Fire Inside

So next week is Thanksgiving, Matt and I have been great, the guys know about us and their ok with it but my dad still doesn’t know. I've been drawing a lot more, that’s what I was doing right now. I was in a little coffee shop/book store thing and I was drawing a couple that was across the room from me, they were just talking and smiling at each other, I noticed they were planning their wedding.

It’s a good thing they were occupied because it took me an hour to finish; I signed the bottom after coloring and shading it. I pulled it out of my book then packed my stuff away in my messenger bag; I grabbed my coffee and walked over to them ‘excuse me?’ I said softly, they looked up at me and I handed them the picture ‘congratulations on your wedding’ I smiled and they smiled back then thanked me, I nodded and walked out then down the block.

As I was walking home Matt called me ‘hello?’ ‘Hey baby’ he said and I smiled and walked a little faster ‘hey, what's up?’ ‘Not much, walking home from that coffee bookstore place’ ‘well are you doing anything the rest of the day?’ ‘Uh no I don’t think so’ ‘will you come over?’ ‘Yeah sure, I'm about to get into our neighborhood’ ‘ok great, I’ll see you when you get here’ ‘ok baby, bye’ ‘bye baby’ he said and I put my phone back in my pocket.

I sipped on my coffee and kept walking to Matt’s house, I got there in about 15 more minutes than rang the doorbell. The door opened and Matt smiled at me ‘you don’t have to ring the doorbell baby, just come in’ he said and I nodded then followed him inside and into the living room. I took my bag off and set it next to the couch then I sat on the coffee table in front of Matt ‘I thought you were busy today’ I said with a little smile on my face, he smiled back and nodded

‘I got done early’ ‘mhm, and what was so important that you couldn’t tell me?’ ‘All you need to know is that you have to wear something nice tonight’ he said and I narrowed my eyes at him ‘how nice?’ ‘Well, not fancy but nicer then casual’ ‘alright, should I go home to change?’ ‘well, you could go home and get clothes then come back over because I don’t plan on giving you back tonight’ he said and I giggled a little and nodded then kissed him, he kissed back then stole my coffee ‘I’ll be back in about 10 minutes’ I said and he nodded, I kissed him again then went home to pack, my dad wasn’t there so I left him a note then I walked back to Matt’s and walked into the living room

‘okie dokie’ I said and dropped my bag next to the other one, he smiled then motioned me over to him. I smiled and walked over to him and sat on his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck and shoulders ‘what do you have up your sleeve?’ I asked and he just kissed me ‘dinner?’ kisses ‘movie?’ more kisses ‘concert?’ more and more kisses ‘should I just stop asking?’ I giggled and he nodded then kissed me again, I kissed back and tightened my arms around him as he did the same to me.

‘How much time do we have?’ ‘About two hours before we have to be out the door’ ‘well I guess I better get ready then, I have to shower’ I said as I stood up, grabbed my bag and walked upstairs. ‘Are you coming?!’ I called as I walked into Matt’s room then into the bathroom; I heard some banging then he appeared in the doorway ‘what did you fall?’ ‘pffff no’ he said and I nodded then turned the shower on.

I stripped and was about to step in but Matt put me up on the sink ‘hey’ I pouted and he smirked ‘that’s not fair, you can pick me up whenever you want’ ‘I know, but I just wanted some kisses’ he said and I smiled then kissed him, he kissed back then picked me up again and got in the shower. He put my back up against the wall and we made out for a while but I finally pulled away and took a deep breath

‘not that I don’t enjoy kissing you, but I really need to shower if you want me ready in two hours’ I whispered and he nodded then set me on my feet, I walked under the water and got my hair and body wet then changed places with Matt as I soaped up and did my hair. He did the same; we shaved then rinsed off and got out. We both dried off and Matt wrapped the towel around his waist ‘I’ll let you get ready’ he whispered and I nodded, kissed him and he went to get dressed.

I finished drying off then I pulled on my bra and panties, I clipped my hair back nicely then did my makeup and got dressed. I made sure I looked ok then I walked downstairs to see Matt in nice dark jeans and a plain black shirt. ‘Is this ok?’ I asked as I entered, he looked over and smiled at me

‘yeah that’s great’ he said and I nodded then bit my lip as he stood up and walked over to me, ‘you ready?’ he asked and I nodded as I leaned down to grab my purse, we headed out and he kept me occupied the whole time so I didn’t really know where we were going but we pulled up to a really nice restaurant and you could chose to eat inside or outside

‘Matthew’ I said softly and he looked over at me ‘this is beautiful but not necessary’ ‘I’ve been wanting to take you here so shush and don’t move’ he said then got out of the car, I was a little confused but then he started walking over to my side to open my door for me. He helped me out and I smiled up at him as he wrapped his arm around my waist. We went inside and he had set a reservation for us ‘how did you know I’d even come with you tonight?’ ‘Because I know you’ he said and I rolled my eyes as we walked outside and were seated in a quiet little corner.

We gave our drink orders then looked at the menu ‘what are you gonna get?’ I asked and he just shrugged making me shake my head ‘here are your drinks, have you decided yet?’ the waiter said, I looked over at Matt and he nodded ‘yeah, I’ll have the lasagna’ Matt said and the waiter wrote that down then looked over at me

‘oh uh, spaghetti without the sauce please’ I said and he just rose an eyebrow at me ‘what? I don’t like the sauce’ I said with a little attitude, he nodded then took our menus and walked away. ‘Well’ ‘I hate when people look at me funny when I tell them I don’t like fucking sauce on my spaghetti’ I said a little harsher then I realized which made me sigh ‘sorry’ ‘it’s ok’ he smiled and I smiled back then leaned over the table and kissed him, he kissed back then I sat back in my seat.

We we’re having a great dinner, just talking and getting to know each other a little more then what we already know ‘so tell me’ I started and he looked up at me mid bite ‘why don’t you do your evil laugh for me? You only do it on the songs’ I pouted and he smirked as he was chewing, once he finished he answered ‘because we haven’t done anything yet and I don’t just go handing out evil laughs’ he said seriously making me giggle and nod ‘alright then’ I said and he smiled big as we kept eating.

Once that was finished we ordered some desert to share, it was a hot fudge Sunday and I was the one feeding it to Matthew and myself ‘your bill’ the waiter said as he handed it to Matt, he nodded and opened it then placed his card inside and handed it back. ‘How much?’ ‘Don’t worry about it’ ‘Matthew’ I warned and he smiled ‘only like $30’ he said and I nodded ‘ok then, that’s fine’ I laughed and he just shook his head at me.

Once we were back in the car I leaned over and kissed Matt’s cheek ‘what's that for?’ ‘for being so sweet’ I smiled and he smiled back then leaned over to kiss me, I kissed back and put my hand on the back of his neck because I didn’t want him to pull away but he did ‘I have somewhere else to take you’ he whispered, I nodded and sat back in my seat as he started the car and drove away. It was quiet as we drove to wherever we were going and he held my hand the whole way which made me very happy.

‘Here we are’ he said as he stopped in front of a lake ‘wow’ I whispered as I looked out the window ‘I know, come on’ he said as he shut the car off and got out. I did the same and we walked over to the little bench that was in front of the water, Matt sat down then pulled me on his lap. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his shoulders as he wrapped his around my waist

‘I come here to think sometimes’ he said softly and looked over the water ‘it’s beautiful’ ‘not as beautiful as you’ ‘that was cheesy baby’ I smiled and he chuckled a little and kissed me, I kissed back and ran my hand down his chest ‘did you take me here to get me in the mood?’ I whispered against his lips, I felt him smirk a little ‘is it working?’ ‘Matthew!’ I laughed and hit his chest, he laughed also and kissed me again ‘I'm kidding, I took you here because I wanted you to see it, I don’t share this with a lot of people’ he said and I nodded then looked back over the water and sighed softly as I leaned back against his chest and he wrapped his strong arms around me.

I don’t know how long we stayed there but it was nice and peaceful, we didn’t have to say anything to each other and we didn’t have anyone bothering us. I shivered a little and felt as Matt tightened his arms around me more ‘cold?’ ‘A little’ ‘wanna head back?’ ‘Not really’ I whispered as I tilted my head to look up at him ‘why not?’ ‘Because if we go back then I have to go home tomorrow and I don’t know when I’ll get to see you again’ I said sadly, he nodded and kissed my forehead

‘don’t worry about that, let’s go back so you don’t get sick’ he said, I nodded and got off his lap then stretched a little, I felt Matt’s hands run down my sides and stop at my hips as he pulled me back against him, I smiled and turned around in his arms ‘come on, let’s go home’ ‘alright’ he said then kept his arm around me as we walked back to the car, he helped me in then got in himself and we went back to his house.
