Matt POV

“What is this?” asks me Nina while holding the letter in her hand.
I knew it was not a good idea to place that damn letter in my pants, but then again, I put it there. She’s not looking pleased, far from it. Fuck, I’m screwed.
“Nina…”
She cuts me off for the second time, “I’m just hoping that you have a good goddamn reason Matt, far different than the one I have in my mind right now.”
I sit down and as soon as I try to get up she steps one step backwards, shaking her head, “No need to stand up. Just answer me, straight and forward, simple as that”.
I stay quiet for a minute, thinking of how I should tell her, not just about this letter but for the other one as well. Then it hits me, there is no easy way to say it.

“That letter was addressed to me, Johnny found it on my door as he was coming into my home this night”, I stop again, trying to figure out the words to hurt her less.
“Go on”, she says, still standing up, still looking at me coldly – totally different than the look she was giving me just a couple of minutes ago.
“The letter is from…..Rick’s men”. She puts down her hand, closing her eyes and looks at me in disbelief. She looks crushed and betrayed, and damn I hate seeing her like this. She turns around but quickly I stand up and hold her from her shoulders, although she shrugs my hands away.
”Please Nina just let me explain everything”
She does not look at me but opens her mouth, “I just can’t believe it right now”, she then turns to face me, an angry look on her face, “Why the fuck would you keep this from me? Fuck, I know that I’m not your girlfriend or anything more than your friend in that matter, but damn, I would have expected at least for you to tell me! Especially after all that we have been through!” she yells, hitting me on my chest.
I grab both of her skinny hands tightly in just of one hand of mine to stop her, “Would you give me a chance to explain and tell you everything?”
“I don’t want to hear it Matt, I just fucking don’t. All I want is to get the hell out of here”, she throws the letter at me and runs away from the room.


Nina POV

I just can’t believe this right now! Fuck and I thought he liked me back…screw that idea, he doesn’t. He clearly does not. He didn’t even tell me he got letters from Katelyn’s ex and his crew.

I needed to get away from him, that’s why I ran out of his bedroom. I run downstairs, and I notice it’s much quieter than earlier on. Where are they? I find Brian on his phone, Katelyn sleeping on him.
“She couldn’t handle the alcohol huh?” I ask him, trying to calm down from what just happened upstairs.
“Nope she couldn’t but she did quite well! I mean I’m impressed, she drank almost like me! Listen, can you bring a towel or some sheets to put on her body please? I can’t get up, as you can see”, he tells me, looking at Katelyn, removing some of her hair that was on her face.
I do as he asked, and he whispers ‘Thank you’ to me. I sit down in the kitchen, pouring some water for me. I feel Brian looking at him, so without looking at him I tell him, “Spill it”.
“So you finished from your steamy session upstairs with the one and only?”
I look at him, seeing him smirking at me. “Don’t want to talk about it” and I drink some more water.
“What happened? You don’t seem too thrilled!” he asks me, looking concerned.
“I said I don’t want to talk about it Brian, please”.

At that moment Matt comes into the kitchen. I feel my stomach crunching and I look away from him. I continue drinking some more water until I feel his body passing by mine, touching my back. He sits next to me and pours some water for himself.
Should I let him explain everything?
We stand in complete silence for a couple of minutes, even Brian was not talking.

“Explain everything”, I tell Matt, getting up from my stool and start walking towards his bedroom.


Matt POV

Finally, she’s letting me explain about everything. I don’t know how she’s going to react, and my gut feeling is telling me that it’s not going to pleasant. But I have to. She deserves to know the truth.
She enters my bedroom before me, so I close the door behind me and head towards the bed. She is already sitting down at the edge of the bed, and I sit in front of her. I go to hold her hand but she quickly removes it and puts it on her lap.
“Start, and tell me everything. Don’t leave anything out” she tells me seriously.

“To be completely honest with you, this wasn’t the first letter written by them”
“What do you mean? Obviously there’s the one Alexandra had showed us”, she says with a low voice.
“Besides that one. Arin today came to my house and brought a letter which was addressed to him”. She says nothing, closing her eyes. She bites her lower lip and then slowly she opens her eyes again. I can see her eyes being filled with tears.
“Don’t say anything Nina, just hear me out please”, I grab her hand but she removes it one more time.
“I didn’t say a word. So, continue”, she whispers, even lower voice than before.
“Basically he found this letter at his house. They wrote how they know that Katelyn is back and they know about Brian’s song, Dear God. And they even told Brian that soon he shall break his heart again because they will find Katelyn.”
A tear strolls down Nina’s cheek, breaking even my heart. I don’t want to hurt her, but I know I’m going to continue doing so.

“Then, tonight Johnny came into my house with this letter in hand, telling me it was stuck to my door. I put it away quickly so no-one will notice, and I read it on my own. This particular one was addressed to me, me only. They do not mention Brian.”
“What is written in this letter Matt?” she asks me, still with tears in her eyes.
“I…..I don’t think you should know that”. She sighs deeply at me comment, so I continue, “It’s not that I don’t want to tell you but I don’t want to put more people in danger. I care about you and I don’t want anything bad to happen to you!”
“Damn, so tell me what the fuck is written in this goddamn letter! I don’t care what happens, they can come and kidnap me for all I care, but I want to know Matt and I want to know now!” she says in a loud voice.
“You might not care but I do. I do care about you and I do care about your well-being!”
“Fine, congratulations for how caring you are! If you truly care about me give me the goddamn letter. And if you don’t, I will take it from you one way or another!” she tells me in cold voice again.
“Nina, please I……” she cuts me off.
“What’s gonna be?!” and she gives me her hand. I hate seeing her like this, so I decide to give her the letter. “That’s better!”

She starts reading it aloud for me to hear, one more time.


A letter for you, you’re a special one that’s for sure.
People might find you as the buff one, the one with the strong muscles that can tear everything apart, the one with the dimples that can melt every girl on the planet by just one stupid smile.
A reminder: you CANNOT take care of Katelyn forever. Especially now that you’re distracted by being the whore of the other stripper….Miss N. She’s playing you around her fingers man! You need to man the hell up!
Anyways, back to the point.
You cannot take care of two pretty ladies/strippers at the same time. If one does not go missing, the other one might.
Taking care of Nina, Katelyn might go missing; taking care of Katelyn, Nina might go missing.
Are you still trying to be the superhero you think you are, the savior? Or are you going to open your mind and let us take Katelyn to Rick and give her the opportunity for a heart-to-heart conversation with Rick at the prison?
You have to decide. Let the decision time, well, the game, begins!


By the end of this letter Nina was practically sobbing. Once she is done, she throws it on the mattress and steps backwards on the bed.
“This letter can’t be true! It’s just a sick joke! Maybe from you, to hide the true letter! It just can’t be!” she says in a shaky voice. “It can’t be true”.
