maybe this time give in.
I was really patient and I loved to spent time with her but I think we could also make the next step, I would give it another try…

Just when Avery turned to the left near the couch I sprinted forward and tackled her onto the carpet, I turned us so she wouldn’t get hurt and landed on top of me.

“Heyyy… how did you do that?” Avery complaint with a laugh, but I just silenced her with a kiss, that was exactly the direction I wanted this to go, and when Avery willingly opened her mouth and let me in to play I knew she was ready as well.

I pushed myself up and turned us around, so she lay with her back on the carpet and I braced my weight on my elbows on top of her, I leaned down and captured her lips with mine again.
I let myself a little further down so Ave would be feeling just how much I wanted her right now, my dick was painfully throbbing from all the playing around and no real action.

I nearly moaned out loud when Ave’s small hand circled around my dick and began to pump up and down, I leaned my head against hers and closed my eyes “Oh god… yes” I couldn’t have kept quiet even if I wanted to.She pulled her hand away and lifted my shirt, I quickly got rid of it and leaned back down to kiss her, my hands began to fumble with her shirt and bra to get rid of it as quickly as possible, when her breasts were bared, Ave looked a little shy, even though I had seen her upper body naked before I was still amazed.
I licked my lips and then leaned down to suckle one petit nibble into my mouth, Avery’s hand found my erection again and began to give it a squeeze before moving up and down and I had to concentrate on not coming just yet, she was really driving me insane.

“James” Avery moaned lightly when I began to turn my attention to her other breast and sucked again, her hands moved into my hair, pulling me closer to her and I grinned, while my other hand began to open her shorts to pull them down.

When I also opened my pants and pushed my jeans down and I quickly let my hand wander to her thighs and pushed them a little further apart, Avery’s eyes snapped open, and I knew that panicked look in her eyes, had seen it before and my heart was still breaking for her while frustration welled up inside me as well, knowing we wouldn’t get any further tonight.

“Sshhh… It’s okay babe. It’s just you and me” I told her and hoped to soothe her but Avery’s hand moved up to my shoulders, stroking them lightly but she was right there pulling away from me.
“I can’t James… I don’t think…” Avery stuttered her eyes moving everywhere but to me and I pulled my jeans back up, to show her I understood.

“Hey, it’s okay.. I told you, when you are ready… you will tell me. I’ll wait… we can just-” I thought of a way out for both of us, like I always did because I didn’t want Avery to feel too much pressure, but it mostly went this way, we were making out, it was getting heavier, and I knew we both wanted it and then when we were nearly there, she backed out, afraid – too afraid to do it.

I respected that and told her I would wait, but it was getting harder and harder with each week… and month. I just liked Avery so bad that I wanted to show it to her every way possible… and it was kind of hurting me that she couldn’t trust me enough with her body…

The doorbell rang and saved us both from the awkward minutes that followed until we both could go back to our normal behavior.
“I bet that’s Maya… she wanted to come a little early. Can you open up, I’ll quickly change” Avery scrambled up to her feet and vanished into the bathroom while I pulled my shirt back on and closed my pants.

When I opened the door she was indeed right, it was Maya and Ben, they were kissing and didn’t even realize that I opened the door. I looked Maya up and down and frowned, does she want to go somewhere else then the bar? She had a long jacket over a red cocktail dress.. And why was Avery getting redressed anyway?

“Hmhm” I cleared my throat and instead of stopping Ben just held up his middle finger and grinned into the kiss with Maya.
“You going somewhere later on?” I asked and pushed Ben away from Maya and she chuckled.
“Nope, just to the bar, I just wanted to show David what employees he lost. I told Ave to dress sexy too.” Maya grinned walking past me and vanished as well.
“And sexy you are, love” Ben called after her with a smirk and I had to shake my head, was that really my best friend?

Avery and Maya came back, so now both styled in short dresses, with jackets on their arms. The weather looked like it was about to rain soon, so at least they were prepared for that, hope it wouldn’t though, thought I could spend some more time outside with Avery later on.

The girls kissed us goodbye and just when they were about to close the door the rain began to pour and they had to put the jackets on and pull the hood over their head and then they were out of the door.

When I was sure they were gone and wouldn’t be coming back I turned to Ben “You remember what we talked about last time? In a week it’s the girls graduation and we need to finally get the rest of the party set… I think the best think would be if we call Larry now, to ask him about Avery and Maya’s favorite things… maybe he even wants so show up… what do you think?” I asked Ben who nodded, “Been thinking about it as well and searched for the number on my phone, got it here… so we could call him right away… what do you say?” Ben asked and I nodded.
“Do it, we need to get this done and I think a party for their Graduation is just the perfect surprise for them, don’t you think?” I asked and Ben nodded while he clicked to call Larry and put him on speaker.

Brian’s POV

“What if we change the set for the concert tomorrow?” Matt asked into the group and I nodded.
“Something we haven’t been playing for a while, as a surprise?!” I asked Matt nodded “Exactly what I’m thinking.” He grinned and I had to do the same while Jimmy, Zack and Johnny were rolling their eyes.

“You guys are overdoing the job thing now…” Johnny complaint, “Our sound-check is now taking nearly the double time and you hear every freaking mistake, it’s a sound- check nothing more. We said to concentrate on work not to… only do work. You are still allowed to do something else…” He finished and I rolled my eyes.

We couldn’t do it right with these guys, first when Matt and I had this bad phase of only drinking and partying away, they set us straight, they even made an intervention for us, brought us back from a freaking party, all waiting on the bus for us… chiding us a like a small kid and then when we turned it into the opposite it was wrong as well…

We just wanted the best show possible, make up for the shitty shows that we had for a while. The fans really didn’t deserve that, and now that we were in the UK, we had this special show coming up, and I couldn’t wait to show what we got.

It’s been weeks again and Matt and I had busied ourselves with work and nothing else, sure we had a drink here and there but nothing more, no partying all night, no nothing, we would do our work and when that is done we planned on finally searching for our girls. We haven’t been talking about Avery and Maya for solid three weeks, not getting us distracted, but when someone brought their names up, Matt and I had a talk, we were still sure that there was something and that it was worth fighting for… so we both agreed after out tour is done, we would go searching for them, but before that we would concentrate on our fans, music and shows.

“Sorry, guys… I’m late.” Larry walked into the conference room of the hotel and looked like he was busy as hell, one meeting after the other… again.
So he hurried through all our questions and plans and was about to dismiss us again, but then he turned around “Wait a second. Matt, Brian can I talk to you… alone for a few minutes?” He asked and even before we could answer Jimmy, Johnny and Zack were already running out the door.

What could Larry want from us? We had been the perfect band mates lately?!
“I just wanted to tell you that I’m glad that you two finally pulled your head out of your ass and are normal again… I know you had a hard time but I am glad that you two are back on track now… that’s about it… I just had to tell you that” Larry clapped my and Matt’s back and I nodded.
“Thanks Larry, I guess we needed this ass kicking…” Matt said and smiled.
“Right… shit another meeting.” Larry looked at his phone, and then handed it to me.
“I’ll be right back, just heading to the restroom then I’m leaving again” Larry said and then vanished.

I looked at his phone with a frown then at Matt who also looked irritated, I set the phone on the table next to me and sighed, “So you like the set up plan?” I asked Matt but before he could answer the phone starting ringing.

I looked down on it and saw Asking Alexandra – Ben Bruce calling on the display. “Look who’s calling” I said to Matt who also stared down.
“Maybe they know Larry is in the UK?” Matt shrugged and I frowned “But what does Larry have to do with them? They got their own Manager, right?” I asked and then Larry came storming in.
“I got it… I got it …wait” He took the phone and picked up “Hello?”
“Yes, hey… Ben, what’s up?” Larry asked and Matt and I turned around waving Larry a final time, and he nodded.

“Avery and Maya, huh?” Larry said and both Matt and I stopped in midstride at hearing their names.
“Yeah… hmm… okay.” Larry continued but then just listened.
“Yeah, good. Okay, I will think about it and let you know. Yes, as soon as possible of course… Okay, Ben… I will. Bye” Then Larry hung up and stormed past us “We will see us in a couple of days… Good show tomorrow”

“Did I hear him correctly?” Matt asked and I nodded “What does Ben and Asking have to do with Maya and Ave? And why were they calling Larry?” I asked and Matt frowned, deep in thoughts, when the answer hit me.

“I know what the fuck they want!” I nearly yelled and Matt looked at me still clueless.
“What is it?” He asked confused.
“I bet they asked for the girls to work on their booth, on their merch booth! Fucking hell, these british assholes!” I said and Matt nodded “Fuck, that must be it… and Larry will think about it… god damn… that’s not good”

“Hey Matt… since we got the evening off… what do you think about having a beer tonight? We could think about it further, and that will help us think, right?! By the way the other guys have vanished anyway, so why not head into a bar here near the hotel… I saw one down the street?” I asked and I thought we have earned us a beer after all the work we did lately.

“Why not… I mean, we are done with everything… but shit.. look at the English weather.. It’s raining like a bitch” Matt motioned outside and I nodded “Then let’s grab a jacket and then go…” I wouldn’t let the stupid rain keep me from my well earned beer.

“Good then let’s go” Matt and I went to our hotel rooms and grabbed our jackets, I pulled the beanie down and the hoodie over my head as did Matt, then we took a cab to the entrance and quickly moved towards the entrance.

When I was about to open the door guests from inside were just coming out nearly running into me, I just saw bared women legs and a black jacket and blonde hair peeking out from the hoodie of her jacket, and why didn’t she stay a little longer, I grinned to myself…
Then some giggling but the rain was so loud, that I couldn’t hear what was so funny. I saw Matt also staring after the two leaving figures but then shoved me inside, so we wouldn’t be completely drained.

When we pulled our jackets off inside and sat down near the bar the bartender shook his head at the door still with a grin on his face “What’s so funny?” I asked him and he shrugged “That had been my fucking best employees that just left, and these girls really showed off here… they just came to get their last paycheck and really made me pay for having to fire them… damn I wished I could have taken it back… but rules are rules right… so what can I get you?” He added and I chuckled.

“Maybe you should have made an exception, I didn’t see much but what I saw I really liked” I grinned and Matt also had a smirk on his face “If the face looked anything like the legs I could see, I can only agree” He added and the bartender chuckled “Oh yeah, you would have liked them and some guys liked them a little too much that was the problem, too.”

Then he set two beers in front of me and Matt and winked “These are on the house, if you need more let me know”
