Save Me.

Chapter Six.

"Stop fucking cheating, you asshole!" I yelled at Brian, trying in desperation to dodge a red turtle on Mario Kart.

"It's not cheating, you just suck!" He yelled back. I groaned when the music went off, signifying he had gotten first place. I placed fifth. "At least you aren't Johnny, he's in 11th."

"Shut up, guys. I didn't even wanna play this game," Johnny frowned.

"Poor Johnny, it's okay," I cooed, pinching his cheeks in amusement. He pouted, swatting my hands away.

It had been over a month since the trip to the hospital. My ribs were, for the most part, healed at this point, which was good. What Jimmy had said to me at the hospital still had me thinking.

I knew that they all liked me, which I was thankful for. But I still felt bad for being here. I knew they would get annoyed and one day I would have to leave. But no matter how much I think that, Zacky continues to tell me that they all don't mind.

Speaking of Zacky, things were starting to get a bit... Weird. It's not that we were awkward around each other or anything. Far from that. I wasn't sure what was going on. All I knew was that I was always happy when he was around, and I loved talking to him.

I knew in the back of my mind I was beginning to grow feelings for him. I was just worried. Things would never work out anyways. He was perfect in his own way. And I was just... Not.

"I'm so bored," Jimmy whined for the thousandth time. I swear he had said that same sentence in every single room of the house. And trust me, there were a lot of rooms. "Can we like, drink or something?! I haven't alcohol in forever!"

"Jimmy, you got fucking wasted two days ago," I laughed. He gave me a look, somewhere betweenyour point? and I don't give a shit. "Look, if you go out and buy some alcohol we can drink together. Deal?"

I don't think Jimmy could get any happier than he did. He jumped up, grabbed his keys from the kitchen table and ran out of the house, I'm pretty sure without shoes on.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked Johnny and Brian a few minutes later. It was almost seven at night, and I hadn't seen anyone else in the past two hours. Then again, we had been playing video games the entire time.

"The girls went shopping, Matt's watching some game and I'm not sure where Zacky went," Brian replied.

"Right here!" That was the only thing I heard before I saw Zacky almost fly through the air and onto the couch next to me. I felt something in the pit of my stomach and it scared me a bit. "Where'd Jimmy go?"

"He went to go get booze," I laughed. "As if he didn't get wasted enough the other night."

"You shouldn't be talking, missy. You were in that same boat," he laughed at me. I could feel my cheeks turning red.

After a few moments I heard the door open. "Guess who's back?" Jimmy sang, alcohol in hand. The girls followed in close behind him, and Matt joined in a little while later.

I hoped that this alcohol will get my mind off things.

I have to be honest, we had drank a lot. Almost everyone had made it to their rooms, except for Brian, who had passed out on the living room floor. The only ones still up were Val and I, since we drank somewhat less than everyone else.

"Val, can I ask you something?" I asked. We were in my room, which I was thankful for. More privacy.

"Yeah Em, what is it?" She replied.

I hesitated a bit with the question. What if she told someone? "What uh.. What's the best way to tell someone you like them?"

"Zacky? Oh please, he's simple. Just tell him," she laughed. "It won't get through to him any other way."

"How did you--"

"You don't hide it too well, hun," she smirked. "Too bad Zacky is too oblivious to notice."

I nodded. " Thanks, Val." She gave me a small hug, wishing me a goodnight before leaving for her and Matt's room. I got under the covers and tried to sleep, but not without someone calling my cell phone first. I didn't answer, but the person left a voicemail.

"Listen here, you little bitch. I know where you are. I will find you, mark my words. And you will be sorry. Sleep with one eye open, Emily. You can run, but you can't hide from daddy."
