Alice In Wonderland

Alice's Pov
It's very quiet. I am comfortable and warm in this bed. I open my eyes and for a moment I'm enjoying the strange and unfamiliar surroundings. I have no idea where I am. The room is large and airy and furnished in turquoise and white. Fractured memories from the last night come slowly back to haunt me. The drinking, dancing with a random guy and then suddenly pulled by someone. I cringe inwardly. I don't remember coming here. I'm still wearing my clothes, thank God for that. I glance at the bedside table. There's glass of orange juice and 2 tablets on it.
Suddenly the door opens and Brian comes in. He's in black sweatpants, a black v-neck and his usual hairstyle.
"Good morning Alice. How are you feeling?" He asks casually.
"Better than I deserve." I mumble.
He removes the curtains and the faint sunlight falls on my face.
"How did I get here?" I ask.
"You got drunk. You were lucky because I was there too. I brought you here." He says sitting in front of me.
"What about Angie?" I ask.
"She's at home. I had asked Matt to drop her." He says.
I rub my face and my head is pounding like hell.
"Here, take them." He says handing me the tablets and juice.
I take the medicines and finish my juice.
"You must be hungry." He said as he stood up.
I get up too and find him staring at me. Why does he keep on doing that??
"Do you always dance with strangers?" He asks out of the blue.
"What?" I ask.
"You were dancing with a guy last night. Angie told me you guys had met in the club. So, you do that?" He asks.
"No, I.....I don't usually go to clubs. We just met and.........." What am I supposed to say??
"Anyways, you should call Angie. She must be worried." He says and goes out of the room.
I find my phone under the pillow. I call Angie and she picks up after 3 rings.
"Hey girl." She says.
"Don't hey me. How could you let him take me away?" I whisper.
"What? I thought he was your boyfriend." She says calmly.
"Boyfriend? My foot!" I curse.
"Why? What happened?" Angie asked concerned.
"Nothing happened. I just didn't expect to wake up in his bed." I said.
"In his bed?" Angie asked.
"I was sleeping like a dead person. When I woke up this morning, I got really freaked out. But then he came in and gave me medicines." I say.
"So you're fine now. I have something to say to you." Angie said excitedly.
"I don't wanna hear now. I'm coming home." I say and hang up.
"You're going now?" I turn back and see him standing in the doorway.
"Yeah......I have some work." I say nervously.
"But it's only 8:30." He says.
"Only 8:30?" I ask and he nods.
"Breakfast is ready. You wanna have it now?" He asks.
"Sure." I mumble and follow him downstairs.
After breakfast, he says he wants to talk. So we sit on the couch and he leans forward a bit.
"Alice, I really like you. And I don't think I'll be able to handle it if another person leaves me all alone." He says and I swallow hard.
"What exactly do you wanna say?" I ask.
"All I want is you to be honest with me." He says.
"Well, I don't lie. At least not to the people I know." I say and he looks at me intently.
"I don't really like it when people lie to me." He says coldly.
"Don't worry. I won't lie to you. Or anyone else." I said.
"I hope so. I was thinking about you after you left yesterday." He says.
"What were you thinking?" I ask curiously.
"I was thinking about rectifying the situation." He says.
"What situation?" I ask confused.
"Your situation." He says and I flush. He's talking about my situation.
"Oh....." I whisper.
"Only if you want it." He says quickly.
"Now?" I ask surprised.
"Not now. Tonight." He says.
"I don't know what to say." I say.
"I don't wanna push you with this. It's completely your decision." He says. He does care about me, I guess. He's asking for my opinion. What should I say?
"I need some time to think." I say and he smiles.
"I'm glad you told me." He says.
"Can I go home now?" I ask.
"Sure." He says and takes my hand.
He drives me back home. As soon as I get into my apartment, Angie comes running towards me.
"You won't believe what happened last night." Angie says with a big smile.
"What?" I ask. And she tells me the whole situation.
"I'm so happy!" She says and hugs me tightly.
"I had a really awkward morning today." I say as we sit on the couch.
"Ah, tell me." Angie says. And like a kid, I tell her everything.
"Tonight?" Angie asks and I nod my head.
"What did you say?" She asks.
"I need time." I say.
"You're right." Angie says.
"Don't you think we're moving way too fast?" I ask Angie.
"You're kind of right. I mean you became his girlfriend.........the day before yesterday, I guess." Angie says.
"I'm scared." I say.
"Why?" Angie asks.
"I don't want this to happen now. I need to know him." I said.
"Then tell him." Angie said.
"I want to. But every time I see him, I seem to lose my voice." I say.
"Then text him." Angie said. Why didn't I think of it?
"You're right. I should tell him." I said and went to my room.
I took my phone and went to the messaging option and sent him a text saying:
I don't wanna do it yet. I wanna know more about you. And I suppose you would also like to know more about me. So.... my answer is no........for now.
Alice:)
I hit the send button and stared at my phone for a while. Two minutes later I got a text from him, saying:
Alice, thanks for letting me know what you feel. But still, are we meeting tonight, for dinner??
I smile at this reply. I sent him another text, which said:
I'd love to go out with you:)
A minute later, I got his reply.
Great! I'll pick you up @ 7. See ya.
Dinner with him, tonight at 7. Angie, where are you!!!???
