**Barbara Rizzo's POV**

I arrive at the hospital where my daughter was taken and rush towards her room only to be horrified at the sight when I finally reach her door. Some filthy man has his lips locked onto her's, as Tempest and another social reject cheer them on. The only sensible one in the room is the one rolling his green eyes at them.

"Kaylyn?!" I shout and the man finally pulls away from my daughter.

"Hi mom" Kaylyn replies shyly as her cheeks flame up in embarrassment. Damn right you should be embarrassed! Have some class Kaylyn Marie!

I plaster on a fake smile as I make my way into the room, "Who are these obscenely clad gentlemen in your room, dear?" I question as my blood begins to boil. God please don't let her be dating one of these losers!

"You remember Tempest," She says in a shaky tone and I nod, of course I know Tempest, but I think she's nothing but trouble! "And this is Jimmy, Zacky, and my-my boyfriend, Brian...they are all in the band I work for." she finishes after pointing out each man for me. Wait...did she say BOYFRIEND?!?

The man she identified as her boyfriend stands up and extends a hand towards me, "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Rizzo." he says and I can't help but scoff under my breath at him.

"MOM!" Kaylyn shouts and I push past Brian, without so much as a word and wrap my arms around her. "I'm so glad you're ok baby. I've come to take you-" I start when Brian rudely interjects.

"You're not TAKING her anywhere..she's coming with me so I know she's safe" he argues and suddenly, I'm seeing red.

I stand up and poke a finger into his chest, "If it wasn't for you my daughter wouldn't be lying in a hospital bed with a bruised face and a concussion! So tell me again why I should let her anywhere near you!!!" I rage and Brian steps back. That's right, back down you worthless piece of shit! You don't deserve my daughter!

He pinches the bridge of his nose and clenches his jaw. Somebody has an anger issue! "I didn't lay a finger on your daughter, her piece of shit ex-boyfriend did." he states and I shake my head. He's lying...Alex would never do that to Kaylyn. They love each other!

"You're a liar!" I spit through gritted teeth and Kaylyn starts pulling out her IVs. "Where are you going??" I question and she glares at me.

"As far away from you as possible! ALEX DID THIS TO ME, NOT BRIAN!!!" she rages and I look at her in disbelief. Why is she lying for him? Did he threaten her?? Kaylyn notices my doubt and shoves me out of her room. "I don't want you, or Alex anywhere near me! You told him where I was, and he came looking for a fight. How could you do that to me?! You are just as much to blame as he is! I don't love Alex anymore..I'm in love with Brian, and if you can't accept that then this is goodbye!" She cries as Brian pulls her in for a hug.

"Kaylyn you are just confused. You're settling for-" I state before she glares in my direction.

"I'm settling?!? SETTLING?!? If you call being in love with someone who actually loves me back, settling, then sure...I'm settling! However, if you are implying at Brian is somehow less worth of my love than Alex because he isn't the son-in-law that you always dreamed of having, then get the fuck out and don't come back!" she screams and I stand there in shock for a few minutes before turning on my heels and exiting the hospital.

She'll realize one day...mother knows best!

**Kaylyn's POV**

I'm honestly mortified at my mother's actions. I can't even imagine what Brian must me thinking right about now and part of me is terrified to ask.

I bury my face into his chest and let out a quiet sob. "Shhh Riz, it will be ok" Zacky says and lays a comforting hand on my shoulder. Will it? Will it really be ok???

I sniffle back the tears and look up to face Brian but his eyes are fixated on the now empty doorway, "I want to leave..." I whisper and Tempe and Jimmy run to grab my personal belongings from the nurse.

I see Zacky look over at Brian and shake his head slightly before pulling me away from Brian and leading me back towards the bed. "I'm going for a smoke, I'll be right back" Brian says curtly and heads towards the exit.

My eyes fill up with tears and I lay my forehead against Zacky's shoulder. "It's not you that he's upset with.." Zacky whispers and gives me a sympathetic smile. "I think he's beating himself up for not being by your side when Alex found you. He probably thinks he could have changed this whole situation if he had been."

I lift my head and look into Zacky's hypnotizing green eyes. "But it's not his fault..." I choke out before the tears begin free falling down my cheeks.

"I know, Riz...I know"

Is he really going to smoke or is he going to chase her down and give her a piece of his mind?
