02: Dinner
Brian P.O.V
I place a pot at the window in my bedroom. A small size of cactus make me smile, I think about her again.
I water it a little bit and leave my room to downstair, Mckenna and Mom sitting here. They turn to me and asked.
“Where did you go? You never wake up early” mom asked
“Just… loaf”
“Loaf? I see you bring something here, what was that?”
McKenna asked me, why woman like to question? It’s very annoyed me.
“Just a pot of cactus. Don’t mess it”
Her eyes go wind, I know she won’t believe it.
“What happened to you? D… did you forget to take a medicine?”
I sigh, they’re too much same!
“Alright, I want you two to just leave me alone, please”
They just nodded and talking together again.
I walk toward kitchen, make some cereals and watch the videos on Youtube.
April’ P.O.V
“Peatie!”
Natalie shout and run toward me, she hug me tight and I hug her back.
“It’s Friday”
She said and giggled. Every Friday Ethan and Natalie will going to visit us, they are the office workers and share room together. Ethan love his mom so much so he will come back every week.
“Hey April”
“Hi Ethan”
I said and smiled at him, he smile back and come to hug Natalie.
“Stole my girl?”
“Come on Ian, I don’t like this joke”
But it make me laugh to. “Madam waiting for you, she cooking now” I pointing at kitchen, they nodded and beg off.
I set the roses panicle on the counter and tie the red bow at the handle. I look at the clock, the customer will take it in 5 minutes so I sit on the chair, waiting for him.
He has black hair, green eyes and colorful tattoos on his arms, likes Brian. I’m not sure is he is his friend or knowing him but that’s not my business so I just waiting for him quietly.
Then a black BMW parking in front of the shop. He get off of car with suit, still good-looking.
“Hi Mr.Baker”
“Hi”
I hand him a panicle and he pay me 20$, too much!
“It’s all your tips. Thanks for beautiful flowers”
“Thank you to”
He walk back to his car, what a kind man. I smile to myself, this is my very lucky day.
It’s time to close the shop. I sigh before grab a key to lock the door, turn the label to ‘close’ and slide the iron door shut.
I walk toward the back door, open it and lock it, see the house behind the shop. I reach the door and enter the house. Ethan and Natalie are in kitchen, waiting for me with his mom.
“You tried?”
“A little bit”
I asked, sitting down on the chair, I sip the water in my glass.
“You look so tried today”
Mrs. Jones say as we start to eat. I just smile weakly and cut the meat.
“Tomorrow the shop close, remember?”
“Yes, madam”
Yes, tomorrow it’s my time to rest, go to anywhere I want and work again in Sunday.
“How is going this week?”
Natalie asked me with smile.
“Like the same, work and loaf at the beach”
“And maybe find her soulmate”
Mrs. Jones said and giggled, Natalie gasped and grabbed on Ethan’s arm.
“D… did you heard that?”
Ethan nodded. I look at them.
“Why?”
“OMG!! Finally he’s appeared”
I just sigh in her action, is that really important? I don’t know but I think is not my time.
