Dancing Girl

Zacky POV

“Ahhhhh fuck that hurts!!” I yell.
“I’m so sorry”, Katelyn laughs, after she had jumped on me. “Cannot help it, I’m so happy! And I don’t know the exact reason for it, which makes me even happier!!”
I laugh as I try to make sense out of her sentences that she is saying.
“I think the love is affecting you in some sort of way” I joke as I toss a pillow to her.
“Ha ha..funny” she throws the pillow back to me. “Next time I won’t tell you anything, I just keep on make your life miserable with boring stories instead of entertaining ones!”
“I am joking! God, I will never understand you women! You drive me nuts!” I tell her, crossing my arms.
“Ohh, is that the reason why you haven’t met the lady yet?!” she asks me playfully.
“Yes, that is why. And to keep on enjoying life! I mean look at Brian, he’s being whipped by you...he’s a puss!!”
She gasps at my remark, making me laugh hard. But damn, she jumps on me again making me yell in agony. I flip her off as she sticks her tongue out at me.
“You two are like children when you get together!” Matt remarks once he enters the hospital room.
“She started it!”
“No, he did!! He started it!” she yells, pointing her finger at me.
“See what I’m talking about?” Matt tells Nina, as she bursts out laughing.

The whole group enters the hospital room, all in good moods. Brian makes Katelyn get up so she sits on him. Arin, Kim, Johnny and Matt sit on my bed, while Jason, Matt Berry, Laura and Nina get chairs and surround themselves around my hospital bed.
“Ohhh…I feel loved!” I tell them.
“It’s just a phase, don’t get used to it!” Katelyn replies.
“Seriously Brian, her tongue is getting out of hand! You should control her, no?!” I tell him, narrowing my eyes at him.
“Okay, if you insist!” He replies, as he leans forward to her and start kissing her. Maybe a bit too passionately in front of us.
“My eyes! Call the doctor, please!!” I yell.
We all bust out laughing, as some of us share other jokes and experiences amongst us. It’s good to have them next to me, they sure know how to take care of me and to make me feel better. They’re the best!

“So, did they tell you anything on when you can leave this goddamn hospital?” Jason asks me.
“They’re not quite sure, but they told me I should be out by tomorrow” I tell them all excited.
“Ohhh yeah finally!!” they start cheering.
“It’s about time! I mean 2 weeks stuck in a bed, inside a hospital, damn that should suck!” Matt says.
“Tell me about it! I’m bored as hell! Thank God they let Brian give me that guitar last week, at least I have something to pass the time. During the first week I was going INSANE!!”
“Yeah I don’t blame you buddy! But come on, you should be out in no time now!” Matt Berry tells me as he pats me on my shoulder.
“How is your wound?” Nina asks me.
“Oh it’s good. Doesn’t trouble me much. But it is still sensitive and your friend over here Ms. K. doesn’t seem to understand it and still fucking jump on me!” I slowly say as I look over Katelyn. She’s standing there with a huge grin on her face, eyes closed.
“Yes, that’s me!” she chuckles, “Oh come on! What can I do huh?!”
“Like not jump on me and leave me alone?” I tell her as the others are getting entertained, laughing hard.
“If something bad happens to you, I won’t be the one who visits you the most!” she crosses her arms and closes her eyes as soon as she says that.

As I am about to reply, two nurses come into the room.
“Visitation time is over. You need to leave please”.
“Damn, already?!” Jason sulks.
“Yeah I think so, shit. Listen, before you come here again, I will call one of you and tell you whether I’ll be home tomorrow or not” I tell them.
“Yeah man that would be great. Call me with any updated, all right?” Matt tells me.
“Will do. Anyways, thanks guys. You’re the best!” I tell them, all smiling.
“We know!” they say altogether, it’s like it was planned. They all burst out laughing while I stand all serious in my bed.
“Unbelievable!”
Got to love them.


Katelyn POV

“Move it to the left, just a little bit though”, I tell Brian.
“Like this?” he replies.
“No, no, no that is too much! So a bit to the right, just a tiny bit!”
He sighs, as I narrow my eyes at him. “How about this?”
“A bit more to the right. Almost there! Be careful! Yes, yes a bit more…..tiny bit more! Whoa be careful Brian! What did I tell you? Now, to the left, for the 100th time!”
“Oh for fuck’s sake, it’s a fucking banner Katelyn! Its motive is to be hung up and for the people to be able to see it, not to be EXACTLY in the center of the goddamn wall!” he says in a pissed voice.
I put my hands on my hips as he looks down at me from the ladder.
“You done Haner? Good, now move it to the left just a little bit! If you listen to me you’d do it perfectly in no time, no big deal!”
He sighs as he turns around and puts the banner back up.
“THERE!! RIGHT THERE! It’s exactly in the middle, perfect!” I start screaming all pleased.
“FINALLY! Now can you handle me the hammer and the nails?” he’s still pissed.
I do not move, I just cross my arms and look at him, well right now I’m looking at his perfect round behind. He looks back as it is evident he is struggling to hold on the balance and the banner at the same time.
“What?” he asks me.
“Didn’t you forget something?” I lift my eyebrow at him.
He sighs for the third time and calmly he says, “Please babe, I would like the hammer and nails”
“That’s better!” I hand him his tools and he puts the banner up. Perfect!

He gets down from the ladder and I give Brian a bottle of beer.
“Well-deserved”, I tell him as I put my arms around his waist.
He puts one of his arms around mine and after drinking some beer he tells me, “Seriously you drive me crazy! But I love it” he kisses me on my lips, “and I love you even more!” and kisses me yet again. This time I grant him access in my mouth and immediately he deepens the kiss, our tongues dancing together. I can’t help myself as a moan escapes me.
“Okay we need to stop right now or else I won’t give a fuck of this surprise, banners and shit but I’d just take you to my bedroom and fuck your brains out!” he whispers seductively in my ears.
Hearing what he just said makes me blush and I smirk at him as I decide to continue with him. “Maybe if you’ll behave I’ll surprise you during the night!”
He stares at me, mouth wide open, “What is that supposed to mean?”
“Uh-uh-uh, I cannot tell you now. I have a surprise party to organise, and even you mister! So get back to work!” I give him a peck on his lips and turn around to see what is left for us to do.
This morning Zacky had texted Matt that today he is going to get out of the hospital after all. So as a group we decided to surprise him by organizing a welcome home party at Brian’s house. Everyone is here, helping out. Matt and Nina went to pick up Zacky and afterwards they should take him somewhere else so as to give us more time to prepare.

I am the organizer: making sure everything is going as planned. And thank God that the rest are helping out, I think they are all excited to see Zacky all well and alive after the scare we got that he has died on the operating table!
Johnny and Laura and in charge of the food, Brian is in charge of the booze of course, Arin and Kim are in charge of the playlist and the people invited for the party, and the Berry brothers are in charge of some props and fireworks. Yes, fireworks. They were the ones who suggested it, they just told me they want to go “all-out” during the celebrations. And boy, they will! At first I was afraid that they are going to do something illegal but they assured me they got permission from the police.
Right now people are already arriving at Brian’s house, and I feel some nerves getting to me.

“Hey babe” Brian whispers in my ears as he stands behind me.
“Now it’s not the time Brian!” I say with a panic voice.
“Whoa, what’s wrong?” he asks me as he turns me around to face him.
“Everything. I mean we aren’t finished yet and guests are already arriving. What if the food is not enough? What if we don’t have enough booze? What if something goes wrong with the fireworks? What if Zacky is overwhelmed and does not like it? What if…” I say in one breath until Brian buts me off by placing one finger on my lips, chuckling while he does so.
“What’s so funny brown eyes? Do you think this is funny?” I tell him, all serious.
“You’re cute when you’re all worried”, he chuckles again which makes me roll my eyes.
“Listen. Don’t worry, everything will be fine! If food is not enough, we’ll order pizza! I doubt booze doesn’t serve us I mean have you seen the kitchen?! But if not we just go to Matt’s house and bring some of his booze. And everything else we be fine, stop worrying Katelyn! And I’m sure Zacky is going to love the surprise!” he tells me with a reassuring tone.
“What if he isn’t in the mood for partying Brian? Maybe he wants to rest after spending two long weeks at the hospital!” I tell him again.
He starts laughing and shakes his head, “Are we talking about the same Zacky?! He’s never not in the mood for partying!! I’m sure he’s going to be dead drunk tonight, and dancing in his underwear! Trust me! Here, have a drink and stop worrying please!” he hands me a drink and kisses my cheek.
Okay, maybe a drink will help me feel better.

Most of the guests are here, and everyone is having a good time.
I receive a text so I bring out my phone to read it. It’s from Nina.

Hey K, we’re almost there. So be prepared!

Oh damn! My nerves hit me again so I take another drink to try and calm down. Quickly I go and find Brian.
“They’re coming Brian. Right now. Can you tell them to quiet down? I mean I’m shy to tell them myself!”
“Okay, I can take care of that” he tells me and then he faces the people.
“YO MOTHERFUCKERS! LISTEN UP”, he yells and then he continues with a lower voice, “My girlfriend wants to tell you something”.
I narrow my eyes at him and hit him in his shoulder.
“Ass”
“You’re welcome babe!”
“Okay people, Zacky is almost here so you know what to do! Lights off, everybody quiet or I’ll beat your asses!”
Instantly we all crouched down, and waited in complete silence for Zacky to enter Brian’s house. In a couple of seconds we could hear him talking loudly with Nina and Matt as they approached the door.
“I still don’t understand why I had to change and come here again. I mean, wasn’t I presentable enough for you guys?” Zacky asks.
“You were stinking! You had to have a shower dude!” Matt replies, making us chuckle.

Slowly they opened the door and as usual Matt called out for Brian since it is his home.
“SURPRISE!!!” we all yell together, almost scaring Zacky.
Brian points to the banner, “Welcome back buddy! You were missed!”
