Two Vibrant Hearts

I woke up to bright light and soft murmurs. I stretched out my arms before wiping at my eyes and opening them. The first thing I noticed was that Matt was holding me tightly by the waist and his head was in my neck. I raised my eyebrow and looked up around the room to see everyone else staring at me like I was God or something.

“What?” I asked, confused. They all stared, shocked.

“How did you get Matt to show feelings?” Brian asked, over exaggerating his horror. I raised both my eyebrows and glanced at all of them. They all looked scared and confused.

“Um… I’m a girl?” I replied, utterly confused by why they were all surprised at Matt cuddling me.

“He’s brought home a pretty good amount of girls home before, Kid,” Zach started, his voice low. “But they were all hit-and-ditch.”

“We had no idea Matt could actually have feelings for another human being.” Johnny finished, giving me a slight smile. “You must be pretty damn special, Kid.”

“Well, that’s cool,” I replied sarcastically as I looked down at my waist. Subconsciously Matt tightened his grip and I lost my breath. “But how the hell do I get out of his grip?”

“We actually have an idea,” Jimmy spoke up, giving a devious smile. He walked out of the room for a second before coming back with my skinny jeans from yesterday. Everyone smiled wickedly and I mimicked them.

“What do I have to do?” I asked, smirking.

I scooted myself down a little so I was eye-to-eye with the still sleeping Matt. I moved up a little and brought my mouth to his neck. I heard snickers come from the other guys as they waited in anticipation for our plan to start. I smiled before gently kissing Matt’s neck. His grip suddenly loosened and I smiled. I bit his neck and he let out a soft moan. The boys held themselves from laughing as Jimmy picked me up from my spot and set me on the other side of Matt. Brian slid into my place and kept himself from laughing as Matt’s arms wrapped around him. I kissed Matt’s neck again before standing up shakily and switching from the sweats to skinny jeans. Matt rolled his back and suddenly moved his head to Brian’s neck. He kissed Brian’s neck and we all had to hold ourselves from dying of laughter. Jimmy pulled me onto his back and we stared in anticipation. Matt bit Brian’s neck and Brian laughed a little.

“Oh yeah baby, right there.” He moaned jokingly, causing all of us to let out a small laugh. Matt’s eyes shot open and he flew a few feet from Brian.

“What the fuck!” He yelled angrily. We all burst out laughing and Jimmy bolted towards the door with everyone following.

“Hurry, we have to get out of here before he gets his pants on and follows us!” Jimmy yelled between his laughs. Our laughter never ceased as Jimmy and Johnny jumped into the backseat of Brian’s car with me as Zach and Brian got up front. Brian started his car and quickly drove away. I looked out the back to see Matt storming out of his house with his shirt in his hands.

“Holy shit he gets changed fast.” I stated, staring out the back. Everyone laughed and looked at me in adoration. I blushed and looked down. “What?”

“You are cute as fuck.” Johnny said bluntly. I smiled and blushed even more before getting a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror.

“Holy mother of God I look like hell!” I screamed in shock. They all laughed again and Zach handed me a tissue and brush. I gave him a look and he pointed at Brian, mouthing ‘He’s a pussy’. I let out a laugh and Brian looked at me from the rearview mirror, his eyebrow raised. I smiled at him before brushing my hair and wiping off the make-up from last night. After I finished I handed the brush back to Zach and looked at me. “So where are we going?”

“Anywhere that Matt is not.” Brian replied, laughing. I smiled and was about to reply when I noticed a similar black BMW driving next to us on the highway. I pointed and everyone looked. We all knew it was Matt, so we burst out laughing before Brian took a quick turn into an exit, which got us away from Matt. I high fived Brian and he smiled at me. “It’s about noon; you guys wanna go get some lunch?” We all nodded and he made another turn towards what I thought was the mall. I looked out the window in awe as we passed all the shops, trying to memorize where they were. I heard Johnny chuckle and I looked at him and realized I was laying myself across his lap to see out the window. I smiled a little and he gave me a look.

“You must be new here.” He mused. I nodded and he smiled.

“Just moved in two weeks ago. Emma has been here before so she’s been getting all the groceries and stuff.” I explained, shrugging. Johnny smiled and began pointing out all the stores as we passed by. A few minutes later we turned into a diner and all got out. We were seated and a waitress came up to order our drinks. She looked at me and I smiled, “Can I get a beer?”

“We don’t serve drinks to minors, sorry.” She replied apathetically. I scowled and pulled out my ID and gave it to her. She blushed and quietly apologized before scurrying off. I growled and all the guys laughed at me.

“I am sick of this town already.” I grumbled. Zach and Brian, who were sitting on each side of me, rubbed my back and laughed.

“Well you do look only eighteen at best.” Johnny chuckled. I raised my eyebrows and smirked.

“I’m the same height as you. Should you really be talking?” I retorted. Johnny scowled and laughter erupted again. We all made small talk until our drinks came out, in which we then ordered our food. I stayed silent for most of the time, just staring in awe at all of them. I could not believe I was surrounded by 4/5 of Avenged Sevenfold; and I couldn’t believe that they all liked me. I was absentmindedly staring at Brian while I was thinking this, and he noticed.

“Do I have something on my face or am I just too sexy to ignore?” He asked, smirking. I pursed my lips, trying not to smile. I looked back at everyone and they were all staring at me, smiling.

“You all are too sexy to ignore.” I answered, blushing a little. “I’m seriously having troubles understanding that this is really happening. That I’m hanging out with A7X and they all think I’m cute. In my high school, all the guys did was poke me with a stick to see if I bit.” That caused all of them to laugh and Zach wrapped his arm around my neck. My breathing stopped and I stared at him. He smiled kindly and pulled me into a hug.

“I’ve only known you for a day and I feel like you’re my sister.” He whispered. I nodded in agreement and he smiled. He pulled away and smiled widely. “Give me your phone.” I handed him my phone and he added himself into my contacts. He handed it to Johnny, who did the same. As they passed the phone around, Zach stared at me. “So now, if you’re having any problems, you can always call one of us.” I smiled and nodded. Brian handed me back my phone and I looked at what they put themselves in as: Zacky, Johnny, Jimbo, and…

“Sex God? Really Bri?” I asked, giving him a look. He smiled smugly at me and I hugged him. He rubbed my back and laughed. I sighed and put my phone in my pocket. “I guess I’ll leave it at that.”
“You’re leaving it at that because you know it’s true.” Brian interjected, winking at me. Our food came and we all shoved it down our throats, obviously very hungry. We paid and walked out, making future plans for the day. I was holding on to Jimmy’s arm as we went to the car, since I was still limping. As we walked I noticed a black BMW parked off to the side. I was about to tell Jimmy when suddenly I was airborne and thrown over a strong shoulder. I screamed and all the guys looked back. Matt began jogging and I started feeling sick.

“Matt, I just ate, slow the hell down or you’re going to have a cheeseburger on the back of your shirt.” I moaned, laying limply across Matt’s shoulder. He laughed but kept jogging. I was about to question why when I realized Zacky and Jimmy were running after us. I stared at them helplessly until a door opened and Matt threw me into the passenger seat before sliding himself over the front of the car and jumping into the driver’s seat. He locked the door and started the car, laughing. He drove off and I looked out the side mirror to see Zack and Jimmy heaving and flipping Matt off. I looked back at Matt, and he was staring at me. I smiled and he smiled back. “So how’d you find where we were?”

“Just luck.” Matt replied, smiling. He drove onto the highway, and I noticed Brian was right behind us. He gave me a call me sign and I took out my phone. I called up Zach and watched the back mirror as I waited for him to answer.

“Yes?” I asked as Zach answered. He smiled and waved at me.

“You guys wanna get shitfaced tonight?” He asked, smiling widely. I glanced back at Matt before looking back at the mirror.

“Sure.” I answered simply.

“Sweet. Have Matt follow us.” Zach replied before hanging up. I smiled and looked at Matt. He glanced at me and gave me a questioning look.

“Follow Bri.” I instructed. Matt chuckled and looked at me.

“We’re getting shitfaced, aren’t we?” He questioned, his dimples fully shown. I lost my breath but nodded. He smiled and took one hand off the wheel to grab mine. It was quiet for a few minutes as he slowed down and let Bri get ahead of us, caressing my hand the whole time. I sat and stared at him in awe until he sighed and laughed, suddenly blushing. “Please tell me it was you who kissed my neck this morning.” I laughed and he blushed more. “I mean, I love Bri and all, but if he kissed my neck I don’t think I’d be able to look at him the same.”

“Yeah, Matt. It was me.” I chuckled, squeezing his hand. He smiled and looked at me, happiness in his eyes.

“Good.” He replied simply. I sighed happily and watched as we took a turn and entered a neon bar. My eyes widened a little and Matt laughed. He squeezed my hand and looked at me. “You ready?” I nodded and he turned off the car. He got out and helped me, keeping his arm around my waist as he led me to the bar.
