Brian’s POV
Yesterday had been a hard day for me, but in the end I stayed calm, most of the time, I had my eyes on Jacky and Dean when he was here, but I kept my mouth shut and I think I managed pretty good.
But I couldn’t even describe how relieved I was when this guy finally left our home.

Jacky didn’t really talk to me that day anymore. I thought it would be better to give her a little more distance and since my talk with Arin I had a plan to fulfill, but for that plan I needed to talk to Matt first.
It was early in the morning and I saw Matt standing in the kitchen, discussing something with Arin.
“I can’t believe it, I can’t believe they put something in her calendar, right at the date and time they almost took her. We need to find out how they hell they were able to get in there.” Matt was restless and pacing around like a caged lion.
“What happened” I asked, seeing Arin’s and Matt’s worried faces.
“Joe’s computer was hacked, we don’t know for sure if they took something, but it seems like they were not out to get anything out of it, besides her schedule, contacts and personal data” Matt replied
“I don’t get it, really, I know I’m no master hacker, but I know my way around and I had a really hard time getting into her company’s security, I don’t understand how they did it. I will look into it Matt, don’t worry, it will be okay. I ordered a new laptop for her yesterday, I can give her a new interface, looking exactly like her old one, but then I will now for sure they haven’t been in there, at least not physically.
Arin rushed out of the kitchen. This was really bad, they would know her complete schedule, it would be even harder to keep her safe.

Matt looked at his watch and then lifted an eyebrow at me and began to frown.
“What are you doing up already?” He asked finally and I rolled my eyes, as if this would have been the first time that I was up early in my life.
“I woke up early, that a crime?” I don’t know why but I always got into defensive mode when Matt was questioning me, maybe it was the guilty conscious nagging on me.
“Alright...” Matt laughed a little and poured himself a coffee.
“I wanted to ask you something, Jacky doesn’t have many clothes left, we just picked up necessities when we left... I was thinking, I could drive her to her apartment, to get some more of her stuff, you okay with that?” I asked casually also pouring me a cup.
Matt tapped with his finger on the counter, watching me.
“Hmm... yeah...why not.” I mentally sighed in relief and turned to go when he stopped me with a hand to my shoulder.
“That is actually a good idea, we will drive together, Joe and I will come along, she also needs some of her stuff. We will leave at 1, so inform Jacky and get ready.”
What?
No!
I was planning on making up and spending time with her alone, not being watched by Matt and Joe while doing so... I groaned...
“Is that a problem?” Matt asked and I snapped my head in his direction, shit... did I groan out loud?
“No, not at all... but I mean... they are girls they will take a while, to pick out all the stuff, they need time right... maybe we should, split up, you can bring us to Jacky’s home and I will help her, and pick up back up when you are done at Joe’s?” I asked and tried to sound calm.
“Yeah, you are right. At 1, tell Jacky to be ready, I will go talk to Joe.”Matt grabbed his coffee and left and I sighed, damn that was close.

I was happy to finally being able to talk to Jacky an hour later and inform her about my plan. I knew she was still not too thrilled to talk to me, but I would change that, right now.
I knocked on her door and waited a second before I just opened her door.
She sat on her bed and quickly closed her laptop when I walked in, what was she hiding?
But before I would give her another chance to upset her, put the question back and walked towards her.

“What do you want?” She snapped and I sighed.
“Can I ask you for a truce? I just wanna talk to you.” I held my hands up in surrender and she rolled her eyes.
“Fine, talk.” She put the laptop to the side and looked up to me.
I walked over to the bed and thought about sitting next to her, but quickly thought it would better if I took a chair, so I placed it beside the bed and sat down.
Because only seeing her here on the bed so close to me, in that top and shorts, made my pants get to tight in a certain area.

I swallowed and looked up to her eyes again “Let me say this and please don’t interrupt me, okay? I wanted to apologize. I may have overreacted a little bit, I tried to explain this, but I think... whenever I’m near you half of my brain isn’t working anymore” I said and she grinned, I was making progress...
“So, I planned on bringing you to your apartment today, so you can pick up some more clothes and stuff you need or want, we will leave at one, you okay with that?”
“I don’t know... I can ask Arin to...”
“NO... I mean... no we will be going, I want to spend that time with you. Don’t you... damn it... Jacky, I really want to get to know you better, please let me. I just want to do something for you.” I nearly begged and I was astonished by myself, but I felt like I really needed to do this.
“But whenever we are together... it ends in me being mad at you or any other fights, maybe we should rather stay away.” She looked away and I couldn’t stand that.

I finally moved to the bed and grabbed her chin, made her look at me.
“You and me at 1, we will leave and I promise you, no fighting and no being mad. I will do my best.” I couldn’t resist and pecked her lips and then quickly gained more distance between us to not do anything else, that I wanted to do... so bad.
“So you agree?” I asked a final time and waited for her nod.
“Yeah, okay.” Jacky nodded and I have seen another smile on her face, making my heart do a little jump.
Shit, this was way more than I have thought of... she was really getting to me, more than anybody before...
I need to talk to Zack next, needed his help for my next plan... he will need to help me distract Matt, when I will plan my actual date with Jacky, and Matt is not allowed to know and Jacky, still doesn’t know I was planning any of this...
I had to watch her apartment more closely, to get an idea finally, what she would like to do, what we could do together...
“Brian?” Jacky roused me from my thoughts.
“Huh?” I looked at her and she grinned.
“You want to say something more?”
“No, why?”
“Because you are staring at me and not leaving... so I was wondering...” She laughed lightly and I felt my cheeks get red... damn it... what’s wrong with me... I better get out of here.
“No, we see us at 1, be ready.” I left and couldn’t wait for the time we would be alone again.

Matt POV
Joe had arrived into our office after I had returned from my talk with Brian. She looked distracted and was tugging and pulling her clothes. She was still wearing her holiday outfits, skirts, little tops or as she was today, a summer dress with just a little too much cleavage. The only thing left from her business attire was the tight bun on her head, bonded together with the ribbon I pulled out just before I slept with her. She looked really uncomfortable and I thought this would be the perfect time for me to show her I wasn’t that bad. I had planned to give in to her right away as soon as she asked me if we could get her some more clothes and I really thought that moment wouldn’t be far away today, but some way it was already 12 and she still hadn’t said anything. Was she trying to stay out of asking me favors, because of the dinner thing? Maybe she thought things would be out of balance or something, you’d never know what was going on in that had of hers.

“You look a little uneasy Joe, is there something I can do for you?” I looked at her over my laptop and still hoped she would give me the opportunity I was looking for.
“No, nothing”
She kept her eyes on the screen, not even granting me a look. I tried again
“Are you sure? I can get you something for lunch… or…?”
“No Matt, I need to get these contracts done, but it would be great if you could send someone to get my gowns from my apartment, I need something to wear to dinner tomorrow” She replied absently, but I knew this was my chance.
“What if I take you to your apartment?”
Her head snapped up “Are you serious? We can get my clothes and stuff? Please don’t joke about these things”
I smiled and nodded, I enjoyed the hope in her voice, the way she completely gave away her deepest wishes in those couple of questions.
My little plan paid off as I was rewarded with a big genuine smile on her face.
“Let me get my keys, can we leave immediately?” She got up and was already halfway gone
“We’ll leave at one, we need to drop off Brian and Jacky first”
“OKAY! SEE YOU IN A BIT!” She yelled to me from the stairs.
I chuckled, if I had known this was the reaction I would get, I would have done this days ago.

At one, we were all in the car, Joe next to me, Brian and Jacky in the back. Normally Brian would be sitting next to me, but Joe already took the seat and Brian didn’t seem to care. Him and Jacky were acting a little weird around each other, but I guess that was just all of them living in close quarters, it was difficult to keep everyone happy.
“Jacky, are you okay in going back to your apartment after all that has happened?” I asked, trying to catch her gaze in my rearview mirror.
She thought about it for a moment, then shot a quick look at Brian.
“Yeah, I think so, I won’t be alone and I think those men won’t be there anyway. Brian scared them pretty well with my magazine” she laughed softly and looked at Brian with a knowing smile, while Brian on the other hand, just looked pissed.
“Do I want to know?”
“No, you don’t. I got Jacky out safely, that’s all that matters” Brian replied quickly as I pulled up to Jacky’s apartment building.
“Okay, good.. we are here… Joe and I will go to her apartment to get some stuff, we will be back in two hours tops. I’ll send you a message when we leave there.”
I talked to Brian mostly and waited for him to nod, before I closed my window again and turned the car back up the street.

“You tell me where to go?” I looked at Joe, seeing her stare out of the window.
“Why? You lived here your whole life, you know which street I live at, why can’t you just drive?” She sounded annoyed, but never looked at me, where did happy Joe go?
“I like it better when someone points me, it’s your house, tell me how to get there best” I stated calmly, I wouldn’t let her ruin the happiness I got from her enthusiastic face earlier.
Joe pointed me in the right direction and after another 15 minutes we arrived the building she was living at. This was sure something else than Jacky’s building.

I parked the car and walked after her, she was greeted by the doorman and after a little talk of where she had been all this time, we finally headed up to the elevator.
Joe had a key to the elevator, because she lived in the penthouse, of course she was, this woman definitely had all her affairs in order.
She opened the door, put her keys on the little table next to the door and started doing a whole routing of switches and other things.

“You can make some coffee over there while I pack” she pointed to the kitchen, while I watched her move to another side of the house, her bedroom probably. I was curious on how she was living and if she thought I would be waiting for her in the kitchen, she was wrong, I would definitely have a look around.
