Something Takes A Part Of Me

Prologue

There was something off about Zacky.

Scratch that, there was something wrong with Zacky.

He just wasn't the same person anymore. The old Zack was gone, and I didn't know if I liked the "new" person he'd become.

Zack became distant. He would avoid outings to restaurants and such, claiming he had other things on his mind. There was always an excuse, like he had to take Ichabod to the vet, or he had to pay his nephew and niece or visit, things like that.

Zack became quiet. He was usually the most talkative person of us all, always having stories to tell and whatnot. But that changed quickly. Nowadays, it was a surprise if he even spoke a word to you. Grunts and the occasional shake or nod of his head were the only ways he would communicate.

Zack became moody. He wasn't the type of guy to get mad easily. Sure, he had his moments, but that wasn't often. Now, he would get angry or upset over a stolen bag of chips, or if one of the guys had taken his beloved seat on the couch. Small things like a piece of furniture out of place would set him off.

To say Zacky had changed somewhat was an understatement. It was like he'd become a whole new person.

A person nobody wanted to be around.

But I couldn't just leave him. He was my best friend.

He was like a brother to me. And brothers don't just leave each other after shit hits the fan.

So, with that being said, I am determined to find out what went wrong with Zacky.

But it's always easier said than done.

Notes

Idk what how this is going to turn out, but all I know is that it's not going to be a happy love story at the get go. It's going to be dark.

Don't forget to leave feedback :)
