*Carry On*

***Matt’s POV***

“You’ve been a great motherfucking crowd, Denver. We’ve got one last song your this evening. It’s about sex…murder…and sex after murder!” I scream into the microphone as the crowd goes wild. It is one the best show that we’ve had in a long time because not only is Gates on tonight, but he is having fun. I haven’t seen him goof around on stage like this in weeks, and honestly its nice to see. I guess we can attribute that to the little pregnant brunette bouncing on the side of the stage. She is good for him and I for one am glad she decided to come back. Rizzo is part of our family.

As we start A Little Piece of Heaven, I can see Gates and Johnny flipping each other off already. Oh, this is going to be good. The bass vs. guitar saga starts again. There is no doubt in my mind that it will carry on into the after party like it has before. That is if Gates doesn’t bolt with Rizzo as soon as he’s off the stage. You see, the guys and I pulled together and got them a room at the local resort for the night. Yeah, you try sleeping when Gates is making Riz scream in the back of the bus—it doesn’t happen. Jimmy is bad enough with the crazy shit he does with Tempest and since they are both back together, we thought it best to give them their privacy. Oh, and lets not forget the bombshell, Jimmy drops on us before we get ready for the show. Can you believe that fucker is getting married?

“Miss Tempest, can we get a group photo with this crowd!” I say into the microphone after we finish the song, the fans still screaming their lungs out.

“You mean the future Mrs. Sullivan,” Jimmy basically shouts in my ear over the crowd. I smile and nod my head, knowing that they want to tie the knot as soon as we get back to California. He was practically bouncing up and down with excitement, the sweat just dripping and flying off his body as he threw drumsticks into the crowd.

I laugh and clap him on the shoulder. “How could I forget? I’m happy for you, Rev. You two are just crazy enough to make that work,” and that is true. Have you met the bubbly, outlandish blonde? Tempest is all over the place and just as insane as Jimmy, almost like she was his perfect double in female form. I cant believe they ended up finding each other—lucky shits.

“TEMPTY!” he screams when she comes on stage, racing over and swinging her around in a circle.

“Jimmy watch out for the camera!” I roll my eyes at the sight, just hoping that the fans wont freak out too much. The next thing I know, Tempest is on Jimmy’s shoulders and she is taking pictures from an areal view.

“Gates, Shads, Vengeance, get your asses together!” Tempest laughs from above, motioning for the three of us to stop throwing guitar picks into the crowd and pose for a picture. She snaps the picture and out of the corner of my eye, I see Gates making a stupid face. At least we have our best friend back. Though he acts more and more like Jimmy when he’s happy. I guess that’s why they have Pinkly Smooth together. I chuckle at the thought, my eyes catching Kaylyn’s on the side of the stage.

“Come on, Riz, get your ass out here!” I motion for her to join us and she just shakes her head.

“No one needs to see this!” She ran her head from her head to her feet, as if that was supposed to explain everything.

“Well, I sure as hell do,” Brian walks over and grabs her hand, but not before placing a kiss on her lips. The pair look at each other for a moment before they join us back on stage. “Now lets get this shit over with, we have things to do tonight,” he chuckles, his hand on the small of Kaylyn’s back.

“You’re welcome,” I laugh and shake my head as Kaylyn smacks him over the back of the head.

“You didn’t say thank you?!” she rages, putting her hands on her hips. That only makes her look ridiculous with that huge baby bump she’s supporting. What does she have, like two months left before the kids gets here? Good thing we will be on break before we head to Europe.

Brian puts his hands up and takes a step away as she come after him with her finger. “I told you to!” she pokes at his chest.

“You also told me you had to pee twenty times, I’m sorry I forgot!” he laughs just as Tempest and Jimmy come back towards us with the camera. “Besides I had other things on my mind!”

“Okay, lets do this!” I call, arranging the gang and grabbing the microphone. “Okay Denver, on three! One…two…three!”

I glance down the line at my friends only to see Zacky holding Johnny bridal style, Gates and Riz doing the same nose scrunched face, and Jimmy standing with his arms up over top of his head in claws.

“I fucking love you guys,” I smile, shaking my head just as the camera flashes again. This family is the best thing I could have asked for!


***Jimmy’s POV***

“Jimmy where are you taking me?” Tempty giggles as I drag her down the street in downtown Denver. “Don’t tell me you’re still hungry after that huge meal you just ate!” Well, come to think of it, I could eat some more. The thing is that I could eat for days and never be full, or fat. Thats just how it is for me.

“Just come this way,” I yell, jumping out into the street before looking both ways. You just have to live on the edge and this was it. That is until Tempest lets a scream and pulls me backwards at the last second.

“Are you crazy!? You almost just got hit by a car!” I shrug my shoulders and look before I drag her across this time. My mind isn’t on my surroundings; it’s on showing her what is up here around the corner. “Jimmy…come on, just tell me! There isn’t anyone around out here!”

I stop and pull Tempest around to look at me, knowing that we are close. So close that I can smell it! “Do you trust me?” My blue eyes lock with hers and I cant look away. Why is she so fucking beautiful?! Rev Jr. is even fucking saluting her…though maybe she will let us have fun in the gardens…

“Of course I trust you, silly,” that smile is about all I can take before my lips crash down into hers. It has been far too long, twenty minutes to be exact, since I last kissed her. My fingers move and tangle in her long locks as out tongues dance. I feel like I’m floating on a cloud, battling ninjas with my swords as I kiss her. Yes, I feel that rush of excitement just like that! Though it doesn’t last long because Tempty pulls away and looks at me with a smirk. Oh, she’s good. She’s trying to figure out what will make me spill the beans of our location, but my lips are sealed. The threw away the fucking key. Though, I did try to actually super glue my lips once—not to self, don’t do it again—it hurt like a bitch!

“But really, where are we?” Tempty pushes up on her tiptoes and places a kiss on the corner of my lips, teasing me. Oh, keep it together Jimbo. Don’t give into her tricks…she’s working for the enemy right now!

“Denver, now lets go!” I interlace our fingers and continue to drag her down the street since we have run out of sidewalk.

“Well of course we are in Denver! Though looking at all these trees, I wouldn’t know anymore!”

“City girls not used to all the color?” I tease, pinching her side with my free hand.

“Actually, no,” she shrugs, her sky blues turning to look at me and I honestly feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. Why does she have this effect on me? “This is the most I’ve traveled in my entire life. Kay and I both grew up in New York, or around there, and have only known the city. This,” she gestures around to all the trees. “Is something completely new, but very nice.”

“Well, then you’re going to love my favorite place in Denver,” I smile, the sign coming into view up again. I guess I didn’t realize how far away this was before. Note to self, take a cab home so I can have my wicked ways with blondie in the back seat.

“What’s that? A bear? Are we going to get eaten alive?” Tempty bit down on her bottom lip as she looks up at me. She is just too fucking cute to bear. I throw my head back and laugh before picking her up on my back.

“No, but welcome to the botanical gardens! Come see this fucking penguin made out of branches! It’s like sorcery!” I screamed, pulling her through the gates and into the gardens.

“Jimmy…it’s beautiful in here….”


***Brian’s POV***

“Reservation for Haner,” I say to the woman at the front desk, my fingers anxiously strumming on the counter. I cant wait to get this beautiful woman next to me upstairs to our room. I have been waiting weeks to see her and the anticipation is killing me. I just want to strip her down and kiss every inch of her.

Kaylyn leans into my side, pressing small kisses against my shoulder. “I’m so happy to be home,” she smiles and all I can do is tighten my grip around her. I cant believe I was so thick headed when I first met her. What took me so long to realize that I needed this girl in my life? Was I that much of an idiot? She’s fucking perfect for me not to mention she is having my daughter. Who would have thought Synyster Gates would be happy to have a kid?

“Your room is 501, here are your keys, and I hope you enjoy your stay, Mr. Haner,” the receptionist smiles.

As soon as the keys are in my hand, I scoop Kaylyn up into my arms and rushed down the hallway. “Put me down before you hurt yourself!” Kaylyn giggles as we reach the elevator. “I’m not as light as I once was.”

“You’re perfect, just like Maddy,” I say, my hand resting on her belly as we step into the elevator. “Did I tell you both how much I fucking love you since you got back?” I lean in and pull Kay in for a kiss. “I love you…” The drop down to my knees and place a big wet kiss where my daughter hides. “And I love you.”
