Dancing Girl

Brian POV

We just finished brunch, and God that was fun! Despite those pictures! I was right, when we got out of the pool that bright white light WAS flash, and damn I’m a bit mortified. Not like Katelyn though…she seemed really embarrassed and I had to make sure she’s okay. She stuffed the photos in her bra and told me she’s going to burn them. Damn, she’s so self-conscious and she doesn’t have to be. Little does she know is that I have 2 photos of the bunch, I put them in my pants and I will keep them. Let’s face is, we look good and damn she’s got a body to die for.
Something else that happened….Jason being flirty with Katelyn and later commenting on how she’s my girl. I truly hate when a guy flirts with her, but she’s not officially my girl. Honestly, I don’t know where we stand right now and I’d wish to know! I’m afraid of jumping into a relationship again..the last one ended on a really bad note and I don’t want that to happen again. I like what I have with Katelyn, but is it enough for her? Is it enough of me? I can’t stop thinking about her and I’m finding myself to look for her, to spend more time with her and to meet my needs much more regularly.

“Yo. Here you are!” I hear Matt from behind me. He sits next to me on the couch, handing me a beer.
“Thanks man. So, what’s up?!” I ask him, downing some of the beer.
“I need to talk to you.” He looks at me with a serious look. What’s wrong now?
“So yesterday Johnny gave me a letter, which was sent to me and he found it on my door. From them. They know everything about us Haner, fuck they know where I live. Anyways, in this letter…” he pauses for a second, looking lost.
“What’s in this letter Matt?” I ask him seriously. I need to know.
“They mention that both Katelyn and Nina are in danger. That if we’re going to protect one they will take the other. Thus they mention that we should let Katelyn visit Rick in jail, to avoid for this to happen”.
I sigh at this information that Matt gives me. This situation is getting worse by the second.
“You know we can’t do that Matt”.
“I’m not telling you what we should do. I’m telling you what they asked me to do. Of course I’m not letting Katelyn walking into that prison and seeing that prick again. But now even Nina is in danger. I don’t want anything bad to happen to her Brian. I mean this”.

He stands up and looks out of the window while drinking some of his beer. I go after him and notice that he’s watching the girls swimming in the pool.
“You like her, don’t you Matt?” I ask him. I’ve seen the way he reacts around girls, and lately he’s reminding me of that period he was still with Val.
He nods at my question and sigh, looking at me while giving his back to the window. “I never expected this to happen Brian. And when I read the letter I felt sick. I can’t let anything bad to happen to her. I want to protect her at all cost. We need to do something, but I don’t know what. I don’t know what’s best to do without risking something, without putting others into danger”.
“We need to take one step at a time Matt. That helps us to be careful and to think straight without making mistakes. First I think we should think of something to show these assholes that we aren’t afraid of them and we’re not intimidated by their letters.”
“What are you suggesting?” he asks me, not sounding too convincing.
“Let’s go out. Us two with Katelyn and Nina. If we do this we will send the message that we are still protecting the both of them, unlike what they suggested”.

He coughs on some of the beer that he was drinking. “You mean like a double date?”
“If you want to call it that, yeah a double date I guess”.
“I don’t know Brian. I’m not sure where I stand with Nina, let alone going on a date with her. I mean I….”
I cut him off. “You mean you don’t know if you’re ready after what happened with Val. I’m right with you bro. I’m not sure either, what happened to you with Val is similar to what happened between me and Michelle. But I think we need to do this. And a double date sounds better than doing it separately”.
He turns around and starts looking out of the window again. I do the same and look at Katelyn, swimming and having fun with Nina. Why can’t every day be like that, just having fun without any dangers? I have to admit I like her, I’m not sure what she’ll think about the date but I think we have to. Fuck, she makes me so unsure and uncertain, she’s completely into my head.
“Fine”, Matt says, brining me back to Earth, “Fine I agree with your idea. Fucking hell” and drinks some more beer.
“Sweet!” I yell while smiling, hitting him on his back.

Now….what to do for our double date? And when to do it? But the biggest question of all….how to tell the girls about it? Shit, I need to fucking drink.


Rick POV

43 days down, 298 days to go. One day I will get there, to 0 days to go. Until then I have to stay in this fucking cell.

“Come on you. You have a visitor”.
A visitor today? This should be good.
In hand cuffs I leave my cell and the policemen guard me from both sides. Before I enter the visiting room, they remove the handcuffs and open the door for me. I enter and notice 5 policemen across the room, cameras everywhere. There are more prisoners talking to their loved ones.
“That is your table Rick. Move, you only have a couple of minutes”.
I look over to my table and nod at the person sitting there. I move along and sit down, across him. He’s wearing black from head to toe. I have told him a million times to where something different when he comes here, to attract less attention from the policemen. Hard-headed pig!

“I wasn’t expecting any visits from you. Well, the visit I’m expecting is from a beautiful girl, rather then you. So I take it that we still have some problems huh?” I start.
“We are doing just like you told us, we even started the letters. Up till now we have sent a letter to the quiet one and another to the leader. A couple of weeks ago we sent one letter to Brian via a friend of his. No movements from their side yet, sir. And we have threatened the leader that both girls are our target”.
“Then I guess we have to take it to another level, don’t you think?” I ask him.
“What should we do, sir?” he asks me.
“Let me think about it for a minute”.
What should we do? I really have thought that they would have us have Katelyn again. I’m starting to think that they are really a group of their words. Fuck! I really hate when I’m not controlling a situation. I need to set my head in the game again, and let it be my puppet show. What should I do?

“Do you have the pictures here with you?” I ask.
“Yes sir”. He brings out a big brown envelope and start taking out several pictures. Every pictures shows the group. By time we have learnt their names. Every single one of them. First picture of the quiet one – Arin, then a picture of the goofy one – Johnny, another of the party animal who tends to like baseball – Zacky, another one of the leader all muscled up – Matt, and last but not least, the biggest dick of them all – Brian. Today I can see more pictures. A picture of the brothers – Jason and Matt Berry. They hang out with the gang practically every day. There was another picture of the strippers going in a house – Laura, Nina and my stripper, my only stripper – Katelyn.
“This one is new” I tell him.
“Yes, her name is Laura. Lately she’s been hanging out with the group thanks to this guy, Johnny. And last time I have seen another girl hanging with them; dark hair, skinny and tall. I have my guys checking her out and see who she is.”
“Hmmmm, interesting”, I tell him. The situation is getting better and better.

“You only have 5 minutes left” the first policeman comes along to tell us. I glare him an angry look. I need to figure out what to do with this douchebags.
“Sir, not to push you or anything. But you have to tell me what we should do. Time is pressing us.” He tells me.
I look at the pictures again and an idea comes along in my head.
“You can send one last letter to this one, as a warning. Then, hurt this one. If they persist, kill him” pointing at the picture. I told them I am the one who controls. This should show them who the boss is.
He nods at my request, “Yes sir. Your wish will be granted. Always a pleasure working with you”. He stands up and leaves the room.

The policemen come along and grab my hands to handcuffs them for another time. As I enter my cell I can’t help but smile at the visions that haunt me.
Killing one of them? Oh hell, Katelyn shall be coming running towards me in no time.
