Chapter 2
Matt’s P.O.V
We walked over to Erin’s house after an hour or so wanting to give Jimmy and Izzy a heads up that Erin was back. There was a lot to take in and it had been a really long time. Jimmy and Izzy had redecorated and they were even more in love than before. When we walked in the two of them were playing video games and from what I saw Izzy was beating the shit out of Jimmy in Call of Duty. I heard them yell obscenities at one another.
“ahem!!!! Earth to Iz and Jim!!! BIG NEWS!” I boomed towards then end making the two of them jump and they glared at us because we interrupted.
“Why do you two look so damn happy” Jimmy said loudly and confused. I just laughed and Val started tearing up.
“Erin is back and..” Val said and Izzy shot up running around the room getting stuff ready to see her. I grabbed her by the shoulders to stop her.
“Iz you have to be careful with her… she is pregnant and we are pretty sure that it is Zack’s. We will go and see her soon but give the two of them some time to reconnect… It has been a very long time” I said and she took a deep breath and smiled really big.
“I am calm and I will wait and try to keep my major happiness to a minimum.. Really she is pregnant?” Izzy asked and I laughed and hugged her and just swayed a little. She sat back down and resumed her game time with Jimmy. Val and I sat down watching them play and we just laughed. I heard a knock on the door and walked over and when I opened the door it was Johnny, Lacey…. And Gena… In all the excitement I forgot that she had come back into Zack’s life… I mean they weren’t dating but they were close and who knows how she could take Erin being back..
“Hey everyone come on in! Have you seen the rest of the band? Cause we have some huge news!” I said.
“Nah but I will text them and get them over here. Do you want me to text Zack as well?” Johnny asked pulling out his phone. I shook my head and saw that Gena looked a little bummed out that I didn’t want Zack to come over here. After about 20 minutes the rest of the guys were here and they all sat down watching Izzy and Jimmy play. But I knew it was time to tell them that Erin was back.. Gena wasn’t going to understand because she never knew her but she would soon find out how much that girl means to Zack. Izzy paused the game noticing that I was getting ready to tell the band what was going on.
“Everyone please be quiet so Matt can tell you the good news!” Izzy yelled and everyone shot up in their seats waiting and getting a little impatient. I fidgeted my hands and was nervous.. Erin was back and she was definitely different but I really was wondering how everyone was going to take this. I took a deep breath and right before I was going to tell everyone Zack walked through the door and smiled. Izzy shot up and hugged him tightly taking him off guard.
Zack’s P.O.V
--1 hour earlier--
I was on my knees placing light kisses on my wife’s growing stomach.. A son.. I was going to be a father. I sat there and rubbed her stomach and then stood up and motioned for her to sit down since she was probably tired. She sat down on the couch and I heard a sigh of relief as she sat down. I sat down and she gave me a huge smile.
“How far along are you?” I asked her while pushing some hair behind her ear.
“I am almost to six months now” She said rubbing her stomach. I could tell that she really really loved our unborn son. She smiled at me and I kissed her and placed my hand on her stomach and I felt the little boy kick.
“I love you so much; where did you go? I was so worried that you were never going to come back to me Erin” I said and she sighed and knew that she was going to have to explain this to me. She took a deep breath and adjusted herself towards me.
“That dagger that I gave to you… the one that you stabbed into my heart stripped me of everything that I was… I died completely in every way… but I did it to throw off Papa Gates. I hit a snag along the way because my father who is now the Grim Reaper wouldn’t let me leave so it took a little longer to get back than I expected” She said and looked like at the end she was running out of oxygen. I sat there and rubbed her back trying to keep her calm.
“I am sorry I am just so exhausted; that sounds strange seeing as how I was dead for a long time but just hormones and pregnancy… and being human.. I am just soo tired.” She said making me laugh and smile a little because she was adorable. I got up and grabbed her hand and led her up to the bedroom and she instantly lied down and I saw her close her eyes and fall asleep on her back. I went and sat down next to her and grabbed her shoes and pulled them off. I rubbed her stomach and kissed her lips and left the room quietly turning off the lights. I poured myself a drink and took it down really fast and ran over to tell Izzy and Jimmy the news. When I walked into Erin’s old house I was greeted by Izzy hugging me which was a little confusing to me. She backed away and then Gena ran up and hugged me and then kissed me and I pulled back. She seemed a little sad that I pulled away but I was still super excited that I was going to be a dad.
“Matt was just about to tell us some good news” Izzy said and Matt came over and hugged me.
“Congrats man” He whispered in my ear which let me know that he had seen Erin already. I pulled back and Val hugged me gently and pulled away and she rubbed my back and I figured that I should be the one to deliver the news.
“Alright first off Erin is back… she is at my place sleeping right now” I said and was about to go on but Gena stopped me.
“Who the hell is Erin?” She asked and I sighed knowing that she wasn’t going to take this well at all. I was worried to tell her because she just kind of strolled back into my life and I think that she expected a lot out of me even though I never told her that I was going to come back to her.
“Gena now is not the time for this” Matt said to her and I just took a deep breath and realized that it was time to tell the truth.
“Look Gena I never told you that we were back together and this may be hard for you to hear but Erin is my wife. And before you interrupted me I was going to tell everyone the good news…. In about 3 months Erin and I are going to welcome our baby boy into the world” I said happily and everyone shot up in joy and they just seemed extremely happy…. Except for Gena of course. I turned to her and the oddest thing happened… her eyes flashed this red color and then she disappeared. Everyone quieted down and I ran back over to my house and up the stairs opening the bedroom door and found Erin still safe and sound in the bed… I walked over to her and kissed her forehead… what the hell was Gena and where did she disappear to?
Something didn’t seem right…
Now that I knew I was going to be a father I was even more worried for Erin’s safety.
She had a plan though…
But that had Papa Gates written all over it…

Zack’s P.O.V
