Joe’s POV
“Liv! You are here!” I hugged my best friend tightly. I had beaten Matt to the door as soon as I heard the doorbell. I knew it was my friend and I couldn’t wait to see her.
Olivia looked at me closely and smiled “You have changed, Jose” I raise my brows at her but she chuckled and shook her head “In a good way sweetie, in a very good way. You look amazing” We hugged again, until I noticed Olivia looking at something over my shoulder and I turned my head to find Matt with an annoyed look on his face, his arms folded over his chest.
“What is up with him?” Olivia whispered. I smiled and whispered back loudly “He is overprotective, he really thinks they will take me right from under his nose in his own house”
“You should just listen for once” his deep voice send a shiver down my spine… just like every single time “Hi Olivia, nice to see you again” He hugged her shortly and kissed her cheek. I looked at them, my boyfriend and my best friend, who would have ever thought?!

“I need to finish a few things, you girls hang out in the garden.” He turned to me “Don’t. Open. The. Door” he kissed me shortly before he turned around to his office again.
“Wow” Olivia let out, looking after Matt and I could only chuckle as I guided my friend to the kitchen, findingArin there.
“Olivia, meet the birthday boy. Arin, this is my best friend, Olivia”
Olivia put a kiss on both of Arin’s cheeks and handed him a sixpack of some special brand of beer and a Lars Ulrich poster “Heard you got the drumkit, you should have him on your wall, watching over you” Arin smiled widely and blushed a little, letting out a ‘Thank you’ before providing us with drinks.

I gave Olivia the short tour of the house before we settled in near the pool. It was beautifully lit and I enjoyed sitting here, the perfect spot to have a good view of everything happening. Olivia didn’t waste any time and cut right to the chase
“So you and Matt huh?”
I felt the blush creeping over my face and let out a smile “Yes, he is amazing. We took it slow after that first night, got to know each other a little better first before we would really jump into a relationship. See if there was something more between us”
“Hold up… that first night?” She looked confused and I totally forgot again I hadn’t told her about that.
My blush got even heavier “After a day here, Matt arranged for me to share his office, so I could work almost like normal. We were irritating each other endlessly, just as we were turned on by each other apparently. So the second night, Matt got sick of all of it and just kissed me, ending up in him slinging me over his shoulder and dragging me to bed”
Olivia let out a loud laugh “Good for Matt! You needed someone like him, you needed to have the stormy love, and now look at you”
I looked over to the doors to the house and saw Matt standing there, a smile on his face, looking at me. I smiled back….Yeah… now look at me…

Brian’s POV
I was walking over to Joe and her friend to say hello, when I heard her talk about her first few nights at the mansion. I stopped and listened a little more carefully without letting them know I was there.
“ So the second night..” I heard Joe talk about her first night with Matt and thought about it for a bit. That sneaky bastard “we didn’t want to rush into things”. The hell he wasn’t! He fucked her on the second night! I changed my course and headed for the doors where I had just seen Matt come out.
“Need to start calling you Shads again” I said as I stood next to him, watching over the garden. Joe and her friend were talking to each other vividly as in the other corner, Johnny, Arin and Jacky tried to get some music up and running, even succeeding now.
Matt looked at me amused “Why is that?”
“Well, because you kept us all in the dark about what happened between you and Joe”
His smile faltered and he sighed “Not that again”
“No… don’t you sigh on me… You haven’t been honest with us. ‘Taking it slow’ and ‘Getting to know each other first’” I made the quotation marks with my fingers. “You are a liar, Sanders. You completely forgot to tell us your little caveman adventure on the second night”
Matt turned red in a split second and looked at me with wide eyes “How did you know?”
I looked at Joe and her friend and chuckled “Women talk Matt, especially best friends”
He was quiet for a minute “Well, yeah, one night, couldn’t control myself, she was driving me crazy, man”
“Oh I get that. These sisters know how to do that” I agreed with him. He chuckled and then fell completely silent, staring at Joe, his eyes turned glassy and I knew exactly what was going on.

“You thinking back about the night?”
“Uhuh” he replied, barely audible “It was hot. I will go and find you and me something to drink, before I drag her away from this party before it has even started.” Matt groaned and disappeared into the house as Jacky came towards me and practically jumped in my arms.
“Hey babe, what were you and Matt talking about?” She put little kisses on my jaw, then moved her mouth over to my neck.
“Nothing, just men stuff. What are you doing?” I looked at her closely, was she already tipsy? She giggled “I did shots with Dean, Arin and Johnny, we needed to start this night properly”
I snapped my eyes at her “That ass is here too?”
“Briannnn, don’t be like this! He is my friend and Arin’s too. Don’t be a dickhead” She pecked my lips and turned away “I’m going to look for him, see you later baby”
I watched her walk into the house too… what is up with that guy, he must have noticed I didn’t want him here and still… still he was coming over. I trusted Jacky, but I didn’t trust that playboy Dean for a second.

Arin walked towards me with two guys I didn’t know. He smiled widely, seems he was having a good time.
“Hey kid, you having fun?” I asked as he walked passed me.
“Yeah, this night is amazing. Thank you. I’m on my way to show Marc and Nick my drumkit”
I nodded with a smile and followed him inside. I took the stairs down to the basement and heard the drums. He was actually pretty good, who would have thought this modest guy would have so much in common with the most crazy guy I had ever known.
I peeked into the room and saw Arin completely lost in the music, the two other guys politely watching, but quickly leaving the room. Arin didn´t even notice they were gone.

“You are pretty good” I let out as soon as Arin finished his drum solo. He blushed and let out a “Thank you”
“You know… Jimmy liked to drum too?” Arin looked at me surprised and shook his head.
“He could have easily been a rockstar if it hadn’t been for Matt starting this company. He wanted to be part of this and he found a new dream in doing this with his friends.” I grabbed my phone and clicked the clip I was looking for, handing the phone to Arin.
“This is Jimmy when he was 9 years old.” We both looked at the little boy, going completely crazy behind the drums and a smile crept over my face. I missed the guy like crazy, but these were the nice moments.
“He must have been amazing” Arin said as the clip ended.
“He was.”
We both got up and headed out of the room again.
I clapped his shoulder and we head up the stairs “Let’s go and entertain your guests again”

As soon as we reached the top of the stairs the doorbell rang and Arin walked over to the door, revealing a small redhead with a huge smile on her face.
“Hey” Arin let out surprised and the girl stepped in confident and kissed both his cheeks.
“Hi Arin, happy birthday, Matt invited me. Hope that is okay” Arin nodded.
I looked at him, he was blushing and he could barely form sentences as he was looking at the girl carefully. Did the kid like this one?
“Yeah… uh…of course that’s okay” Arin found his smile again.
“Here, your gift! I had them custom made for you when Matt bought the drums”
Arin looked at his gift carefully and a huge smile came on his face “Drumsticks with my name on them, that’s amazing. Thank you”

I watched Arin kiss the girl’s cheek again and escort her inside the house, grabbing her a drink. Time for me to let him do his thing and finally find my girlfriend again.

Joe’s POV
This night had been amazing. It looked like everyone had fun and the birthday boy was walking around, talking to everyone, large smile on his face. Once in a while I saw him disappear in the house with a few people, probably showing off his present.
My night couldn’t have been better either, I had been in the presence of my best friend and we still hadn’t really caught up. It was funny to see though, what happened when you brought a beautiful woman in this house. All these guys were drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
First Arin came for a talk, soon joined by Johnny, they were joking and asking Olivia all kinds of questions, before getting distracted again, leaving us to it. Brian had been his charming self and I could see my friend being impressed with him. That was until my sister came over and claimed Brian as hers, making sure Olivia paid good attention to her very public display of attention.

“She is serious about him huh?” Olivia had asked as they walked away, holding hands.
“Yeah, she is, but so is he. He seemed like such a player in the beginning, and you know my sister, not even able to keep a commitment to feeding a pet, but with him… She changed. I think he is good for her”
“Look at you, all getting along” She smiled at me
“Yeah, things have-“ I started but was cut off by Zack, even though I had to look twice if it was really him. What was he doing with his voice!

“Well, hello beautiful ladies!” He sounded silky smooth as he sat down next to Olivia and I looked at him with raised brows.
“Please tell Matt I wasn’t meaning anything by that, Joe. He is acting weird!” Zack shot at me quickly, before his complete attention went back to Olivia, not even noticing me anymore. I watched him play, I mean, I could see he was playing. Teasing my friend, trying to find out her likes and dislikes, throwing in some cheap ass pick up lines and then laughing them away again. I had to be honest, he had some skills, but I guess he had done this a few times earlier.
I looked over at Olivia, she was enjoying herself, but I knew Zack would be disappointed, no matter how hard he was working now. And you know what… I kinda felt sorry for him. I had come to like Zack and how much fun would him and Olivia hooking up be!

Zack brought out the big guns now, his fingers moving over the skin of Liv’s bare leg, his other hand holding hers, and I could see from his face that he thought he was almost there, closing the deal. But I could see his downfall approaching over his shoulder, the poor man didn’t even know what was heading for him.
“I’m sorry it took me so long, I got to talking with Jacky” Dean looked at me and Liv with a smile. His grin grew even wider when he saw Zack.
“If I had known our little group had expanded I would have brought more drinks” he said with an apologizing tone, plopping down between Olivia and me, handing us our drinks. He couldn’t fool me, he liked this situation, he knew Zack would have nothing on him, seeing Liv had been all over Dean when he had joined us earlier. Dean laid his arm around Olivia’s shoulder, full of confidence and I saw disappointment coming over Zack’s face briefly, but he quickly put on a brave face.
“Doesn’t matter, I can get myself a new one” Zack replied with a smile and got up. I guess he knew which battle to fight, and this wasn’t one of them apparently. As I watched Zack walk back to the house, I could see Dean kissing Olivia from the corner of my eye, time for me to leave too. Guess Zack was right this time.
