I am typing away all the important information that is being exchanged in this hall room. I must say, the room is packed – there isn’t any space for even a needle. Everyone is quiet, anxiously waiting for the people involved to talk about their point-of-view of this case. It is evident that the people present are split into two major parties, those who think that Arin is an innocent man and those who think that he is guilty.

You want to ask me about my verdict? Well, I can’t say much. I am simply a journalist, trying to write down any valid information which will help me write a better article for tomorrow’s headline in the newspaper. I do not even consider my opinion, all I care about is the juicy stuff that is coming out from this court room.
And up till now, I can tell that tomorrow there will be a lot of people at the newsstand waiting to grab the newspaper for this particular headline.


Arin POV

Wow. Who would have thought that I will be spending my birthday in a court room, waiting for my verdict? The honest truth is, that at first I wasn’t the slightest scared or anxious about the verdict since I know where I stand, I know what I did and I am an innocent man. But now, after everyone having to say their say and some had twisted their words into hurtful lies, I am starting to get a bit worried.
Only couple of people are left to take their stand and give their story. I look around and see everyone staring at me, some glaring angry expressions while my family are together keeping their hopes up.
“Mr. Haner, please take your stand” I hear them say out loud.
I turn around, my hands hurting because of the handcuffs to look at my friend, my band-mate, my brother from another mother. Brian says his oath to say the truth and nothing but the truth and sits down in the opposite direction of me. Our eyes locked immediately but I quickly turn away to look at my lawyer.
I just want this to be over and done with.

Three hours have passed and now I am waiting here to hear the verdict. My future depends on this one sentence, just one simple sentence. If I am found guilty I am locked in a cell for pretty much my whole life. If I am found innocent, I am a free man who will continue do what I know best – playing drums with my brothers. But I will do another thing.
Avenge those who are making my birthday a miserable hell.

“You got this Arin, I know it!!” Zacky brings me back to my senses. The rest of the guys are next to him, all agreeing with him.
“I don’t know! Some of them twisted everything and damn, they can really work as actors cos for sure they have some outstanding acting skills!” I try to humour in this serious situation.
“Listen mate, I know you must be a bit nervous, but trust me, you got this. We got this! But whatever happens, we’re by your side! I know you know that, but I wanted to say it out loud” Matt continues, clapping my shoulder.

“All rise!”
We all stand up as the guys go back to their places. I can see the paper of the verdict going around. I can’t look anywhere else but at that one white, neatly-folded paper.
I look at the judge but then I look down, clenching my hands together, too scared to look up.
I start to get dizzy and I cannot hear everything. All I can hear is mumbling.
“ujhwnaw jhdsjkhfamlj…….Arin Ilejay is found innocent. You’re free to go.”

Huh?!
The lawyer claps my back as he starts shouting with joy. I look upwards and try to make sense out of the situation.
“I’m innocent?!” I ask in stupidity.
“Of course you are! Keep this up and they might re-think that verdict again! You’re free to go!!” he gives me a manly hug.
I can’t believe this right now! Finally, I’m free to go. Spending 23 days in hell were more than enough. I want to get back to my own normal life.

But I will get my revenge. One way or another, I will.
YOU will pay for that.
You will.
I solemnly swear.

So, I'm back! :D My second fan-fic! :)
Sorry it's been a long while, but I'm being busy and I had a writer's block! Until recently that is ;)

So I decided to write this fan-fic about Arin...something completely different than my other fan fic (Dancing Girl).. and I'm definitely up for the challenge! :D I hope you'll like it!! Get ready for some twists, action and some romance and smut for sure will not be missing ;)
