Candy's POV 8:00am
I was awoken by the bus hitting a bump. I decided to brush it off and try to go back to sleep but only to be waken back up by the bus hitting another bump. I groaned and dragged myself out of my bunk. I stretched and realized mostly eveyone was awake already so I decided to get a shower to get it done and over with before tonight. I grabbed my clothes for tonight and made my way to our very small bathroom and got in the shower. I quickly did the job of getting myself cleaned and got out and got dressed.( www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=14299...) After I was done getting dressed I blow dryed my hair letting my long, red hair fall down in soft waves. Next, I did my makeup. I put on some eyeliner and mascara topping it off with bright, red lipstick. I smiled at my finished look and made my way out of the bathroom.
"Finally," Michelle groaned pushing past me into the bathroom. I raised my eyes at Brian as he sat down on the couch.
"Let's just say Michelle and I thought it was a good idea to have some shots before bed last night." Brian said streching his arms.
"Ah" I said nodding walking past him into the kitchen area. I was making coffee when Zack came in.
"Morning Shrimp." He said with a smile standing next to me with his coffee.
"Hey." I said taking a sip of mine. I looked him over. He was already showered and in a pair of black shorts and he was wearing a pantera t-shirt that he had cut off the sleaves, showing his tattooed arms.
"Is that what you're wearing on stage tonight?" he asked setting his mug in the sink. I looked down at my black converse and back at him.
"Yeah, why?" I asked sitting down at the table
"I don't know, I just figured you were going to dress up. It IS Halloween you know." He said
"Jesus Christ I completly forgot!" I yelled with my hand on my head. "Are you dressing up?" I asked
He nodded. "Yeah and we're going to a club after the show so eveyone else is dressing up."
"Dammit." I mumbled "I need a costume." I said trying to think of every possible last minute costume ideas.
"I'm sure you'll be fine. You don't HAVE to dress up. Don't stress about it." He said as I stood up setting my mug in the sink.
"I know I don't have too, but I LOVE Halloween. I can't beleive I forgot." I said
"Look, why don't you go talk the other girls and see if they have something. I'm sure Leana has fifty different costumes in her suitcase." He said with a smile. Making me laugh knowing he was probably right. I turned to go talk to Leana. I looked around for her to see she was up front with Jimmy.
"Hey, Cand's!" Jimmy said a little too loud but I smiled and said "Hey" Just as loud back to him. That caused both Leana and Jimmy to laugh.
"What's up, Candy?" Leana asked calming down from her laugh.
"Yeah, so I'm a complete goof and forgot that Halloween was even in this month and I was wondering if you have an extra costume?" I asked
"Yeah! yeah, follow me." She said with a huge smile on her face. I smiled back as I followed her to her and Jimmy's bunk. She pulled down her suitcase and started digging through it.
"So, I'm being a butterfly this year. Well, a sexy butterfly." She said with a wink as she continued to rummage through her suitcase.
"I bet Jimmy can't wait to see that." I said laughing as her face turned beat red.
"Well anyway, I have the perfect costume for you." She said holding up the costume.
"Little Red Riding Hood." I said with a laugh. "Seems fitting." I said pointing to my hair.
"That's why it's perfect!" She said handing it to me.
"I love it and will deffinatley wear it tonight for the club..." I trailed looking at the short material.
"Say no more." She said handing me a pair of cat ears.
"Just wear those on stage so you don't feel left out with the guys and than change beofre we go go the club." She said closing her suitcase and zipping it back up.
"This is why I love you!" I said hugging her "I love you too AND you're welcome." She said pulling away. I smiled at her as she turned away to go talk to Jimmy. I threw the costume and cat ears in my bunk and grabbed my phone and decided to go hang with Val and Michelle in the back room.
"Hey Chicas." I said plopping down next to the girls. They said their "Hellos" as the continued to watch the TV.
"what are you guys watching?" I asked flipping my phone open to see I have a few missed calls.
"16 and pregnaunt." Val said. I snorted.
"Why?" I asked raising my eyes at the two twenty four year olds.
"Shut up." Val said pushing my shoulder lightly causing me to laugh.
"Whatever, what are your guy's costumes for tonight?" I asked.
"I'm being a tiger and Val is being Alice in Wonderland." Michelle answered for both of them. Her eyes glued to the TV.
"What are you being?" Val asked looking over at me.
"Well i'm just going to wear cat ears on stage. I think im just going to put some whiskers on my face and not do too much since we're going to be running around and stuff. Then for the club Leana gave me a Little Red Riding Hood costume." I said
"Ha that's funny cause you have red hair." Michelle said finally taking her eyes of the TV. I just looked at her and threw my pillow at her.
"Dork." I said as she caught the pillow. We were innterupted by Matt walking in.
"We're here." He said and than turned and walked back out. I looked out the window to see the bus had indeed stopped moving. I checked the time on my phone, ignoring the missed calls, and saw that it was 9:30am. I got off the bus with the rest of the girls to be greeted with the Las Vegas sun beating down on me.
"Damn." I said pulling my sunglasses from my head to sheild my eyes.
"You're telling me." A very sweaty Jason Berry said carrying some equitment inside the venue. I can honestly say that I was already getting pumped for this show.
By the time we all got the equitment inside and out manager, Nick, showed up it was around 2:30pm. The show started at 5:00 so the band and the rest of the girls decided to go for a stroll through Las Vegas.
"It's hot." Michelle complained after we had been walking for less then five minutes.
"It's just about the same as it is in Huntington." Matt said holding Val's hand.
"It's hot there too!" Michelle said tying her flannel around her waist. I chuckled at my best friend as I walked beside Val and Matt.
"So how's Zack?" Val asked looking at me through her sunglasses. I glanced up towards him as he was walking ahead of us with Jonny and Jimmy.
"He's good." I said with a nod
"I think what I meant to say is how are you with Zacky." she said.
"I don't really know. My mind is like a big blob and I try to sort things out and I just can't." I said sipping my bottled water.
Valary nodded. "I saw you two last night. When you two were in the back room. How did that feel?" She asked.
"It felt...right." I said looking over at her. I watched s smile crept on her face and she looked up at Matt and he smiled too.
"Called it." Matt said fist bumping Valary with their free hands. I chuckled at the couple as we continued to walk.
4:45pm
"FIFTEEN MINUTES TILL SHOWTIME!" One of the stage crew yelled. I was currently in panic mode as I tried to draw a cat nose and whiskers on my face. I let out a frustrated groan as I couldn't get the whiskers even on both sides.
"Shrimp? You almost ready?" I heard Zack ask from the other side of the bathroom door. I opened the door to see Zack in his costume. He was dressed like a doctor, the funny part being the fact that his tag said "Gynocologist specialtist"
I snorted "Nice costume." I said gesturing to the tag. He gave me a toothy smile. "Thanks. You're whiskers are not even." he pointed out and I rolled my eyes.
"I can't get them even." I said looking back into the mirror.
"Here." He said taking my eyeliner pencil and a cloth wiping the whiskers I had drawn off. He quickly drew some whiskers on my face. "There. Now we have to go!" he said throwing the pencil on the sink and grabbing my hand leading us back stage.
"You got two minutes." the stage worker said as I quickly put my ear things in and grabbed my microphone.
"Do I look stupid?" I asked Zack adjusting my whiskers on my head. He pulled his guitar over his head and tapped my nose with his finger.
"You look adorable." He said just as we were about to walk on stage.
Brian and Matt were on the whole other side of the stage. The opening song was 'Almost Easy' and the idea was to have Brian and Zack walk out before the lights turned on and than once they started to play, Matt and I walked on. I watched as one of the stage crew counted us down and as soon as they said '1' Zack and Brian walked on stage. I could see Jimmy sitting at his drum set with a scary mask on his face. I waited for the guys to start and I set my aviators over my eyes and as soon as they started Matt and I walked on stage.
"Show Time." I whispered to myself as I faced the screaming crowd.
(If you guys are wondering about how the whole Matt and Candy singing: The way I picture it is that whenever a part in the song is screaming, that's Matt. Then Matt and Candy just switch rolls when it comese to singing normally. Sorry if that doesn't make sense. Picture it the way you want. c: )
