Dancing Girl

Matt POV

Wow. So much happened this night. After a long time, I had some pleasure time with a woman, none other than Nina. I’ve always found her attractive. I mean let’s face it, she’s a gorgeous girl I’m not going to lie. And she’s a sassy one, always straight to the point. And I like that in a female. Before tonight, I never considered sleeping with her, well, I never considered sleeping with anyone in that matter. What Val did shattered my heart and I got it in my head that I won’t let that happen to me ever again. But tonight, while I was talking with Nina, there was something with her which I haven’t seen in other women. I don’t know what that is yet, but it made me open my eyes and like her even more. The sex with her, damn, the woman is skilled. I will never forget it. Too bad it’s just a one night stand.

And too bad it ended on such note. Instead of having another hot and steamy round, she got a call from Katelyn. Apparently Alexandra went to Brian’s place this night. That should not be good. I don’t know much about her. All I know is that she came with Andrew and went on a date with Brian. He shocked us when he told us he went for it and he didn’t share much about what happened with her. I was so fucking sure that he had a thing for Katelyn. Maybe I was wrong, or he’s trying to avoid it. I’m the one who understand Brian the most: both of us had our heart broken, during times we thought everything was going well with our girls. And both of us agree not to let other girls mess with our hearts again. If something happened between the two of them I don’t know. But for Alexandra to show up to his place in the middle of the night, I bet that yes, something did happen. Or maybe she’s a psycho bitch.

From the phone call I could tell that Nina was upset and worried for Katelyn.
“I can’t believe it! I thought he liked her, why would he do such a thing?! Damn, if he would be in front of me right now, I’ll cut off his balls in one go! I warned him not to hurt Katelyn!” she says, looking really pissed. And I get her. I am feeling angry as well.
“We’re not sure what happened in the date, so let’s not jump to conclusions ourselves.”
“Matt, I know Brian is your friend and everything. But you actually believe that nothing happened between them? Then why did she go to his place?”
“Honestly I don’t know Nina”, I stand up from the bed and look outside the balcony. The sun is already up, but it’s still very early in the morning.
“Can I ask you a question Matt? Be honest”, she asks me, coming next to me.
I nod, “Sure. Trust me I’ll be honest with you”.
“Is Brian a womanizer or a one-woman sort of guy?” she looks at me with a very serious look.
I know the answer to this question. Since Michelle happened, he’s been hooking up with every girl possible, having lots of one night stands with different girls. No strings attached, that’s what he used to tell us.
“Matt, tell me”.
“Well, he’s a sort of a womanizer.” I see her do the ‘I knew it’ expression on her face, so I continue, “But lately, since Katelyn, he’s been different. He kept himself to her, never mentioned any other girls”.
“Until Alexandra came along”
I sigh, putting my hands on my head. “Yeah, until Alexandra happened”.

Nina lets the white sheet fall on the floor and starts getting dressed.
“What are you doing?” I ask her.
“I’m going to Katelyn’s. She needs me. I don’t trust her being alone, you know, knowing the circumstances. I know she’d been doing great lately but what if one bad thing ticks her off and she does something unexpected?”
I agree with her. “You’re right”. I start looking for my clothes, Nina staring at me.
“I’m coming with you, obviously”.
“Huh, when you spend the night with a girl you always make sure that you end the day with them as well”, she chuckles, putting her hands on her hips.
“No, not usually. Just this time”, I move forward to her and kiss her softly on her lips. I part from it, “We should get going, or else we’ll end up in bed once more” I smirk at her.

When we arrive at Katelyn’s house, I turn to Nina.
“Wait. We have to be on the same page. We don’t know what happened during the date, so don’t assume anything.”
She sighs, “But…”
“Or maybe we should call Brian, let him explain”.
She shakes her head, “No not tonight”. I agree with her, “Exactly”.
We start walking towards her house and Nina knocks on the door. We hear nothing.
“Babe, it’s just me and Matt. Open the door for us, will ya?” Nina tells her, putting her forehead to the door. “Please, let us inside!”. Yet again, no response.
I see Nina, looking around, panicking while doing so.
“Hey, hey”, I stop her, grabbing her from her shoulder, “Calm down”
“What if she did something crazy Matt? Why the hell isn’t she opening the door? KATELYN!!” she bangs hard on the door, “Katelyn!!”
“Call her, maybe she’s asleep or something”.

Nina sits down, gets out her phone, and with trembling fingers she starts dialing Katelyn’s number. She puts it on speaker phone.
“Hello?”
“Katelyn?! Fuck you scared me!” Nina tells her, sighing with relief.
“Why is that?”
“Nothing, just open the door. Been here for ages!” we stand up moving to the door.
“The door of my house? I’m not there, Nina”.
Nina almost shuts her eyes, trying to understand. “What do you mean you’re not here?”
“I’m at Natalia’s friend. I decided to stay here for a while, away from everything”.
“Wait, wait, wait..hold on for a second! Which friend? Katie where are you?”
“Babe, don’t get me wrong, but no I’m not going to tell you. I need to get away from everything, try to forget everything. You can trust this person, I’ve been friends with her for a long time. I already phoned work, I have some time off again, I gave them the Rick excuse”.
Nina sits down on the door step. She seemed crushed. “How long are you going to stay there?”
“I don’t know yet. I’ll come back when I feel I’m ready. Nina, hope you understand”.
A tear comes strolling across Nina’s face, “Yes I do. I’m so sorry babe. But please promise me you’ll phone me every day, and don’t take long to come back. I’m missing you already!”
“I promise”, and she hangs up.

She stays quiet, staring at the ground. I put my arm around her trying to console her, she must be devastated as they’re like sisters. Doing everything together. At the same time I understand Katelyn, it must have been difficult for her to take such decision.
“Matt, can you please drive me to Brian’s place?” she asks me, still staring at the ground.
“Nina, why you want to go there?” I ask her. “Maybe it’s best if I go on my own”.
“I just want to know what happened. I promise I’m going to be civil, I’m not going to leave his place with his balls in my hands”. I stifle a chuckle since she wasn’t laughing at all. I grab her hand, get to my car and I start driving towards his house.
We did not exchange any words during the ride. I eyed her several times, she kept looking outside the window, holding her phone tightly in her hands.

Once we arrive at Brian’s house, I motion her the direction of his house. She gets out and starts walking fast at it. Shit, she better not do anything. As soon as I catch up with her she knocks several times on his door.
“My god I’m coming! Don’t you know how to fucking wait?!” he shouts from the inside.
As soon as Brian opens the door Nina pushes him inside and slaps him hard in his face.
“Ouch!!! What the fuck was that for?!” he yells at her, holding his face with his hand.
“You know for what! What the fuck is wrong with you?!” she pushes him further inside.
“Nina calm down”, I tell her.
“Don’t tell me to calm down! It’s all his fault! All his!!” she yells, looking at me but pointing at Brian.
“What is my fault? Not getting laid last night?” Once he said this remark Nina turned around and kicked him hard in the balls. That should be painful.
“Fuck! What the fuck is wrong with you?! Praise the Lord you’re a girl or else I would beat the shit out of you!”, he shouts, still holding his balls, “Matt do something!”
“She’s gone, because of you! You crushed her heart!” Nina yells in his face.
Brian looks up, looking confused, “Who are you talking about?”
“Katelyn! Who else?!”
“Wait…….what?!” he starts making sense out of the situation.
“Because of you, Katelyn is gone. She doesn’t want to tell me where she is. She just told me she needs to get away from everything. Congrats dude, you fucking made her run away!” she says, clapping her hands slowly.
“She’s not gone! She can’t be!” Brian looks at me desperately.

“She’s gone dude. For real. She’s not coming back for a while”, I calmly tell him.
Brian looks blankly with wide eyes open, not saying anything.
“Oh now you have nothing to say huh? Way to go with Alexandra dude”, Nina tells him coldly.
Brian hurriedly goes for a bottle of beer that was outside and takes a long sip. He then grabs the bottle and smashes it to the mirror in his living room, “FUCK!”
