Adoption of the Christ
::Chapter Thirteen::
Ugh my head, the fuck happened last night? I thought to myself as I opened up my eyes and realized I wasn’t in my room but I did feel an arm around my waist so I lifted up the blanket and one, noticed I was naked then two, noticed that it was Johnny’s tattoos and I did the only rational thing I could think of at the moment and that was scream. He jumped and fell out of the bed so I wrapped the sheet around me tightly and looked over at him when his head popped up over the bed
‘Why are you?’ he questioned then looked down and his eyes went wide ‘uh oh’ ‘yeah, uh oh’ I whispered then stood up and started pacing ‘um, we probably shouldn’t tell anyone about this’ he said softly, I just bit my lip and nodded. I picked up my clothes then walked into my room to shower and get dressed, once that was finished I went downstairs and grabbed all my birthday presents and put them up in my room.
I pulled my shoes on then grabbed my sweater and slipped it on, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs ‘Where are you going?’ I heard and I looked back to see Johnny walking out of the kitchen ‘I have to get outta here for a while’ I said softly, he nodded then let me leave. I got in my car and decided to drive to the mall, I shopped for a bit but didn’t buy anything,
I grabbed a coffee at the Starbucks stand then I decided I wanted to get my nails done, I never really got them done, last time was a few Halloweens ago when I went as a witch and wanted claws. But anyway, I walked into the nail place in the mall and they weren’t busy so they took me right back and I was probably there for an hour or so. I decided to go with gel, I got them cut short so I could get used to them and I got black tips with a line of sparkle underneath.
I also decided I wanted to get my hair done, I walked over to the really nice hair place in the mall and they weren’t busy either so they took me right back also. ‘Damn girl your hairs super long’ my hairdresser said and I laughed and nodded a little, it was down to my hips now if you guys were wondering.
‘What do you wanna do with it?’ she asked again as she started playing with it ‘well, I don’t wanna cut it but I was think you could just take an inch off and give me some layers so it’s not so boring’ I said and she nodded ‘I can do that, are we doing any color?’ ‘No not today’ I said and she nodded then said she’d be right back as she went to go get her things. I set my coffee and bag on her counter then sat back as she pulled the smock thing over me,
‘When’s the last time you had a haircut?’ ‘Oh god, probably five years ago’ ‘wow’ ‘yeah I know, my birthday was yesterday so I decided why not’ ‘well happy late birthday’ ‘thanks’ I smiled and she nodded then we just started talking about random things as she did my hair and to say I was nervous was an understatement because I really didn’t trust hair dressers but I didn’t trust myself to cut it even more so whatever.
When she finished she straightened it for me then let me up so I could see it ‘wow that’s great’ I smiled as I played with it a little ‘you like it?’ ‘Yeah you did awesome’ I said as I looked over at her, she smiled big then we walked over to the counter and I paid for the cut then gave her a tip and left.
I did a little shopping then decided I should go home but I grabbed a soft pretzel and large diet coke and I ate my pretzel on the way out to my car. I wiped my hands off, started the car, lit up a smoke then drove home and when I got there Johnny was gone so I just put my bags up in my room then decided to go through my presents since I was too drunk to do it last night and I loved everything everyone got me
‘Cass are you home?!’ I heard Johnny yell so I stood up and walked downstairs and into the kitchen ‘hey you got your hair done’ he said and I nodded then showed him my nails also and he smiled a bit ‘look, I'm sorry about this morning, I just didn’t know what else to say’ he said softly and I just nodded a little and looked down,
I didn’t know how to talk to him right now ‘um, were going out with everyone for dinner tonight ok?’ ‘Ok, is it fancy?’ I asked and he shook his head no so I just nodded and went upstairs. I pull on a pullover hoodie then went back downstairs and sat on the couch to watch tv until it was time to leave.
The ride was awkward to say the least but we made it to Ruby Tuesday’s and walked in, we were taken to the group table and of course we were the last ones as always. We sat down and listened as everyone talked, I have no idea what they were saying because I wasn’t really listening but I looked up when I heard my name
‘what do you want to eat?’ Johnny asked and I looked over to see the waiter was there ‘oh, sorry, um just chicken fingers and fries’ I said and he nodded then walked away. I saw Johnny pull his phone out and start texting on it then he handed it to me, ‘we have to talk about this’ ‘why?’
‘Because I don’t want things to always be weird, I love you and I couldn’t stand not talking to you all day, I don’t want to keep doing it’ he texted, I looked up at him and he smiled a little, I smiled back and rested my head on his shoulder then started texting back
‘there isn’t really a lot to talk about, we had drunk sex, it was good then we woke up and realized what happened’ I texted then handed him the phone as our food came over. I saw him read it then put his phone in his pocket so we could eat and we were a little more talkative after that little texting session.
When we got home it was around 9 and I was tired ‘Cass’ Johnny said as he grabbed my arm before I could go upstairs ‘I'm tired’ ‘I know but we have to talk, it’s not just going to go away if you don’t talk to me’ ‘I don’t understand what there’s to talk about’ ‘we had sex’ ‘yeah and? It’s sex, I'm sure you’ve had it before’ I said then started to walk away again but he grabbed my arm again
‘it wasn’t just sex’ ‘yes it was! Sex is sex! We were drunk; we had sex, end of story!’ I yelled then looked behind him to see Matt ‘uh, I should go’ he said as he pointed towards the door, I just sighed and tried to leave once again but he grabbed me, again ‘will you stop fucking grabbing me!’ I yelled and pulled away from him then tripped backwards and hit my head on the step and that’s all I remember.
::Johnny’s POV::
‘Oh fuck’ I said and went over to her quickly and I didn’t even notice that Matt was still here until he came over to ‘Cass? Cass?’ I said as I shook her a little, she didn’t move ‘we have to get her to the hospital’ Matt said and I nodded then picked her up and we drove there quickly ‘help!’ I called once we got there and went in through the ER entrance ‘what happened?’ ‘She slipped and hit her head on the stairs’ ‘how long has she been out?’
‘Just 20 minutes’ ‘ok put her here’ he said and I set her on the bed, they started asking me questions as they hooked her up to things ‘does she have any metal in her? We have to take an MRI’ ‘no she’s clean’ I said and he nodded then told the nurses to dress her in a gown and they did so then took her away.
I just paced in the waiting area ‘what happened last night?’ Matt asked and I looked over at him then sighed and sat next to him ‘we were drunk after everyone left her party last night, we changed then drank a little more, from what I remember she gave me a lap dance and then we went upstairs and had sex. When I woke up this morning I didn’t know what to say because I forgot it happened but I told her that we probably shouldn’t tell anyone and she just nodded and left and was out all day.
I tried to talk to her about it but she kept blowing me off, I didn’t mean for her to fall’ I whispered and he nodded a little ‘well, it’s not like you guys are actually related’ ‘yeah I know but I watched her grow up, she practically is my sister’ ‘I know, she’s like my sister to, but she’s not your sister. If you want to try it out, I won’t stop you’ he said and I looked over at him,
he smiled a little, I smiled back and hugged him ‘Mr. Seward?’ I heard and I looked up at the doctor ‘well?’ ‘She’s ok, no fractures or cracks or bleeding, but I'm afraid she has some amnesia’ ‘how bad is it?’ Matt asked and he just sighed a little and asked us to follow him so we did and when we walked into her room she was looking at her tattoo then she looked up
‘Cass, do you know who these guys are?’ the doctor asked as we walked over to her bed and stood next to her, she had a questioning look on her face ‘they look familiar’ she said softly then the rest of the guys and girls came bursting threw her door and she sunk into the bed and gripped the blanket tight ‘guys stop!’ I yelled and they looked at me ‘she doesn’t know who we are’ I whispered as tears came to my eyes, Val hugged me and I just cried on her shoulder a little
‘Cassybear?’ I heard Jimmy whisper, he walked over to her slowly and sat on the side of her bed, she peaked over her covers and looked up at him ‘I'm Jimmy and you're my Cassybear’ he whispered again and she smiled a little, he smiled back then looked over at us, everyone said their name and she just kinda nodded a little then looked over at the doctor
‘I guess just, take her home and let her look around’ he said and I nodded, we all left the room so she could get dressed and when she walked out she walked over to Jimmy and grabbed his hand ‘Ready to go home?’ ‘I guess so’ ‘ok, let’s go guys’ Jimmy said and we all nodded then met at my house.
::Cass’s POV::
We pulled up to a very big house and I got out of the car, this Jimmy person walked me inside with this Johnny person and I just looked around in amazement ‘I live here?’ ‘Yeah, with me’ I heard and I turned to see Johnny standing behind me ‘are you my boyfriend?’ ‘You hadn’t decided yet’ ‘oh’ I said and he nodded then showed me around the house while everyone else showed up
‘and this is your room’ he said when he walked me in, I loved it and I really loved the clothes in the closet ‘wow’ ‘yeah, you kinda have a thing for corsets’ ‘apparently’ I said with a little laugh then continued looking at everything ‘so, why do I live with you?’ I asked as I looked over at him,
He sighed and motioned for me to sit on the bed so I did ‘you're my step sister and I'm in a band so I'm never home, this last tour the guys and I went on was a yearlong. When I came home your mom was being a bitch to you and hitting you so I adopted you and you’ve been living here since then, yesterday was your birthday and we get really drunk and we had sex,
I didn’t know what to say so I didn’t really say anything and you left, I guess you went to get your hair and nails done’ he said and I looked down at my hands to see my beautiful nails then I looked back at him ‘when I tried to talk to you when you came home you tried getting away from my grip and you slipped and hit your head on the step. This was all my fault, I'm so sorry’ he whispered as he looked down at his hands as I processed this
‘Well, its ok I guess, but were not really related so why does it matter whether or not were together?’ I asked and he shrugged a bit ‘you didn’t wanna talk about it’ ‘oh, I'm sorry, I wish I could remember’ ‘its ok, but it is late, why don’t you say good night to everyone and get to bed’ he said and I nodded, we both stood up and walked downstairs into the living room
‘Cass’s gonna go to bed’ Johnny said and I nodded a little then went and hugged everyone, they hugged back and told me to get better, I just nodded again then went back upstairs and looked through all my draws trying to find something to wear. When I finally did I pulled everything on then crawled into the nice big bed I had and I passed out.
