Adoption of the Christ

It was finally Friday and I only had one new project for Art so it’s not like it was going to be hard. We had to make a photo collage of what means the most to us, write a brief paragraph explaining and we had to present it to the class and I wasn’t happy about that because I don’t really enjoy talking in front of everyone but it wasn’t due for two weeks so we had a little time to figure out what we were going to do.

When I got home Johnny was sitting on the couch and I could hear Amy in the kitchen ‘hey’ I said as I walked into the living room ‘hey, we have to go out to dinner with everyone tonight and we have to dress nicely’ ‘ok, when are you guys leaving?’

‘What? Cass you're going with us’ ‘oh I'm sorry! I forgot I was part of this family’ I said then turned and walked upstairs, I threw my bag on the floor after slamming my door and I walked into the bathroom. I stripped and got in the shower because I didn’t take one this morning,

When I got out I dried off then dried and straightened my hair, did my makeup then walked into my room in a towel. I walked over to my dresser and pulled out black and red lace cheeky shorts and put those on then I walked to my closet and pulled on some black over the knee socks,

a black skirt, black and red lace heels then finally a black and red lace corset that matched the shoes. I placed my phone and ID in the top of my corset, pulled on a jacket and went downstairs to see Johnny and Amy were ready and we all got in the car and drove somewhere nice.

When we got there we were the last to arrive and we sat at the table with everyone else, I put my jacket on the back of the chair then sat down and crossed my legs ‘you look pretty’ Jimmy whispered in my ear, I smiled and looked over at him ‘thank you’ I whispered back, he nodded then handed me his menu since he was done with it.

I decided on spaghetti then put the menu down and just kinda tuned everyone out as I stared at my glass of water ‘can I take your orders?’ our waiter asked, everyone, including me, said our orders and he told us it would be about 20 minutes because we’re a large group but he can bring out appetizers and breadsticks for us while we waited.

Long boring story short, we had dinner and desert and when desert was over Matt and Val announced that they were getting married and she was pregnant so everyone clapped and smiled and all that cheerful stuff then we all left. Johnny dropped Amy off and it was quiet the whole way home after that, when we got in I took off my coat and shoes then headed up stairs to change into a big shirt.

When I came back down I saw that Johnny had also changed and was sitting on the couch so I just sat on the other end and watched whatever he was watching ‘want anything to drink?’ I asked as I stood up, he looked up at me and nodded a little, I nodded back then walked into the kitchen and over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water for me and a beer for him. I walked back into the living room after taking the top off his beer and I handed it to him then sat on the couch cross legged.

‘I'm sorry’ Johnny whispered after a few minutes, I looked over at him ‘sorry for what?’ ‘Basically abandoning you for Amy’ he said softly as he looked over at me, I looked down and played with the tab on my soda can then nodded a little

‘it’s ok’ I whispered but didn’t look up at him ‘no it’s not, I love you and I miss you and I know I'm the only family you have, I'm sooo sorry that I've been so shity to you the past few weeks’ he said as he moved closer to me and pushed my hair behind my ear some,

I looked over at him and nodded ‘please forgive me?’ ‘I dunno’ ‘please, I’ll do anything’ ‘anything?’ I asked as I looked up at him, he nodded and I bit my lip a little ‘can I get my belly button pierced?’ ‘Yes’ ‘can I get another tattoo?’

‘Yes, you can do whatever you want baby girl just please forgive me, I've missed you so much’ he said desperately, I nodded and smiled at him ‘I forgive you’ ‘thank god!’ he breathed out then hugged me, I hugged back and smiled then I leaned against his chest a little.

‘How’s school going?’ ‘It’s ok, I have a new project for Art class but it’s not due for two weeks’ ‘what do you have to do?’ ‘Make a photo collage of what means the most to us and write a little paragraph explaining and then we have to present it’

‘I see, what are you going to do yours on?’ ‘I haven’t decided’ I said and he nodded then we continued watching tv together until it got late ‘what do you wanna do tomorrow?’ I asked and he shrugged a little

‘I think I might take my camera out and walk around taking pictures for my project’ ‘ok, I think I might get the guys to come hang out, I’ve been blowing them off for Amy to’ he said and I nodded a little then sat up and stretched ‘I'm gonna pass out’

‘yeah me to’ he said and we both walked upstairs together after locking up and turning everything off. We walked up to our rooms and hugged ‘good night Johnny’ ‘good night Cass’ he said softly and we walked to our rooms and passed out.
