*Carry On*

**Kaylyn's POV**

I am in the middle of getting ready for my coming date with Jimmy when there is a knock at my door. Ha, date...that's rich! I should just call it what it is, a distraction booty call.

I look through the peep hole and my breath hitches in my throat. Brian is standing there in a black button down shirt, dark jeans and a fedora...damn he looks good! Ugh, stay strong Kaylyn!!

"Go away, Gates! I shouts through the door and slip into my matching lace bra and underwear set that I picked up while waiting for my flight to depart.

"Kaylyn please open up...Zacky wants us all to go out for dinner to sign your employment contract." Brian begs and I roll my eyes. Go figure he didn't come to apologize. I continue to get ready and ignore the attractive asshole outside when he begins speaking again. "Listen Kaylyn...I've been thinking."

"Save it Mr. Haner," I snap because I'm done with his excuses...I'll only wind up getting burned in the end if I don't distance myself now.

I hear him shuffle closer to the door, "Remember when you offered to help me? You said if I agreed to open up to you that you would open up to me....well,I think I've come to my decision" he states and I can't help but drop my new dress and pull the door open.

Brian's eyes grow wide in surprise as he takes in my nearly naked form. "Well?! What was it?!" I growl and he quickly steps inside and pushes the door closed behind him.

I tap my bare foot on the carpet and he makes an attempt to pull me closer but I side step out of his grasp. I am not in the mood to be yet another distraction in the 'Brian Haner Shit Show'.

Brian rubs his hands over his face, "I'm an asshole" he states and I can't help but laugh out loud.

"Oh please tell me something I didn't know!" I snip back bitterly but I instantly regret my words because I know that deep down he's not the person he wants me to believe he is. His mouth turns down into a frown and I step forward and place a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean that" I sigh and he waves me off.

"No, it's true. I have been a complete dickhead to you, because I am fighting to keep the walls up that I placed around my heart after Aubrey crushed me." he admits and I pull him gently over to the bed and sit him down.

"I'm not Aubrey..." I state and he looks up into my dark brown eyes, "..I don't know the whole story about what happened between you two but I'm hear to listen if you want to talk" I whisper and sit indian style on the mattress next to him.

His eyes rake over my body and I can't help but feel the familiar warmth growing in my body.Fuck, I bet he could make me cum without even laying a finger on me...

He pulls me onto his lap and I rest my hands on his shoulders, "You're beautiful" he whispers and leans in for a kiss but I quickly dodge his lips.

"..And you're trying to distract me so you don't have to talk about...her" I whisper and crawl off his lap.

He takes a deep breath and opens his mouth to speak, when suddenly, there is a knock on my hotel room door..

...Oh fuck, bad timing!
