Alice In Wonderland

Alice's Pov
"How do I look?" I asked Angie
"Nah, change the top." Angie said motioning with her hand.
"Then what should I wear?" I asked.
"Honey, you need to look beautiful. Try something new." Angie said.
"But I don't have anything fancy." I said.
"Come with me." Angie said and took me to her room. She opened her closet and took out a backless blue dress with black stripes on it.
"Here you go!" Angie said as she handed me the dress.
"Angie, that's beautiful. But I can't wear it." I said.
"Why?" She asked.
"It's yours. And I.....I'm sorry, but I can't." I said.
"Alice, whatever I have is yours too. We already share the apartment, this is just a dress. Wear it, please." Angie said and I took it.
"Hurry, it's 6:45." Angie said and pushed me in the bathroom. After I put on the dress, Angie did my make up and hair. All of a sudden, the doorbell rang and my heart skipped a beat. He's here.
Angie went outside to open the door and I followed her.
"Hi." Angie said as she opened the door.
Brian was standing there, wearing this black v-neck, black jacket and ripped jeans. I thought I might faint seeing him like this.
"Hello Angie." He said and came inside.
"Hi." He said as he saw me.
"Hey...." I said almost in a whisper.
"You look beautiful." He said and I blushed heavily.
"You too." I said.
"Beautiful?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No, I mean, you look good too." I said quickly.
"Both of you look great." Angie said.
"Shall we leave?" He asked and I said yes.
"Good bye Angie." He said like a gentleman and I saw Angie almost melt. Yeah honey, I know how it feels.
"Good bye. Have fun." Angie said and we left.
We went down and got into his car. He started it and I asked, "Where are we going?"
"My place." He says and I look at him.
"Your place? I thought we were going out for dinner." I said.
"Yes we are gonna have dinner. At my place." He says calmly as he drives.
"Oh......." I almost whisper.
We reach his house in 20 minutes and he takes my hand and leads me inside.
"What should I order?" He asked me.
"Can we have home made food?" I ask and he gazes at me.
"I don't cook." He says.
"Who did the breakfast this morning?" I asked.
"Alice, it was corn flakes. Everyone knows how to prepare that." He says with a smirk.
"Can I make dinner?" I ask.
"No, you can't. I wanna spend time with you. I don't want you to cook." He says.
"We can talk while cooking." I suggested.
"But......" He starts but then he asks me, "You wanna cook?
I shake my head and he says, "Fine."
We takes me to the kitchen and opens the fridge.
"Take whatever you like." He says.
I take out two red peppers and ask him to hold them.
"You're asking me to hold them?" He asks surprised.
"Yeah, I guess there's no one else in here except the two of us." I reply and he takes the peppers from me and places them on the counter. I take out some garlic, shallots and French beans and start chopping them.
"You're quite good at this." He mutters.
"My mom taught me." I say.
"What else did she teach you?" He asks as he comes near me and I seem to lose my voice.
"She taught me....." I forgot what I had to say.
"Tell me." He says as he smells my hair and I shiver.
"She...." I feel like my heart's gonna fall out.
"We should finish the cooking soon. I'm hungry." He says and moves away.
I cough slightly and he looks at me again, "Are you sick?" He asks.
"No." I say.
"Good." He says and comes near me again.
"I forgot one thing." He says and brings his mouth down to mine and kisses me. I groan and his arms embrace me, pulling me to him. His hands the way into my hair and I kiss him back. He tastes divine. He pulls back suddenly and strokes my hair.
"Do you have work tomorrow?" He asks.
"No, it's Sunday." I say.
"What about Star Bucks'?" He asks.
"Nah, I took a day off." I say.
"I want you like this." he says.
"What do you mean by that?" I ask.
"I want you to open up to me, be yourself and carefree." He says.
"OK, so I don't have work tomorrow." I say.
"What about your reporting job?" He asks.
"I'm on a leave." I say.
"Then will you stay tonight?" He asks and I look at him, scared. Really, I got scared.
I think he saw it too and he said, "I'm asking you to stay only. Nothing else."
And I sigh in relief.
"I'll have to talk with Angie." I said.
"Cool." He says.
We have dinner and he tells me what he did today. I also tell him about my day.
I call Angie and tell her about my stay.
"You sure honey?" She asks.
"Yes I'm sure." I said and heard her sigh.
"Angie, I'll be fine. Don't worry." I said.
"Be careful." She says and I hung up.
"What did she say?" He asks me.
"She's OK." I say.
Boy, it's gonna be a long night.........................................
