I grab the phone and dial Nina’s number. I wait for a while, but no-one gets the phone. I try Matt’s number, the same result.

“They’re not picking up their phones?” she asks me, looking a bit worried.

I decide to phone Zacky instead. At first he doesn’t believe me, he thinks I’m phoning him on purpose. So I put the phone on speaker. I motion Katelyn to say something to him.

I butt in. “Okay Zacky. So that is why I called you. I tried calling Matt and Nina but it was for nothing. Can you call someone else?”
“Sure will do so. Nice to hear your voice Katie, I will give you a big warm hug when I see you”. Katelyn starts laughing at his remark, whereas I looked blankly at the phone. What is so funny about it?
“Bye Zack!” Katelyn shouts over the phone.

I relax back on the couch, and Katelyn does the same next to me. I look at her closely and cannot help but smile at her perfection. I’m still in awe, still can’t believe that’s she’s back.
“What?” she says, covering her face with her hands.
