Two Beating Hearts

**Brian's POV**

'I can't believe I'm going to be a dad!' I internally scream with joy. 'Wait...am I going to be a dad? What if the baby is only Meaghan and Zacky's...or mine and Meaghan's?' I hope that it's all of ours, but who knows for sure. I mean, I'll love the baby regardless but now I have this gnawing doubt in the back of my head.

I grab my guitar and softly begin to pick a soothing melody but it's doing absolutely nothing to calm me down. "Ughhh" I groan and lay my head in my hands. Maybe I am just being paranoid.. Maybe everything will work out just the way we have planned.. Maybe I'm slowly turning into a neurotic mess that Zacky won't love anymore! "Fuck" I mumble to myself and shake it off.

I decide to start cooking dinner, to celebrate the news, and try desperately to distract myself from my negative thoughts. I finish making Zacky's favorite pizza from scratch, and open my mouth to call him and Meaghan downstairs to eat, but another pessimistic thought stops me.

What have they been doing upstairs for the last hour?

**Meaghan's POV**

When Zacky says that he wants me to stay here and help him with the baby, I can't help but picture us choosing baby names, and imagining just how the nursery will look. "OMG I love you Zacky" I squeak and wrap my arms around him.

He let's out an adorable chuckle and say, "You're welcome". Huh? That's not exactly the answer I was hoping for.

I crawl over and straddle his lap and lay my arms on top of his shoulders. His stunning green eyes meet mine and I can't help but admit my true feelings. "I'm in love with you Zack....do you love me too?" I ask and he takes a nervous gulp.

Please tell me, Zacky....I need to know.
