Matt’s POV
Waking up with Joe in my arms had been amazing, I wanted to have this every night and every morning, falling asleep with her in my arms, wearing my clothes, waking up by the noises of her little sleeping sounds. She talked in her sleep, making her even cuter.

The feeling of happiness faded away quickly when I snuck out of Joe’s room and found Brian getting out of Jacky’s. Shit! I wanted to talk to him, but I didn’t need him having leverage over me in that conversation. What he did was wrong and if he saw me coming out of Joe’s room he would get the wrong idea, thinking what he was doing was okay too.

“What are you doing up?” I let my voice sound annoyed, I needed to take the lead in this conversation, distract him from the fact that I stood in front of Joe’s door, the doorknob in my hand. I moved over to him, as he did to me, meeting me halfway.
He fidgeted with his hands, not looking me in my eyes for one second, how could I have been so blind for this?

“I... I heard some noises, I wanted to see what was going on” He rushed out his excuse.
“In Jacky’s room?”
“Yeah… I… just… I wanted to check on her, after all that happened yesterday and all” Brian was a bad liar, normally I liked that about him, now it was just annoying me.
“Are you sure about that?”
Brian snapped his head up at me and looked at me with question in his eyes. I could see he was measuring up how much I knew, if I had found out about him and Jacky, which I had in fact, but he didn’t know that…
“Yeah, why would I lie about that?” he replied curtly, offended tone on his voice.
Yeah, why would you Brian? Damnit, why wasn’t he being honest with me, I wasn’t that bad! I would have listened to his arguments…. And threw them out directly after….

“I don’t know… You seem… Uncomfortable”
Silence answered me, and Brian was looking at his feet
“You would tell me if something was going on right? I’m still your friend”
“Sure… of course…” He looked up at me “But nothing is. I was just checking on Jacky to see if everything was alright. I mean, I feel sorry for her, she has so much to deal with. Joe too. How is she? Can she cope with all of this? I still think we should talk to them about the situation, sign them in so they know what they are up against. Don’t you think? Maybe we can tell them soon? What are your plans for today? Do you have meetings or just…”
I listen to Brian rambling, another tell on him that he was lying, or hiding something. I should have know the first time… Damnit… I could just kick myself in the head that I hadn’t notice before. Zack must be in on this too, those two told each other everything, he must have helped Brian with all of this. Maybe I should try to find out who knows, but I guess it would only be Zack and he wouldn’t tell me shit, there was no getting in between him and Brian.

I realized Brian had gave me the perfect out though
“No, no meetings, but I have a few things to take care of, so I thought I start early. I went downstairs to … Uh… start the coffee”
Brian raised his brows at me
“Isn’t there a timer on the coffee machine?”
“Yeah… that’s what I found out too… I think I had a bit too much to drink last night, still a little beer stupid”
He still looked confused, but was already halfway turned around to head over to his room, as was I.
I would get him to confess, I would find out why the hell he was breaking my rules, but for now, I let out a sigh in relief, I think he didn’t really saw where I had been coming from.
Joe and I needed to be more careful if we wanted to keep this a secret.
I let myself fall down on the bed….. Did I want to keep this a secret?

Brian’s POV
The talk with Matt early this morning wouldn’t leave my mind, or rather not really talk, it was a running into each other, and I was not only embarrassed as hell, because Matt saw me coming out of Jacky’s room, breaking one of his rules… but trying to lie to him and getting away with it… damn it felt bad, he was one of my best friends…
But I knew he wouldn’t understand… what was between Jacky and me… I mean, it started as me breaking the rules because of the lust and Jacky’s hotness…
But I ended falling in love…
Love, really Haner?
Yeah… the way I couldn’t stay away, needed to touch her, feel her, be close to her every chance I got, this must be love…

I shook my head, what had Matt been doing up so early down the hallway anyway? That whole story about the coffee machine was bullshit, why would he lie?
Then a thought came to my mind… he wasn’t coming out of Joe’s room, was he? Shit, why couldn’t I have paid better attention instead of feeling guilty?
I went down to the kitchen, nearly running into Arin… startling me… What was wrong with all these guys, running into me today…

“Brian.. hey.” Arin looked at me and I frowned.
“Do you want to tell me something or just stare at me, kid?” I asked and Arin straightened his stance looking at me with more fierce in his eyes.
“Do you have some time, I do want to talk to you about something.” Arin said and I frowned. What would that be?
“Okay, fine.” I motioned him to walk ahead and followed him towards his room, now I really was curious what this was about.

“So kiddo, tell me what’s weighing on your little heart…” I grinned and Arin turned towards me with a serious face.
“I want to talk to you about Jacky.” Arin said and I frowned.
“What is there to talk about?” My mood changing quickly and Arin must have sensed that.
“I feel a connection towards Jacky, she is like… my little sister. And you are one of my closest friends… but Brian… I just want to make sure, you are not hurting Jacky, she became really important to me.” Arin said and I lifted my eyebrow.
“You are really pulling the big brother speech towards me? After YOU put her in danger? After what happened yesterday, you are concerned of her getting hurt? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” I snapped and realized I didn’t talk to Arin about any of it before…
“Brian, calm down, okay? I know I fucked up… I never meant to get her in danger. She means a lot, I just want to hear from you that you are serious with her, or end it before she is really getting hurt. I don’t want her to be just one from a lot… I think she likes you more, than you even know…” My head snapped towards him.

“Did she say something?” I asked my, heart doing the little jumps again, I knew I was in love, did she say something like that too?
“No, I mean… maybe… Brian, can you answer my question.” Arin insisted and I haven’t seen the kid being so persistent about anything.
“I mean it honestly with her Arin… do you think I would get into that much trouble, if I wouldn’t mean it? I am fallen for her, hard and fast… And I want her all to myself. Is that enough for you now, big brother?” I asked and Arin looked into my eyes and nodded finally.
“And Brian, I regret it… I never meant for her to get into danger… I know better than that. I will not get between you and your job again… but… did she… I mean, did she tell you where we have been?”

Arin asked looking at me curiously and was glad I got the information from Jacky, I would look dumb now still not knowing what she was doing… but now I could trump with my knowledge.
“She is running this charity thing… yeah she finally told me about it.” I smirked and Arin nodded and sighed in relief.
“I have no idea why she didn’t tell anyone about it, she is doing that amazingly, you should have seen her… I mean… sorry.” Arin stopped blushing and I felt a little ping in my heart, wanting to see her running a business, she was more like her sister, than she wanted to admit, if she wanted to hear it or not.

“Yeah, and you know what… she is not only that… I found out the other day that she is writing these novels… I think it’s some kind of hobby, but she loves it…maybe I should pay more attention to that as well… do you have your laptop here somewhere… I need to…” I looked around seeing the laptop on the bed and taking it without waiting for Arin, seeing what I didn’t want to see from Arin.
“Wait, let me close-” Arin blushed and stumbled towards me.
“Really Arin, porn sites?”
“Hey, you are not the only one wanting to have some fun, alright.” He took the laptop of my hands, his cheeks a bright red and I chuckled.
“What do you wanna search for? And stop grinning like that, asshole.” Arin growled and I nodded.
“Google, Jay Masters, author.” I said and Arin typed but then stopped in the middle of the name.
“Jay Masters?” Arin asked with a confused look and I nodded.
He finished typing and the first thing I saw was the book covers of a lot of books, with the title NY Bestselling author.
“Hot damn… she is famous…” I said surprised, so this wasn’t just a little hobby of her.
“That’s where I heard that name before… she was donating money… for the Charity… that was her.” Arin mumbled and I frowned.
“Brian, you should better talk to your girl about some facts… if you mean this really honest, you should get to know all of her… and I think you have a lot more to discover.” Arin patted my back and I frowned… what did the kid know that I didn’t?!

I made my way towards the door, and just when I opened it Joe stood before the door, her hand high about to knock.
“Arin, you got another visitor, maybe you should close your laptop completely now.” I said with a grin, earning me a confused look from Joe and a middle finger from Arin.

Arin’s POV
“I was wondering if you wanted to have some lunch together, everyone seems to be out” Joe asked shyly. She turned her eyes to Brian “You can join if you want to?”
Brian was already half way out of the door, I could only imagine where he would go, but I guess it would have something to do with Jacky. Was he really serious? I didn’t want her to get hurt and that was what usually happened with woman.
“No thanks, I have other things to do” Brian rushed out before he turned around and left.

“So?” Joe added.
“Sure, let’s go to the kitchen”
Joe fixed us both a sandwich as I poured us some juice to drink with it.
“How are you Josephine? Used to everything around here by now?”
She nodded and swallowed her bite.
“Hmmm, yeah, I guess so, you aren’t half as bad as I thought you all were, I think I’m starting to get used to you”
I chuckled, it was kinda funny, I was younger than her, but now she seemed a little insecure, which made her loose the hardass business attitude completely….. She looked young and nervous.
“Would you tell me about your friends? Make me get to know them a little through you?” Her voice was soft and her eyes averted.
“Sure. Johnny is a goofball, always in for a joke, always having fun, you will barely see him without a smile on his face. He loves his gadgets and he can stay in that room of his for hours.”
She smiled “I had noticed that, he told me to pour him a cup of coffee that was still there 2 hours later, just because he went down to ‘get something’”
“That sounds like Johnny. Zack is… The most important thing to know about Zack is Brian. Those two are inseparable. They always have been, but even more after Jimmy”
“Who’s Jimmy?”
“That’s a story for another time, okay?”
She nodded and I continued “Oh, another thing about Zack… he loves to dress up nicely. When we go out, he takes the longest to get ready”
Zack would kill me if he heard that I said that, but I liked that about him, he had an eye for it too.
“Brian has always been Matt’s right hand man and has a business mind if he wants to, but don’t tell him that I told you, he is still denying it. And uhm… Oh… Brian loves dogs. We are all away too much to keep them, but he would love to have a few. Matt is the boss and keeps us all straight. He loves Italian food”
“And you Arin?”
“I’m just helping out”
“I don’t think so, I think Matt values you a lot you know… You are just as much part of this company as the others”
I thought about that for a second, thinking back at the moment I had with Matt. Did Matt put her up to this? And what I that was so? Maybe they were right…
“And what do you love Arin?”
I felt my cheeks heat up and I could barely hear my own voice “I love to drum. I go to the music store ones a week, they let me drum on the kit, maybe one day I can buy one of my own”

Joe looked at me with a satisfied smile.
“So, that is more about this group” I finished, pushing my plate and glass a little away from me, leaning back in my chair. I looked at Joe, who was staring at her hands, what was wrong with her, I never seen her like this…
“What does Matt do to relax?”
“Matt loves videogames, Xbox, Playstation, but also those old arcades. A few miles from here there is this large arcade he goes too when everything is too much and he just needs to get away from things.”
“So if you want to do something nice for Matt you need to feed him Italian food and go to the arcade?” Her voice soft and questioning.
“Yeah, I guess the first woman that takes Matt to do that will completely win his heart” I chuckled, until I saw the look in her eyes and the blush on her face that got deeper and deeper.
“Oh….. OH!” I replied dumbly, finally getting where she was going. Her eyes snapped up at me and told me everything I needed to know “I see”

“Please don’t tell anyone?”
