"Yo, Sky, we've got to get going soon, so you need to get up." Kari yelled from the bathroom across the hall from my room. I opened my eyes and immediately regretted it. I squinted against the sunshine peeking through my maroon curtains. I moaned and slowly stepped out of bed onto the freezing cold.
"Where are we going?" I asked, as I stepped into the bathroom to pee.
"Uh, class, smart one." She smiled and patted me on the head as I looked at her in the mirror. I scrunched my face up in disgust. School? Ew.
I sighed, "At least it's for something I actually want to do." I turned on the shower and stripped to my underwear.
"True dat." She pursed her lips and layered on some pink lip gloss. She turned to her Ipod and turned on some band that I've never heard of.
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at her while taking off my underwear, "Who's this?" I asked stepping into the shower letting the water splash across my head.
She was quiet before she ripped the curtain open, "Oh. My. God. Skylar, you've never heard of Avenged Sevenfold? " She yelled, her eyes wide with astonishment.
I looked at her, surprised, "No?"
She looked as if she were about to pass out, "Oh my, it's a good thing they have a concert next in L.A.," She exclaimed, "I'm bringing you with me," she began but I was already shaking me head.
"No, I am not going to a rock concert." I said shutting the curtain once more. She ripped it back open, "Damn it, Kari I'm trying to take a shower!"
"No! You have to come with me! I'm not giving you any choice!" She practically screamed.
I rolled my eyes and shut the curtain again, There was no way I was going to a rock concert with Kari.

Class was long and uneventful, we sculpted a fish, oh yeah big deal, right? Whatever. Now I'm walking to my apartment door with a thousand art supplies in my arms. I grunted as I reached into my purse for my keys, "Why didn't I have these out already?" I scolded myself finally retrieving them and opening the door.
The apartment was empty with the exception of my cat, Roger. "Hey baby," I cooed, petting him on the head.
I stumbled over him and eventually made it to my room, letting my things fall to the bed. "Phew." I sighed, walking back to the front room.
I groaned when I saw the tickets laying on the coffee table, "No Kari," I growled, picking them up. She even got back stage passes. I rubbed my forehead feeling m headache coming on.
"Oh, hey, you're home early," A voice said from behind me, causing me to jump ten feet into the air. I spun around and rolled my eyes when I realized who it was, it was Kari's...boyfriend, I guess you could call him.
He was cute, in a little kid sort of way. I think Kari just felt bad for him, that's how she is though, she'll feel bad for someone and go out with them, but she'll never talk to them.
"Damn it, Gregory, what do you want? Kari's not here." I mumbled, setting down the tickets.
"Oh, okay sorry, I think maybe she was off class today, my bad." His face visibly fell as he walked out the door.
I rolled my eyes at is pathetic emotions, "Kari, you little asshole, you're really going to make me go aren't you?" I asked to no one, looking down at the tickets again.
"Yep, I am." I jumped at Kari's voice.
"Jeez Louise , Kari, I thought you were in class!" I exclaimed, clutching my chest.
She chuckled, taking out her headphones, "Sorry, class let out early and I was on my way when I saw Greg in here, so I hid until he left."
I rolled my eyes at her, "That's mean, why don't you break up with him?"
"I'm going, the things I do for friendship." I growled as I walked away to pack some stuff.


Kari's P.O.V.

I was so happy that Skylar said yes. I watched as she walked away to go pack some things. Her skinny waist seemed skinnier than it was a week ago. The weight in my chest grew, the worry I had for her was unbearable. She barely eat anymore, hasn't eaten a lot since she found out Charlie was cheating on her. A whole month went by while she sat in her room crying. It was a miracle when she finally came out with a 'I don't care' attitude. Back to her old self, she continued school and she becoming a great artist, I mean she always has been but now she's unbelievable.
I looked down at the tickets and grinned like an idiot. I couldn't wait until I met Zacky Vengeance. He was gorgeous I couldn't even. understand how beautiful a person could be.
"So, its tomorrow night?" Skylar asked from behind me.
I nodded, "Yeah and we're going to spend a couple of nights there, to get away from everything. "
She sighed, "Okay, just need to know what I need to pack." She slowly made her way back to her room.


Skylar's P.O.V.

"Oh, you need to listen to some of their music," Kari announced, barging into my room.
I rolled my eyes, my signature move it seemed, "Fine," I mumbled holding my hand out for her Ipod.
She gladly handed to me and sauntered out.
I pulled out my headphones and plugged them in picking the first song she had on there.

I was astonished by the end of the song, that is definitely not what I had expected. I could actually understand what they were saying. It wasn't a bad melody either.
