And All Things Will End

Kayla's POV

"I'll fucking kill you bitch!!"
I could hear Ashlee's screams as I pushed my way through the crowd of pedestrians making their way to their homes.

My shoes tapped loudly on the pavement as I ran with tears streaming down my cheeks. This wasn't my first encounter with the Queen B.

I was new in town and had only just settled into my dorm at the Campus and had already managed to make enemies at school.
The girls had stolen clothes from my room and thrown them into dumpsters and taken my lap top to sell to one of the jocks.

I had bumped into the three slender girls earlier in the day on my way down the stairs to the science rooms they blocked the exit and Ashlee had pushed me down the last step cackling loudly as she poured her can of lemonade on my head,
"ugh!!! The sewer rat dripped some on my chu chus!" She wailed.
Other two goons had grabbed my arms and dragged me to their leader who swiftly punched me in the jaw with a loud crack, no one stopped to help me, they just looked the other way and carried on walking to their classes.
"That'l teach you whose boss around here rat."

No no way was I going to have some princy bitch treat me
like this on my first day here. I looked up to her with watery eyes and a bruising cheek and spat right in her caked face!

Boy oh boy she didn't like that, I wriggled out of their arms and ran out of the hall, quickly throwing my book bag which must have weighed at least 50kgs over my
shoulder and took off down the street.

I looked back to see Ashlee shove an elderly man out of her way as her two gronies Becca and Mary followed along behind her.
"you can't fucking hide slut!" She shrieked.

I was beginning to panic, there was no where to run, no where to hide.
Street lights began to illuminate the area as a orangey pink glow filled the sky.
They were getting closer and closer, I took a right down a long road and picked up the pace.
Suddenly I remembered a flyer that I had picked up earlier in class.

There was a house around here looking for a new roommate, god knows I won't be able to live in the dorms anymore with these three threatening my life like this. I pulled the flyer from my book bag and looked up the address on my phone.

"Thank god" I huffed as I heard the girls pace slowing, more like thank fuck my mother made me run cross country every other weekend or I'd be a dead girl.
I peered around the corner of a brick wall and didn't see the nasty a holes anywhere.

I wiped the tear marks from my cheeks with the sleve of my Huntington College jumper as I walked up three concrete steps to an old shabby looking house.

The house was grey with white old style window sills, the kind that swirled around the edges in a rustic fashion.
There wasn't much of a garden out the front, just some dead bushes and a tall thin tree with as few as four leaves dangling from tired looking branches.

The decking under my feet creaked as I made my way to the front door.
I paused before knocking going through my options one more time. The rent here would be nearly three quarters of the money it get weekly from my parents but what choice do I have.
Go back to campus and be killed, or live with three strangers who might kill me? Oh the decisions...

i decided a chance of death was better than certain death on campus by means of bitchy face and her looser friends.
I tapped sharply on the front door three times, I waited for a few seconds and heard a loud thumping heading in my direction from inside the house.
