Brian’s POV
After my phone call with Matt ended I knocked softly on the bedroom door, before I went inside.
Jacky was sitting on her bed, she wasn’t crying anymore, her hands were still shaking, but I think the worst shock was over.
“Did you call Zacky?” I asked her and she nodded.
“Yes, he said he will be here as soon as he can.” And in exactly that moment the doorbell rang.
“That must be him, wait here.” I told her and she nodded again. Shit, I hated to see her like this.
This scared and fragile, I had to do something to make her feel better.

I opened the door and Zacky stood there breathing heavy. “I got here as soon as I could. Jacky sounded serious.” He said and I let him inside.
“Yes, it was. Someone broke into the apartment, Jacky woke me and when I walked out of the room he was already in the apartment.”
“How did she wake you, when the guy was already in the apartment?” Zack asked with a frown.
“I had a bad feeling yesterday and slept in her room, thank god.” I told him and Zack lifted an eyebrow at me in question.
“I know what you think, but nothing happened. I even suggested sleeping on her floor, and if I wouldn’t have slept in her room, the guy would have gotten to her… anyway can we discuss this little detail later?” I asked him and always kept my eyes on Jacky’s bedroom, not liking the thought of her alone.
“Did you talk to Matt? He needs to know!” Zack said and I nodded.
“I talked to him already, can you pack up my shit from the guestroom? And yours as well, Matt ordered me to take her with us to the mansion to keep her safe.” Zack nodded
“Sounds like the best idea. I will just have a look at her first, make sure she is fine.” Zack said and I frowned, not liking the thought that she would feel more comfortable around Zack then me…
I shook my head and followed Zack to Jacky’s bedroom, he knocked and then walked in, Jacky still sitting on her bed.

“Hey you.” Zack said and walked towards her. “I got here as soon as I could.”
“Thanks.” Jacky nodded at him with a sad smile.
“I talked to Matt, our boss, we will pack some of your stuff and bring you to our headquarters. We will keep you safe, this is a serious situation and we need you at the safest place possible.” I told her and interrupted Zack and Jacky’s short moment.
“It’s the best solution, you will have your own room there. We will let Arin prepare something for you, we can introduce you to the rest of us, you will like it there.” Zack told her and Jacky looked a little uncertain.
“I don’t… I don’t want to leave… I mean… fuck.” She looked down on her hands and I shoved Zack out of the way, kneeling down before her, taking her ice cold hands in mine, rubbing my thumb on her palm.
“We can’t keep you safe here, Jacky. But we can in our mansion, you will get everything you need there. We will keep you safe, I promise. Just pack up the most necessary things and we can always come back and get the rest, okay?” She looked up and met my eyes, my heart skipped a beat while we stared at each other.
“Hmm… Brian? Come on, you go pack up our stuff. I will help Jacky with hers.” Zack cleared his throat and I snapped my head up to him, shit.
“Yeah right.” I got up and reluctantly let go of Jacky’s hand.

About one hour later we arrived at the mansion and Zack opened the door, he went inside and took my stuff with him.
I was dead tired but to make Jacky a little more comfortable I had to introduce her to my friends and show her her room at least.
We walked into the living area and I saw Jacky look around with a little excitement in her eyes.
I felt a small jolt of joy knowing I could show her around later on, and try to get that look on her face again.
“This is the living area. Let me introduce you to the rest of the team, who is also living here.”
Zacky came walking back, on his heels were Johnny and Arin.
“You know Zack already.” Zack nodded with a smile at her.
“This is Johnny, our technical expert, you have seen him a couple of weeks ago in your apartment, do you remember?” I asked her and she nodded.
“Hey.” Jacky made a step forward and Johnny grinned at her “Hey, we heard what happened. You will be safe here. I’m Johnny.” He hugged Jacky and she had a smile on her face.
“Thanks.”
“And last but not least, that’s Arin, but we mostly call him the kid, because he is the youngest…” Arin stepped forward, and Jacky hugged him with a smile.
“Hey Arin, nice to meet you, I am Jacky, I have a feeling we will come along perfectly.” She grinned and Arin grinned back at her, not being the shy kiddo, we knew him to be.
I frowned but ignored that scene for a moment.
“I prepared a guestroom for you upstairs.” Arin said and Jacky nodded with a smile “Thank you, can you show-” Jacky started but I interrupted.
“I will show her. Is it the one I told you?” I asked Arin and he nodded at me with a smirk.
“Yeah, it is.” I texted Arin when I packed up our stuff to give her the guestroom next to mine.
“Alright, I will show the room and then head in myself, see you all later”

I took Jacky’s elbow and showed her to her room, when I was sure she was settled in properly I moved to the door, but before I could turn the doorknob I heard Jacky’s voice behind me.
“Brian?”
I turned around, seeing Jacky sitting on her bed, it was early in the morning, but since we hadn’t slept the night, we needed to catch up during the day now.
“Can you stay with me?” She asked and I swallowed thickly.

Josephine’s POV
My night hadn’t been that good since Matt had stormed into our room. The news of the break in at Jacky’s apartment had been quite a shock. Even though I wasn’t on the best terms with my her, she was still my little sister and I didn’t want her to get hurt. I was happy they were with her at the time and could take the proper action. She would be safe with all that security around, but would all the security be safe from her?
I smiled at the thought, my sister had always had a way with men, she always knew right how to wrap them around her little finger. I couldn’t help but wonder how she would be in a house full of men.

I grabbed my phone from the night stand and looked at the time, it was 9.30, if Matt wouldn’t listen to me, he would be at our door in 2 hours, ready to take us, or rather said, me to the airport. But with all due respect, I wasn’t planning on going home. I had been looking forward to this little break and it was the first thing that even remotely looked like a holiday since 3 years. I had deserved this. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower, before I got dressed I woke up Liv.
“Hey sleepy head, get out of bed, we are going shopping today”
“But Matt…” she replied sleepy
“Don’t ‘but Matt’ me, I’m not going home, I will be shopping today, are you coming or not?”
She jumped out of bed “I never turn down a good shopping trip”
I put on my dress and my flats and pinned a few strains of my hair to my head to keep them out of my face. I looked in the mirror and was satisfied with what I saw… Just one finishing touch… I took one of the flowers from the tree hanging over our balcony and put it in my hair.. There. All ready to go.

Liv came out of the bedroom and whistled “Damn girl, you look good! Finally adjusting to your surroundings I see. Are you sure it’s okay for us to go out? Aren’t you scared?” Liv tried carefully, while getting dressed.
“No, of course not, those guys went for Jacky, what should I be afraid of, I mean, it’s not like they followed me here…”
“Shouldn’t we tell Matt that we are going out? Give him the chance to come along? Wouldn’t be too bad, would it?” She winked at me and I sighed.
“I came here for a reason, if I wanted a guard around, I could have just taken Zack. I want to be on my own, I don’t want some man tagging along, complaining about the number of stores I want to visit”
Liv chuckled lightly “The fact that you think he is irresistible isn’t part of your aversion?”
“I don’t think he is irresistible!” I snapped at her. Damn, why did she need to bring this up every single time? There was nothing going on between me and Matt and he wasn’t that special anyway.
“Are you ready to go? I was finished half an hour ago”
My friend grabbed her purse and hooked her arm in mine “Let’s make our creditcards cry!”

We walked down to the lobby and asked someone at the reception desk to call us a cab.
“No problem miss, please wait here, the driver will let you know when he gets here”
The guy took the phone and walked to the office in the back. Why didn’t he just appoint us to one of the cars waiting outside, I didn’t need a special treatment, I just wanted a car.

“Goodmorning ladies, you kinda hurt me that you wanted to have a fun day without me” Matt came into the lobby, aviators, tight shirt, boardshorts and flipflops. I would deny it if anyone asked me, but he looked very attractive.
“W-what are you doing here? How did you even know we were here?” I said annoyed.
Matt quickly looked over to the man who would call us a cab, and nodded curtly.
“I made some friends at the hotel, and I guess that was a very wise decision, seeing you have a hard time playing by the rules” He replied smiling, but his tone was icey cold.
“I told you we would be leaving today and even though you told me we wouldn’t, we hadn’t really decided on who is boss, had we?”
Only a few sentences and he was already pissing me off “There is no need for us to determine who is boss, because you are and I am too… And in this case, I determine my own daytime activities… and guess what, I want to go shopping with my best friend today, without a watchdog…Pretty simple, huh?” I turned around and grabbed Liv’s hand, pulling her behind me, heading for the door.
“I don’t fucking think so!” Matt growled and within a few steps he stood in front of me “Olivia, I think you better wait outside, I want to have a talk with Josephine in private”
Liv, the damn traitor, nodded and headed outside… What a friend she was!

Matt grabbed me by my arm and I could feel the heat transferring to my body, I suppressed a shiver. He took me to an empty dining room and turned me around to face him.
“Do you have a death wish?!” He asked, taking of his aviators. I shrugged
“Nothing is wrong, Jacky was in danger, you solved it… Why would I be scared, as if those guys followed me to Hawaii… That’s just stupid!”
“YOU are in danger too, not only your sister, why is it so hard for you to listen to me and do as I tell you for once?! You are going to pack your stuff and we are flying back”
“NO! I haven’t had a holiday in 3 years and I’m enjoying myself, as long as you don’t have some hard proof that I’m in danger right here, right now, I will stay here and I will go shopping”
He looked at me closely and I could see he was thinking about what he could tell me. Not long after, I saw I convinced him and he sighed deeply
“Okay, but I will come with you. If you stay here, you better get used to the fact that wherever you go, I go too. Let’s compromise”
I didn’t really think I had the obligation to compromise with him, but fighting with him was taking time out of my shopping spree and I was done with it.
“Fine, we’re leaving now!”
I turned around and headed for the door, ready to finally leave
“Joe?” I heard Matt’s voice behind me, amused
“What now?!” My face snapped around to look at him. He let out a dimpled smile “You look very beautiful today”
