Chapter 21
Unknown POV
It was so good to get out and be away from everything. I had just arrived at the hotel 30 minutes ago. I had unpacked and laid back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. My mom wanted me to spend Thanksgiving with her but I told her I couldn't and had some things to take care of for my job.
Which was true...sort of. Eh she'll get over it. I was here on business but I was also here for something else. There was some unanswered questions I needed answered and I will get to the bottom of this.
I sighed and got off the bed. I was wearing denim shorts and a light blue v-neck shirt. I had slipped-on checkered vans that completed my casual wear. The hotel room I was in was pretty big. Had no idea where I decided on this big of a room.
As I walked towards the door, I opened it and poked my head out. Quickly, I walked out the door but not before bumping into someone. “Hey watch where you're going!” I heard someone say.
I looked up and saw that it was a blonde chick who was a little shorter than me. I was 5'4” so she had to be maybe 5'3”.
“Sorry about that.” I mumbled before hurrying away to get to the elevators. I was about to turn the corner when I noticed a guy standing there and looking from behind it. Like he was spying on someone.
“Babe let's go!” I heard the same blonde yell at the person. The guy stood there for another minute before quickly going to blondie.
I tried to take one good look at him when he had caught up and looked back near my direction. My eyes grew wide seeing who it was. I shook my head and decided to check out who this guy was spying on.
The person he was looking at seemed awfully familiar. She was 5'2”, had medium length black hair, and has an average body type.
When she looked behind her, I hide behind the corner. She shrugged her shoulders and walked off. I was almost in tears finding out who is was. I wiped them away and headed over to the elevators.
Getting in, I hit the button and waited. Soon it dinged and the doors opened. I was now in the lobby. I wanted to go grab grab a snack so this was a good opportunity to do so while I was in town.
The only places that were open were a few gas stations and some fast food places. I decided to hit up In N' Out. Haven't ate there in a long time since I've moved. I walked in and stood in line.
It was a little quiet since there wasn't a lot of people there. Most likely spending Thanksgiving with their families. There were a few families in the place too. Brought a smile to my face every time I see them. Made me miss my own family.
I had ordered a double cheese burger with fries and a Dr. Pepper. I stood off to the side and waited. Once my number called, I went to get my food when I suddenly bumped into someone. I fell to the floor with an 'Oomph!' sound. A had was stretched out to me.
“Hey, sorry about that.” The voice said. It sounded awfully familiar. I took the hand and got pulled up. “It's alright, I'm clumsy sometimes.” I said. Once we were situated, we finally looked into each other's eyes. I gasped and I noticed that it seemed his breath got caught in his throat. “Oh my god, is it really you?” He said.
I smiled and nervously bit my lip. “Yes...it is me. Hey Arin, long time no see.” I quickly went to get my food but was stopped by Arin when he took it from me. “Here, come sit with me. I want to know what's been going on in your life.” He said with a smile. I nodded and followed him to the table.
We both sat down and started talking as well as eating our own food. I told him all about where I had moved and that I was working traveling around for my job. He had told me he was in a popular band and is married to the girl of his dreams.
That brought a big smile to my face. I'm glad someone is happy with their life. Now if only I can find out what's going on with the one person I wanted to see and hear from...

Sorry for this being a fairly short chapter. But hey, I'm back to writing again! Wanted to update due to the fact that well...Arin's no longer in the band. It brought me to tears finding that out. Was hoping he would stay with them forever. He will still be in this story as well as the sequel. He'll definitely be the main focus in that one with appearances from Renae and Emilia.
Now for the questions, who is this unknown mystery person? and what is their role in this story as of right now? Stay tuned for more...
