“Don't worry babe, you go and spend time with your family. I know your grandma would love to see you.”

He sighed and nodded as he understood what I was saying but still looked like he was trying to figure it out even more. We drove silently to his parent's house and got out. His dad was standing in the door way with the door opened as we arrived in front of the house. Zacky gave him a quick hug and went inside. I walked over to him and shook his hand when he stuck his hand out.

“Hi I'm James, Zack's dad. You must be Renae.” He said with a smile.

I smiled back and nodded. “Nice to meet you.”

I returned the hug and she had all of us sit down at the table. We had some turkey, ravioli, gravy, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie for dessert. We were eating quietly, not saying much. “Alright honey, we're ready to go. Renae, it was great meeting you. Sorry it was somewhat short.” She walked over and gave me a hug. “Oh it's alright. Things happen and I know making sure family's okay is way more important.” I smiled.

She nodded as her and Zacky carried a few bags to their car. James came over and gave me a hug as well. “No worries. Zack's birthday's coming up so you'll get to meet the rest of the family.” He let go and went out the house to the car making sure they got everything.

I soon followed and walked out. Zacky stood with his mom and dad next to their car. I walked over to his car and leaned against it. It was a nice night out and maybe a stroll through the beach tomorrow would help keep my mind off of some things.

Zacky walked over and gave me a kiss. “I'll drop you off back at the hotel.”

I nodded and we both got in. We waved goodbye to his parents and headed back to the hotel. Once we arrived, he stopped the car and looked over at me. “You sure you don't want to come?”

“That would be wonderful, Zacky. When that day comes...I-I hope to someday marry you as well.” I said. I took his face in my hand and slowly turned it so he was looking at me.
